the touch doesnt work at the top area in a line. everything else works except that about finger sized line across the screen when the phone is vertically. it just clicks both above and below that line.

The issue is most likely with the screen.

I've had few of these before. If you cant find solution just reheat 2 pins on fpc connector above C9000 3v (like 1:29 in video) and one on the right next to this component. Usually weak solder connection on fpc is causing complete no touch or problems with it.
