    Ah, the days when Matt couldn't keep his hands off the guitar. So many magical improvisations. Starlight really sticks out here because he adds so much on guitar to it, but now he doesn't even play guitar on it anymore. Oh well, at least amazing videos like this exist.

      These were all fresh songs, that came out recently after being released and nto played many times.
      Look how many shows they've done and look at thbe setlists for all the shows over the like... TEN years since.
      I wish they would just come on and play what they want, not worrya botu pleasing us, they'd create more.
      This would require too big a change up.
      And the moment hsa passed :O
      Tbh people during this era, missed the OOS and Absolution period.
      Ever hear that song that goes.
      And don't (dooooooo.oh oh oh... oh ohhhhn't) embrace the past(paaaaaaaaaast)

    • @legenden17

      @CasualAnimeGeek their concerts are long nowadays, so some break without guitar is better than playing 2-2.5hour full guitar, thats the reason.

    • @marinatz9269

      @@legenden17 all their concerts I have seen online are around 1:30 hours. I wished they played more although I understand that it is physically exhausting

    • @mechtime
      @mechtime Год назад

      Yeah, they've played almost 1600 concerts (not to mention all the practice time). I'm amazed any heavily touring musicians can stand to play their old music after so many repeats. Honestly, I wish they wouldn't. I fear the repetition numbs their creative faculties.

    • @tutsybassista
      @tutsybassista Год назад +1

      @@TRLarsen89Obviously, you guys are not musicians but posers! Fans wanted heavy, and they got Drones. Classical arrangements and Chris singing lead was The 2nd law (bittersweet for me).
      They did add a hidden guy (only for some live tracks) but he's NOT another member of MUSE.
      Still, they are the same, just older. Evolving in a band for decades is so fucking rare; and they're a 3 piece! I can't even think of another 3 piece to compare them to.
      I hope they get inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame someday. They deserve it!
      They're also professional, humble, funny, and can PULVERIZE any other act playing an arena!

    This band was so inspired and reliable and it was one of biggest passions to young people. Indeed their style stuck to the hopes and needs of a restricted field of listeners and they didn't foresee to play along with commercial tunes or to be close to teenagers. Actually they're looking at the success and they're leaving out whatever provided so far, I think they don't want to remember the ones who loved them. Their keenest fans are so let down and they don't spot any Muse reference in their latter album because it surely gets aloof from their outset and the former approach they took on. I think you have to share your opinion and not to be frightened of giving off your dissatisfaction when required.

    • @ianlenn5408
      @ianlenn5408 7 лет назад +2

      fretui medak so, a band can be creative and innovative... if it's the right type of creativeness and innovation. The 2nd Law was their most fun and interesting studio process they've had (their words not mine). And The 2nd Law still had a lot more rockier tracks on it. Survival, Supremacy, Liquid State. And by no means are any of the tracks on T2L bad. Matt expressed his lyrical and musical creativity more than ever on T2L via a new inspiration, diverging from the one he'd clearly gotten exhausted of. He, and the rest of the guys, recorded Drones more for the fans. Matt just found some new idea that he wouldn't be tired of writing about for a while. He's said lately, on Twitter, that they are doing something different on the next album. When replying to a fan talking about how they should do more rock stuff he said, "That was last album, silly! Thinking about dusting off the old acoustic. It's been a while." If we keep coercing and guilt tripping the band into doing more of the same, they'll end it on not-so-great terms.

    • @muhgtra2sd
      @muhgtra2sd 7 лет назад

      Thanks for your comment! I want to point out that Muse changed their style over the years and everyone might grab that clear difference between their debut album and their latest record. Don't you think that finding an akin difference is reasonably easy?

    • @FrothyC0ffee

      As a teenager I listened to their earlier albums on repeat, it really resonated with me. Now I'm older and holy fuck muse are literally one of the best live bands. You can say you don't like their new stuff in comparison, but i mean, really, live it's just so good, keep your mind/ears open :D

    • @tutsybassista
      @tutsybassista Год назад +2

      @@FrothyC0ffeeExactly! Change is part of success. Very few bands/artists don't even get that far.
      But, since 1999, the change feels like 50 years! Teenagers don't buy instruments and play in a band, they're all twerking on TIC TOC (I have 2 teenage daughters, so I know) Snapchat and Instagram.
      And the worst is they cut their music programs! They're also getting controversial in school instead of learning about your basic math, history, and science.
      It kills me! And, they can't even write in cursive.

    Yeah I don't know about Uni. I need to audition in October/November this year but I can't decide whether to do a classical percussion degree where you do like grade 8 percussion pieces and perform in orchestras or whether to study a modern session playing degree where you focus on drumming and recording and stuff. My digital kit is the Roland TD3kw and that is probably around £600 so digital kits don't really come cheap.But mine will probably last a life time :D :D :D

    Well their melodic composition is so precise it's uncanny live or not, of coarse they borrow many techniques from other artists all the way from Rachmaninoff to Queen but they use them in a way that sounds so brand new it's practically original.

    • @tutsybassista
      @tutsybassista Год назад +1

      They are original, duh! Just because an artist is "influenced" by someone, doesn't mean they're stealing someone else's work. That's why we have copyright laws.
      ALL artists do this! Name one that doesn't (don't count Mili Vanilli, Vanilla Ice or Nirvana)!
