Loved building my CC02 but sold everything that made it a G500 (body/decals/wheels/tyres etc) and put a Lada Niva body on 😀😀😀 saved so much work lol

Yay, I’ve been waiting for the chassis build vid. Kudos sir for keeping this coming.
You do not have to glue any of the nuts in. Just get the alignment correct. This could be the first Tamiya kit that is asking you to glue the nuts in? Also you need to secure many nuts into the plastic parts. If you miss this you will need to take apart the last step to install. I missed this several times during assembly of the kit.

I think the Tamiya Gears have been pretty stout over the years... But CRP gears would be great. My CC-01 kit came with those CRP gears, and have been pretty reliable for over 12 years!!

I got the Aluminum suspension mounts they do not key to the chassis well but the work good.
You can also swap the suspension mounts around for yet another combination per arm :P
Those prop shafts are good and work correctly. However, you do need two sets.
I was able to put a Holmes Hobbies 550 motor in my truck. It fits with out any modifications.
Like to get a Holmes Hobbies 550 for my TRX4 and CC-02 but you just can't get them in the UK.
@@RCKickschannel I got mine on eBay. I bet you could do the same thing. I bought something that was only available in Germany. I bought it on eBay and already have it. I got a super micro R/C VW bus. This was not available here in the USA, but I have one now. The micro bus is made by Carson. Maybe you know what it is? Fun stuff!

Well, you say that, but it's 2 years later - Boxing Day 2022 - and I still can't find metal chassis rails . . .
I like. I probably wouldn't get one though. I not fond of the body. Maybe they'll bring another body option out.
Yep we will see a few different body designs on this chassis next year.

These are simple rails so it wouldn't take much for someone to make them. Fingers crossed, I would take a set.
