- A man and woman on a motorcycle were hit from behind by a car in the popular resort town of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The woman tumbled off the bike and into the street, but the man, named Alex James, became trapped beneath the car. Within seconds, total strangers rushed to his aid. Nearly two-dozen people worked together to lift the vehicle off James, as he was pulled to safety. Afterwards, James took to Facebook to express his gratitude.

i think what's being referred to is that in this situation, the vast majority were actually helping, unlike this generation of incompetent puppets where the vast majority would just be standing there recording rather than actually trying to save the person.
The position of one of the people with phones is basically recording, while the other is dialing.
This is what having good people around does. I'm glad that guy's okay.

I want heavy criminal charges for distracted driving. I ride. I'd like to make it home to my family. It's very unsafe out there, so so so many people drive with phones in their left or right hand it is incredibly scary.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to figure out. I would love a follow up story to hear more about what caused the driver to do that. I've never really seen anything like that before.

Probably some break malfunction. If he was texting and driving or something like that then he would've definitely hit the breaks when he hit the motorcycle. The wheels were still running for a moment when they weren't even touching the ground anymore.

I saw a couple of homeless people run over to help a lady push her car out of the intersection when it broke down last month. It is truly great to see people helping each other!
Oddly specific, I witnessed the same exact thing happen about a month ago in Warwick, RI right outside my work plaza. There’s two homeless people that stand over there every day and one morning a woman broke down right in the middle of the intersection so they both pushed her into the nearest parking lot

This legit reminds me of another incident that happened a few years back, when a man was leaving a train when his leg somehow got stuck between the gap that separates the train from the platform. Eventually, people noticed that the man needed assistance. Initially they tried simply pulling him out, but that didn’t work. Later, they attempted to tilt the train by a few inches in order to pull the man out much easier. Soon, a few hundred people actually worked to together to tilt a literal train. Fortunately their effort was successful and the gap widen enough to free the man.

I have a train story as well My little sister wasn't paying attention and her legs slipped between the train and the platform but we managed to pull her out.

I saw a man trying to push his car, beyond exhausted, so I jumped out to help. All it took was seeing my gimpy self trying to help this man to bring three more cars to a stop with far more able bodies. He had been pushing it a mile by the time I stopped, but no one even slowed until they saw me trying to help.
Be the change, and the change will follow you.
So good to see people respond to a need and help! We never know when it might be us that needs help!

Once heard this story out of Indonesia where a child of a village had gotten stuck between some rocks while playing with friends and the entire village of some 400+ people managed to rig a system of levers and blocks to move the rock. No heavy machinery or power tools, just pure determination.
This is what a community is! Stop the violence stop the killing. Stop the evil from this world from killing our next generations. Great job to all you guys who help this man live to see another day!🙏

she didnt took a hard hit and the car didnt seem to touch her. she used her brains and put her arms forward to soften the landing that prevented her hitting her head. next time though both should start wearing protection

i wish there was kind people lke this when i lost my only child..my 29 year old son last july due to a woman running stop sign hit him while he was doing the right thing just trying to come home from work. 😢❤ i am thankful all these people helped him get out from under the car. My son was hit by a Toyota 4x4 truck.😢

I'm crying watching this because I have never seen people helping eachother like this. I had lost faith in humanity. Too many humans have stood by and watched/video recorded instead of helping. I'm so thankful for this video for showing humanity is still O.K.

As someone who was also hit by a car (while in a crosswalk) I too appreciate all the good Samaritans that helped even the driver stayed in both his case and my case, we need more people and drivers to work together to save victims like me and that guy.

Same my oldest daughter was hit in a crosswalk. A crosswalk where no street light but is marked and cars should stopped. Thanks the driver for stopping and doing the right thing. Next month will marked 8 years. My daughter having a 2nd chance at life is the reason I got to see her graduated high school and college.

Everything aside, that’s impressive. A car weighs tons if not maybe 900 pounds. And about 11-17 grown men were able to lift it

He is very lucky that the motorcycle was under the car, holding the weight of the car off him.
