This shoe is legit! I’m 27 and have been running since I was 12 and this is one of the most comfortable, peppy, and fun daily trainers I’ve ever worn. Shockingly feels light as well. This is night and day from version 12.
New Balance, Saucony, and Mizuno are my goto's for shoe needs & they've gotten so much better in the past couple years as far as comfort & performance. Their reformulation of proprietary blends have reached a sweet spot goldilocks zone in my opinion closing the gap of potential trade-offs.
I like the simplicity. I do think the darker colours look a bit boring but the lighter ones look clean. I actually find the Nimbus 25 looks kind of chunky and goofy.
I'm DYING to find out whether the heel cup is rigid and tight or soft and roomy. I developed Haglund's heel on both feet, which doesn't seem to be an issue when running in my Asics Glide Ride 3 or Puma Deviate Nitro Elite. The former is almost ready to retire, the latter might not be cushioned/soft enough for my upcoming marathon :(
What is the fit like compared to the v12? The v12 was about 1/4 inch longer and wider than TTS and I'm wondering if this is back to true to size like the v10.
It's much better than More v4 wich has a third of it's foam stack over your feet not under. And a drop is also way comfier. V13 is like new softer Pegasus.
I'd like to see a reviewer slap the 2 outsoles against each other to give a rough compare. The 'Mores' have such a wide footprint, I'm guessing the 1080 is less extreme on that.
@@q20a08Yes! I have the More V4s and they feel clunky because of the wide footprint. I tried on the 180 v13 at a store and immediately liked them over my More V4s.

Seriously, the NB fuelcell Rebel 3 and the Propel 4 are much better options than the 1080. I have all 3 versions. 1080 is mediocre. Not a bad shoe but overpriced for what it is. Mediocre performance
I don’t find it chunky. I like the simplicity…but I do like the clean looking lighter colour ways. The darker ones are a bit boring. Nimbus 25 is chunky, with bulbous foam firing out the back. Superblast is chunky, with foam popping out back, sides and up the sides.
This is a new Fresh Foam X compound and has its own unique feel. Fresh Foam X is a very general term that's been used since 2021 (taking over for Fresh Foam) and will have different feels between models. Different shoes have different additives and durometers so while other shoes may feature Fresh Foam X technology and geometries, they wont feature the same exact Fresh Foam X compound. -Connor

Unfortunately for me and my Flintstones feet, the Ghost and the 1080 are my best options. Sigh.

the V12 gave me some major ankle rub. will it change with V13 let's see

What is the weight for v13? Will it be lighter than v12 and the nimbus 25 ?
We measured a mens 9 of the 1080 v13 at 9.2 oz so about an oz lighter than Nimbus 25 and 1080 v12

I believe I ran a 14 mile long run in the 1080 v13. It can pretty much handle any distance. -Connor

Rebel 3 is great and of course the supercomp is superior.
