Your videos really helped me decide between the two - I just purchased a Supernote A5X. I'd been eyeing Remarkable for a few years but didn't like the lack of page organization. I do like to draw but prefer gel pens and sharpies over pencil - so this was very helpful. Thanks.
Great video. Pen vs pencil, writer vs drawer. Exactly what I needed to hear. Straightforward and simple. Definitely helped me decide what to purchase. Thank you!
@@KitBetts-Masters Of these 2, I would get SuperNote. I am barely a doodler 😄. But I saw another video that mentions Papyr. I plan to review it before deciding. Have you used the Papyr e-writer?
@@michelleharris8745 yeah, I have a few videos on the papyr and I love it. I keep going back to it for the size and the screen sharing feature via the web app. It's really designed for teachers and I love it for that reason.
Thank you this really helped me make a decision! I have been thinking about the Remarkable for a long time but I’ve been recently even more turned off by their subscription for features that I personally think should be included in the base cost. Supernote it is!
What features would those be? I'm also considering a digital notepad since im always taking notes and doodles preferably that I can save. I think both are pricey but having to pay extra for features would be a turnoff for me
After watching probably 8 hours or more of Voja's videos and using a coworker's reMarkable, I ordered the Supernote A5x, which will be here in a few weeks. I figured I'd watch this to see if I made a mistake, but your analogy of "pen and paper vs pencil and paper" really clinched it for me. If that's what it's about, then I should be very happy, and could have figured that out in 5 minutes rather than 8 hours... :)
Yes I think that might be a bad decision on their part! But to be fair the free cloud is probably totally useable for most people. But we'll have to see what this expanding universe of features looks like long term! Supernote is really good. I'm sold.
Just bought the Remarkable 2 for my wife and she has enjoyed it so far. I think had I known about the Supernote, I would have purchased it for her based on the extra uses it has, but the functionality of the Remarkable is still great. Just boils down to one’s personal preference/need it seems.
I have binging your content. Do you have more comparrision videos between the Supernote and Remarkable? What about the Supernote vs. Remarkable paper pro?
I have thumbed through so many of these comparison reviews and this is the best one I've come across this far! Straight to the point, with a focus on use-case rather than technical specifications. I was already pretty sold on the Supernote over the Remarkable for my use case and this has really cemented that as a pen&paper person, the Supernote would be best for me.
I just picked up the remarkable and there is a lot to love about it. However I’m returning it because 1. Lack of a true pen slot on the nicer folio. 2. Continued cost of ownership. 3. I was thinking I’d love to connect my kindle app but can’t. Well now, because of this video I know I can on the super note. Thanks!
I'd just like to add my thanks for this and your other review videos - I'm an author who writes my first drafts longhand in A5 moleskines - and I go through dozens of them! My last book was 160k words and you can imagine how much time it takes to then transcribe all those notes to a Pages document. This will save me months. I watched lots of review/comparison videos and yours has finally helped me make a decision. I had been thinking about the Remarkable2 but have been put off by their sudden subscription for features that should be included in the base cost. Paying extra for handwriting recognition on a handwriting tool is quite frankly nuts! So Supernote it is, although their official European suppliers Gorillascribe are still saying lockdown in Singapore is causing delays.
This video is so helpful!! I’m definitely a pen and paper person so will be going for the SuperNote. I’ve been looking at so many comparison articles, threads and videos, but this was the most helpful. Thanks!
I purchased the remarkable back when they first launched. It has been a great tool for me in note taking and just jotting down stuff and replace paper in our household. I even bought a second one for my wife who uses it in her therapy sessions. I personally wouldn’t mind seeing a smaller version. I have enjoyed the remarkable.
@@123451234596 Here's my experience with both: ReMarkable Pros: - The device and the folio both feel more sturdy and well made. - The ReMarkable 2 doesn't automatically turn on when the folio's cover falls open. You have to click a button to turn it on. - Turning on the ReMarkable is instantaneous (unless you have to reboot it, of course). - The ReMarkable feels better to write on. - The ReMarkable is magnitudes faster than the Supernote. - ReMarkable's syncing service works well. - Reading PDFs on the device works well. ReMarkable Cons: - The pen works well, but it is really thin. The Supernote pens feel better in my hand. - The ReMarkable's pen sticks to the side of the ReMarkable via a magnet (similar to the iPad and Apple Pencil) and falls off all the time. - You can't add custom templates to the ReMarkable. - You cannot read EPUB books on the remarkable. - The ReMarkable is held in the folio via magnets. It has only happened once, but it did fall out. Fortunately, it was just a few inches onto the couch. Supernote Pros: - The Supernote has a lot more templates. Specifically, it has a template for writing Kanji, which I use a lot. - The Supernote's pen is thicker. It feels kind of hollow and cheap, but I like its thickness. - The Supernote's pen is held in place by a faux-leather loop in the folio. I've never had it fall out. - The Supernote is held in the folio by a long bracket, so it can't fall out. - More feature-rich than the ReMarkable. Supernote Cons: - It is SLOOOOOW. - The writing experience is somewhere between an iPad and a ReMarkable. Not bad, but not the best either. - The Kindle app is virtually useless because of how slow the Supernote is. It takes forever to launch and you could cook a turkey in between page turns. - The folio is cheap and floppy so it falls open easily, which is an issue because the device turns on when the folio opens (the ReMarkable's folio feels a lot more high-end, even though it probably isn't). - The Supernote feels like cheap plastic. Final Thoughts: I could deal with the lower quality materials of the Supernote if it performed as well as the ReMarkable, so the biggest issue for me is how laggy and unresponsive it is, especially when trying to read Kindle books. Writing on the Supernote isn't too bad, but over time, I've found I do everything on my ReMarkable and only practice writing kanji on my Supernote.
Thanks this really helped me make a decision. I really need someone to bullet point my options for me and you did. Surprisingly I was all ready to get the Remarkable but now I'm team Supernote. Thanks again.
I own both devices and I would never have purchased the Supenote had I been able to use both beforehand. Yes, the Supernote has more capabilities, like being able to run the Kindle app so you can read Kindle books; however, where the ReMarkable 2 feels great to write on as is responsive, the Supernote is SLOOOOOOOW and a bit janky to use. It also feels a lot cheaper, build-wise, than the ReMarkable 2. I want to like the Supernote, because it has some great features. Unfortunately, the lag is too frustrating for it to be useful. This is especially true of the Kindle app.
I think in words, but I prefer pencil on paper. Absolutely, the features of the Supernote are better suited to how I will use it. I only wish it felt like pencil to paper. I haven't take the leap yet, but your videos are very helpful in my research process.
What a great review. This is exactly the kind of first-review-to-watch type of video because I think you've done a bang-up job of encapsulating the fundamental differences in approach to using Remarkable 2 vs. Supernote. Plus, your personal style is just right for this type of presentation: Calm, collected, friendly yet lacking in the histrionics and absolute superlatives so common to "reviews" these days. Good show. Literally.
Thanks Craig! So pleased you found it useful! Have you seen the latest comparison I did between them. Including the note air 2 as well? I'll have a more detailed one coming soon as well so stay tuned for that!
@@KitBetts-Masters No, I haven't. This morning I happenstanced upon your reviews, but I've been eyeing the Remarkable now for a couple of years but couldn't bring myself to take the plunge. The problem is that, as with most technology platforms, no single one does it all, and, also as usual, my needs are like a Venn diagram of the multiple offerings, with me in the middle. I want primarily to write, take notes, and keep them organized. Secondarily, say 50% as important, is the ability to sketch. I can't draw worth a damn, but it's a nice to have when I need it. I assume the Supernote doesn't draw very well. And, as an avid reader whose eyes aren't as young as they used to be, I like the idea of Kindle on a device that does, well, more than a Kindle. The Supernote is, however, more expensive, and-wait for my first-world problem gripe-it has no magnetic pen!?!? Wait. Isn't any gripe related to either of these a first-world problem gripe. LOL
@@cdsandiego hahaha, understood! The supernote can be used just fine for sketching, and if writing is your priority I think it may be your best bet. The lack of magnets is no issue for me as you have the pen loop, and their pens are brilliant!
Thank you. You helped me narrow down my selection. The Supernote A5X is my choice. It's going to be difficult deciding to return the remarkable 2. I can't keep them both. Super appreciative that I can compare both. They each are excellent. SN provides me access to Kindle books. No distractions! I am currently learning the basics on the SN Thank you again for your very informative reviews!!!
I really appreciate all your reviews. In the end, I went with an iPad air with "paperlike" a screen protector. Simply because for the money, it's far more versatile, connected and useful.
Great video. Two things: It would be nice to know about things like the latency of the Supernote and it's cloud options. Unfortunately your links at the end are only for reMarkable products. Although I'm more of a writer than an artist I do enjoy art and design and fiddling with Vector graphics so I'd probably use the reMarkable but it would be nice to know a bit more abou the competition. I'm hoping that this competition will add a few more features to the RM2 as updates or when they start to think about RM3.
Cloud is good, I like that it's a web app, rather than an actual installed program, that being said the remarkable app for pc, and smartphone and plugin for chrome is really awesome. To be honest there is a lot said about latency, but with the three devices I've used extensively they are all totally fine, it's the type of thing that you only notice of you look for it. That being said, the channel "my deep guide" has really detailed descriptions of all these devices, once you find one that you are interested, he'll have a good few hours of content on it! 🙂🦍 Hope my video helped!
@@KitBetts-Masters i found ur advice helpful, i am a senior looking for a device that would print my hand written books to text. Very slow with typing. Not much help with this.Just got computer. Need 2 be able to scroll over handwriting, let it appear on screen. Thanks.
this is exactly what I was looking for. Short vid, but full of info I need to make my choice. I've watched so many videos, but this was it. I'm going with the Supernote for the reasons you listed, thank you.
I use pen and pad constantly. I go through numerous stacks of pads. They become piles of papers with hand-written notes and ideas that get lost and confused. Many times, I just can't find what I'm looking for from a meeting or an inspiration. Very frustrating. Then, very recently, the price of papers pads jumped from 25+ USD to 40+ USD and I knew I needed to make a change. E-ink seemed to be the answer. The reviews on this site have been invaluable to helping me make a decision on what to buy. Supernote is clearly what would work for me. Thank you!
Thanks Kit for posting such in depth and practical reviews of these products. It’s really helpful to have a clear, well explained video evaluating features - and I watched the in depth versions in full too before ordering my supernote. Practical focus of your video style stands out from all the other typical RUclips over-hyped “click, subscribe, advert filled junk out here! Keep up the great work. Wish my teachers at school had explained things as well as you do!!
Excellent video! I just discovered these two devices. I am an artist and an architect. The feel of the paper is very important to me. I think this video does a good job at introducing and comparing the two devices without any added nonsense. BTW, you have a great voice. You should try voice over narration.
I'm ordering the A5X today! All thanks to your review (and a couple of others), but this one and the comments clenched it. I'm writing a book, and sounds like the SuperNote is exactly what I want! Curious though... can I create my own pdf template, upload it and then write on it? I'm old, and technically challenged, so fingers crossed 🤞 I can really utilize this!
Having watched many of your, and others' videos, this was the one that decided me on the Remarkable. Thank you. I need an eink notebook to Write; to practice writing, penmanship, caligraphy, and learning foreign languages.
Thankyou for you clear unbiased review and analogies. It cleared up lots of features for me. I stumbled upon the remarkable first and been eyeing it for quite some time and my primary use was for productivity. As now I am leaning toward the supernote, the calendar would be an amazing addition. I am also more of a pen and paper person myself. But the use of organization will help me the most in organizing my thoughts and access to email and a calendar is just an incredible addition to have. I would love to enjoy a distraction free “just brain to paper” device to offload my brain, keep me productive and everything organized. Your voice is also very soothing but strong. Thankyou.
fantastic review! Can you recommend a specific size of the Supernote? I guess its personal preference. I originally was leaning toward the Remarkable2 and now i think the Supernote might be the better fit. Does it also have a backlight (the Supernote)? Thank you kit! Don
Helpful explanation. I wouldn't mind if you elaborated on the storage costs. It seems the remarkable charges an ongoing monthly fee and the supernote does not (correct me if I'm wrong). That kind of stuff matters as well when choosing between the two. It also seems that the supernote team is quite active continuing the development and pushing updates, which is of value to me.
I use Remarkable 1 for over 4 years now. Great device. It helped me throughout university. So i can say after several years that, It converts writing to text now too, it has updates with different pafe layouts and fonts, it sends emails and sign documents. I like the idea when I need to fill a document and send it off. I simply download file to reMarkable fill it in and sign then send it from device whenever i want. I've never heard of Supernote before, but by listening you now it does same thing. But In my opinion both devices has maybe 95% same features :) whoever owns Remarkable 1 or 2 i only can say Great Choice.
Love this video! I ordered a Remarkable 2 a few days ago and it’s due to arrive next week. I didn’t know of the supernote before ordering the Rm2, and now I’ve been thinking whether the SN would have been better. However, I think the Rm2 would do exactly what I want it to. I want the feel of writing on paper and just a place to keep my notes. I’m so used to typing for work and I just miss writing things down, plus I love that you can draw diagrams and I do like drawing now and again so it’ll be nice to try that feature. I’m due to be doing some studying again soon and I’ve always found that writing my notes and thoughts helps me remember information better. One main reason I looked in to an electronic notebook was because sometimes I will just avoid taking notes as I hate paper waste, and I also don’t have room to have several folders of paper notes at home 😆 I have my phone for my calendar and emails so it’s great the Rm2 is just really simple and basically just a notebook so I’m not getting distracted. I think both are really great devices! I would have both if I could afford to 🙂
I ordered the remarkable 2 yesterday, after umming and ahhing for months. I think it just has to be something you need to experience before you can really make a decision - and unfortunately there don't seem to be any devices for demos in shops here in the UK. So the next best option was to get the remarkable 2 and then use the 30 day money back guarantee if it's not what I'm after. The question is, how long did it take for yours to be delivered, after ordering?
@@KitBetts-Masters - so far, so very good. Great response from family members to receiving hand written emails. (Though setting up Gmail was more time consuming than I thought it would be). Loving the use of layers, so am about to draw my own template (using a ruler!) for flight plans.
Thank you for such a solid review of both devices! Question: I simply want a device to replace the 20 notebooks I have laying around the house. How is the organization of documents on each of these…folders? Table of contents by date/title??
This guy could be a model for a hair shampoo , you can tell his every move deep inside he feels his hair , it’s like look I got a good hair , but he’s trying not tell how he feels.
Thanks so much for your video. I wish I had found them earlier. How is the Supernote for handwriting to text conversion? Accuracy, etc. I'm a therapist. I want to handwrite notes in my counselling sessions with a client, convert them to text, then save them to the client file located on an online platform for therapists that I subscribe to. I have JUST purchased the Remarkable 2 before realizing that Supernote existed. I really hate the idea that I have to pay monthly for Remarkable's Connect service to benefit from the handwriting to text conversion. So I'm so tempted to ship back the Remarkable 2 before even opening the box up, and purchasing a Supernote. Does Supernote have spell check too? Any thoughts on this decision of mine would be AMAZING! Thanks in advance!
Hiya, I don't think it has spell check, but that might come later, especially if you request it! Handwriting to text is pretty accurate I find on supernote. The remarkable is good, but so is the supernote, and yes I agree the subscription model seems like an odd choice for them, however I don't think they will be taking away features like handwriting recognition from free users... but I could be wrong! Thanks for the comment!
I replied earlier but I don’t think it posted. Remarkable now charge a subscription for the handwriting to text feature. Absolutely shocking! It must have occurred really recently because no product reviews out there are actually acknowledging that aspect. I'll be sending mine back once it arrives. I just wasn't aware that there were other comparable products on the market. Remarkable's marketing is really good! Or my searching is poor 🤣 Thanks again!
Great review! I think the Supernote will be better for me, so I'm waiting for the A5x2 to come out, but the one thing I'm not sure about is whether or not Supernote will support and external keyboard well without lag time. Remarkable 2's integrated type folio is the one thing that is making me still consider Remarkable 2. I definitely want a tablet for writing, but writing both by hand and with a keyboard.
Hello and thank you for this video… may I ask which one is better in pdf reviewing (I specifically will use it to review academic writings and study on books) Edit 1, after 3 days: the look of the remarkable is astonishing. The overall experience of touch and feel is quite amazing. The device is really thin, some will like it but i'm not that comfortable with that, it feels very fragile. The UI is quite fast but there are some really annoying bugs (such as ghost touch detection, You'll find more on reddit on this topic). The importing app is quite slow and laggy and for some reasons sometimes it doesn't want to sync your files. I really enjoyed it during practices to collect anamnesis and make some fast notes. The pdf experience is nice but not enough: I can read properly an a4 book but the highlighting and annotation process seems limited. So, nice device with a premium feel but not so practical. If you look, as the video said, for more than "paper and pencil" it will not work for you I will return the device and opt for an a5x (still, I'm a little worried about the UI and writing speed of the Ratta device). For some days I'll have both devices; I'll make a quick comparison that I'll add here.
I think they are both equal in .pdf viewing. Both very good. However, I think academic reading you may wish to look for one of the 13 inch e-read devices that are out there. 🙂
@@KitBetts-Masters thank you for the quick answer. I’m not looking for a 13” because I will use it also to take notes during clinical practices… those devices are too big to be held with one hand
@@mariobibbo3670 ah makes sense. Well in that case you've got two great options right here. I'm bringing out a more detailed comparison of the two devices in the next few days. Sneak preview, the supernote just pips it in the reading category. But really, I think you still choose between them with whichever writing feel you think you will prefer!
Thanks for your short-and-sweet review, to the point and helpful. I've been enjoying and using the Remarkable 1 for a few years now, it's awesome. But am thinking I might upgrade next year and after researching more, I might transition to the Supernote due to having just slightly more features and I'd rather not have Remarkable's ongoing costs.
Yo tengo el supernote, y probe el Remarkable. El supernote A5x es por muchisimo mejor equipo que el Remarkable 2. Solo el modo “digest” ya es un tremendo punto.
To me, the Remarkable has a slight edge in terms of the writing surface and pen. The SN feels like one is writing on a credit card. On the other hand, the SN has a brighter screen and is lighter. So I’m torn, wondering if we may see a new version of either one coming out this year. For the SN, I’d like to get a pen that does not have the spring action of the HOM pen. Suggestions? Thx!!!
thank for the video; I will probably go with Supernote to save me from constantly scanning my notes at work. the filing feature is also super-exciting to me because I work trying to keep up with continuously changing number of clients......thank again
Sounds ideal for that TBH, you could just ah e a client reference as a keyword and search any instances of them. And just delete the keyword when all is done!
Thanks so much for the comment, welcome to the fascinating world of e note tablets! I think they're one of the most interesting new tech market segments recently!
Thanks, I'd wait till January as there are many eink tablets being launched at the minute! Lots of options, certainly though, A5X is an excellent choice and will still be in January!
Finally a video that gave me the answers to the questions I had about buying an eink tablet. Thank you! I access ebooks for uni via the kortex app which I need to annotate, also PowerPoints and PDFs. Would the Supernote support that?
Did that wooly looking case with the stylus slot on the outside come with your reMarkable? Most of the other videos have steered me away from the reMarkable but your pencil vs pen analogy has me considering it again. I started down this road in the first place wanting to sketch digitally, maybe I should go with my gut and give it a try. But the subscription thing has me a little leery. Are there other ways to access your files if you don't subscribe or the program goes belly up? Also would you buy one of the company's pricey folios or just buy one off Amazon? Seems like some protect the pencil better...
Hiya, yeah, it was an option on remarkable 1. I think they still have similar sleeves available for the rm2 but maybe without the loop. I totally agree the magnetic snap isn't the best for putting away in your bag etc! As per files, you can still get them on the cloud without subscription, they just stop syncing. You can email them to yourself, upload to goog drive or Dropbox, or you can simply plug into a pc and access the device like a hard drive.
Is there a color ink feature for either device? I'm looking to replace my multiple moleskin notebooks and just ordered a Remarkable 2. Now I'm wondering if I should try Super note and compare.
Thank you for your review - it does help me with the decision - I think that based on this I am going to go with Supernote as a replacement for work notebook.
Hello, I would like to be able to decide and that is why I have decided to ask you. I currently have an ipad and would like a new device to take notes in my meetings, annotate documents and use it to read and learn english from books. Which one do you recommend for me? RM 2, Supernote a5x or Onyx boox? Thanks a lot
Sir I want to get a good quality microphone. Where is your microphone from? I need one for a MacBook sir please can you recommend one please sir? Thanks in advance. Keep well and safe sir.
Hi Kit, thank you for this great video (and for the other ones as well!). I got both the devices and must say that the writing feeling is great in both, though I agree that on the Supernote it feels more like pen to paper. However, the RM2 feels smoother, more of a gliding feeling. It's a question of getting used to the Supernote I guess (I got it later, planning to return the RM2 after watching all the reviews/comparisons on YT). I must admit though that I'm negatively surprised by the fact that Supernote's screen is significantly darker, more yellowish in comparison to the lighter, "whiter" look of the RM2 screen. I wonder what your take on that is. Has it been a problem for you when using the Supernote? Thanks in advance for your opinion! Cheers!
Yes, I've noticed that too. Not something that has ever bothered me, I really like the supernote screen! The only thing I'd say is the difference in hue perhaps looks odd because the device is pure white. The remarkable screen and shell is very well matched. It's a very attractive device. But unless you want drawing, it's supernote every time.
Thank you for your quick reply, Kit! And for dissolving my doubts :) Indeed, Supernote's screen is darker (even taking the white frame bias into account), but I hope I'll get used to it when writing, they way you did :)
The Sketching you are speaking of is different than the one he is speaking, at least is what I understand, I'm not an engineer, but I do a lot of engineering by myself, well, at least I make and design things, and the supernote works really well for sketching for engineering, for me, the remarkable only works well if you are into art and things like that, for the rest, the supernote is just better. Also in the roadmap of the supernote they have the intention of adding more drawing related options for 2022
Thanks both! Yes, I was going to mention that! The good news is they're both great so you can't really go wrong. It might come down to feel, more of a scratchy pencil and paper on the rM or ballpoint feel on the SN. I have a more detailed comparison coming soon, if you still can't make up you mind! Otherwise will you let me know which you choose and how you get on with it? 🙂🦍

Your comment regarding distraction free writing was spot on...that is definitely a key reason to consider a single purpose device.
Thanks!
Great, hope you enjoy it, the writing feel is different, takes a while to get used to it, but I prefer it for writing!
Yes I think that's true! Thanks so much, I don't think you'll regret your decision!
This video is so helpful!! I’m definitely a pen and paper person so will be going for the SuperNote. I’ve been looking at so many comparison articles, threads and videos, but this was the most helpful. Thanks!
What made you decide to go for the SuperNote?
I don't think you'll be disappointed. Drop back and let me know how you get on!
Stick with the ReMarkable. I own both and the Remarkable is by far the better device.
@@Dr._Grant_R._Fairbanks Why
@@123451234596 Here's my experience with both:
ReMarkable Pros:
- The device and the folio both feel more sturdy and well made.
ReMarkable Cons:
- The pen works well, but it is really thin.
Supernote Pros:
- The Supernote has a lot more templates.
Supernote Cons:
- It is SLOOOOOW.
That comment about the supernote feeling like pen on paper was exactly what I needed to decided thank you!
Glad to help! Trying to give succinct and useful evaluations for folks like you!
Thanks this really helped me make a decision. I really need someone to bullet point my options for me and you did. Surprisingly I was all ready to get the Remarkable but now I'm team Supernote. Thanks again.
Hope it meets your needs! Let me know how you get on!
Agreed. You don't know how rare you are.
Thank you. You helped me narrow down my selection. The Supernote A5X is my choice. It's going to be difficult deciding to return the remarkable 2. I can't keep them both. Super appreciative that I can compare both. They each are excellent. SN provides me access to Kindle books. No distractions!
I am currently learning the basics on the SN
Thank you again for your very informative reviews!!!
This is a good video. I like how he opened up with being straight to the point then going into details later.
Thanks so much, something I learned from TL:DR review channel!
I really appreciate all your reviews. In the end, I went with an iPad air with "paperlike" a screen protector. Simply because for the money, it's far more versatile, connected and useful.
Great video. Two things:
It would be nice to know about things like the latency of the Supernote and it's cloud options.
Hope my video helped!
@@KitBetts-Masters i found ur advice helpful, i am a senior looking for a device that would print my hand written books to text. Very slow with typing. Not much help with this.Just got computer. Need 2 be able to scroll over handwriting, let it appear on screen. Thanks.
Fantastic videos. Extremely thoughtful and objective. Helped me decide in the supernote A5X.
Thanks Kit! Looking forward to your takes on the new Supernote when it comes out.
Absolutely, can't wait to make the content!
this is exactly what I was looking for. Short vid, but full of info I need to make my choice. I've watched so many videos, but this was it. I'm going with the Supernote for the reasons you listed, thank you.
I choose the Supernote, just because the lack of concern Remarkable has on their community support
What a great no-nonsense video! Surprised this channel has only 16K subscribers until now.
Thanks bud, glad to have you as a subscriber!
Thank you!
Yes. This is exactly why I got into this technology! Good luck with it and please do let me know how you get on!
Thanks so much for the comment. Very much pleased to aim!
Just what i needed... thank you! I couldn't recall which my DH wanted but I knew the features he liked. You nailed it, Much appreciation!
Appreciate the no click bait approach. Thank you. Helped a lot
Thanks so much Han! I have a few more of this type of video if you're needing to see more comparisons before taking the plunge!
Let me know what you do go for in the end and how you find it.
Excellent video! I just discovered these two devices. I am an artist and an architect. The feel of the paper is very important to me. I think this video does a good job at introducing and comparing the two devices without any added nonsense.
BTW, you have a great voice. You should try voice over narration.
Thanks so much Ash. Architecture is rock and roll! :-)
Which do you think you'll go for? And also, I have a few more up to date videos on this topic!
This is the best comparative synopsis o of Supernote vs. Remarkable. The detailed comparison video that you did is also outstanding. Great Job!!
Thanks so much! Very glad to help! Which one are going with?
@@KitBetts-Masters I have chosen to go with the Supernote for my particulars use. Thanks again.
Wow the ‘find’ function is really good to know
Really helpful! Explained differences clearly and who would like each device depending on needs and preferences. Thanks.
Thanks so much! I'm really trying to focus on use rather than specs, and be really highly evaluative in these reviews, so I appreciate the comment!
Nice comparison and reviews. Thanks for the perspective. It's most appreciated.
You'll mange that easily, just make a pdf and ship it in via the web app!
It will be perfect for your book!
Having watched many of your, and others' videos, this was the one that decided me on the Remarkable. Thank you.
I need an eink notebook to Write; to practice writing, penmanship, caligraphy, and learning foreign languages.
Wish you joy of it. Will you skip back and let me know how you find it and if it lives up to expectations please?
Thankyou.
Thanks so much, it is great to hear from you!
fantastic review!
Great video! Did you get yours shipped from France or the US? I'm concerned about the import taxes. What do you think?
I use Remarkable 1 for over 4 years now. Great device. It helped me throughout university. So i can say after several years that, It converts writing to text now too, it has updates with different pafe layouts and fonts, it sends emails and sign documents.
I like the idea when I need to fill a document and send it off. I simply download file to reMarkable fill it in and sign then send it from device whenever i want. I've never heard of Supernote before, but by listening you now it does same thing. But In my opinion both devices has maybe 95% same features :) whoever owns Remarkable 1 or 2 i only can say Great Choice.
Hiya, yeah they are both definitely very focused e-ink tablets. Thanks for sharing your experience!
One main reason I looked in to an electronic notebook was because sometimes I will just avoid taking notes as I hate paper waste, and I also don’t have room to have several folders of paper notes at home 😆
I have my phone for my calendar and emails so it’s great the Rm2 is just really simple and basically just a notebook so I’m not getting distracted.
I think both are really great devices! I would have both if I could afford to 🙂
Haha, yeah, they are both great!
Just like 3 working days. It was really swift. 🙂🦍
What a helpful video! This was one of several that persuaded me that Supernote was the right option for ME!
Great stuff, let me know how you enjoy using it.
@@KitBetts-Masters - so far, so very good. Great response from family members to receiving hand written emails. (Though setting up Gmail was more time consuming than I thought it would be). Loving the use of layers, so am about to draw my own template (using a ruler!) for flight plans.
@@NickStaib awesome, the handwritten emails could really take off I think, nice to "pen" notes to each other!
The hair is only the beginning.
@@KitBetts-Masters Well, maybe that's your deep desire ; to be a hair model.
Good Luck.
Thanks for the video. It really helped me in choosing which one I want to try out
Thanks so much for your video.
And let me know what you finally decide!
Or my searching is poor 🤣
Thanks again!
@@rebeccateebaywebb thanks. That is awful. I think they'll need to backtrack pretty soon on that.
I think that's what many will be doing in the future. Thanks again for your great videos ensuring that we make wise purchases!
Thank you .. i have the RM2 now i am about to purchase the Supernote..
Excellent choice, please do stop back and let me know how you find it compares!
Great review. You helped me make up my mind. I was torn between both.
Hello and thank you for this video… may I ask which one is better in pdf reviewing (I specifically will use it to review academic writings and study on books)
Edit 1, after 3 days: the look of the remarkable is astonishing.
If you look, as the video said, for more than "paper and pencil" it will not work for you
I will return the device and opt for an a5x (still, I'm a little worried about the UI and writing speed of the Ratta device).
Great video. Exactly what I needed to make my decision. Thank you for taking the time!
Which one you going with bud? Let me know how you get on with it afterwards!
Great review without being too technical…. Going for the Supernote based on this review!
Thanks so much, that's definitely what I'm going for. Hopefully my reviews give the impression of what it's like to use these devices! Cheers!
Fantastic non-biased reviews.Thanks for sharing.

Yo tengo el supernote, y probe el Remarkable. El supernote A5x es por muchisimo mejor equipo que el Remarkable 2. Solo el modo “digest” ya es un tremendo punto.
Si, gracias! El "digest" e el "ToC" es beuno! 😂🦍
Excellent objective assessment. Has helped me make my decision between the two products. Thank you!
Brilliant! Glad to help, which are you going for?
To me, the Remarkable has a slight edge in terms of the writing surface and pen. The SN feels like one is writing on a credit card. On the other hand, the SN has a brighter screen and is lighter. So I’m torn, wondering if we may see a new version of either one coming out this year. For the SN, I’d like to get a pen that does not have the spring action of the HOM pen. Suggestions? Thx!!!
This was a huge help. You were a huge help. Thank you!

Thanks, makes me wonder if I should move from Remarkable2 to Supernote.
The supernote doesn't support all android apps, you might want to look at boox devices for that. Both of these will let you annotate on pdfs though.
I've got a folio from Amazon for the rm2 and it seems fine. No pen loop though. But I didn't buy a remarkable marker.
Is there a color ink feature for either device? I'm looking to replace my multiple moleskin notebooks and just ordered a Remarkable 2. Now I'm wondering if I should try Super note and compare.
No, there are a few colour eink tablets out there now, but not from these two brands. Check out my latest buying guide.
Excellent comparison to understand both devices.

Great summary. I just needed it. Thank you for helping me make my decision-supernote for me 😊
Thanks, very glad to help. I have a new detailed comparison including the boox note air 2 out now if you want more!
Brilliant clear review. Where can I buy Supernote in UK?
Supernote.com. I'm pretty sure they deliver worldwide.
This was so helpful! Thank you!
GREAT Information.... I want them on ONE!!!
Buy buy buy! 🦍😀
What if I want both sketching and writing? I'm a design engineer and I sketch a lot and I also take heaps on notes? Which one would you recommend?
The Sketching you are speaking of is different than the one he is speaking, at least is what I understand, I'm not an engineer, but I do a lot of engineering by myself, well, at least I make and design things, and the supernote works really well for sketching for engineering, for me, the remarkable only works well if you are into art and things like that, for the rest, the supernote is just better. Also in the roadmap of the supernote they have the intention of adding more drawing related options for 2022
@@Motion_0112 thanks for your reply. That's exactly what I wanted to know.
@@KitBetts-Masters sure will. Thank you for your reply.
