Why The Detroit Lions Will Win 12 Games... [2023 Lions Season Prediction] 🦁🔥⚡

  • In this video, I break down the 2023 Detroit Lions schedule and why I predict the team to go 12-5 on the season. This is a Detroit Lions NFL schedule breakdown/prediction video, where I go through each Lions game for 20-30 seconds and talk about how I think it'll go.
They have Pro Bowl QB Jared Goff, dynamic RBs David Montgomery (formerly on the Bears) and Jahmyr Gibbs, plus an excellent offensive line and weapons like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta. The Lions' offense should put up plenty of points, while their defense will be a much improved unit with guys like Aidan Hutchinson, James Houston (The Problem), Kerby Joseph, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and Jack Campbell.
The 2022 Detroit Lions struggled in some areas, but I think they'll improve a lot this year. They are the favorites to win the NFC North, and rightfully so. The Detroit Lions will be in the playoffs this year if my predictions are correct.

@@choosecarefully408I mean if you are talking about the Lions, at this point the Lions do have a good defense now. Yes, it was terrible last year, but almost the entire defense was rebuilt. We have an entirely revamped secondary made out of proven players, a new starter at LB, and our pass rush should be a lot better after Hutchinson and Houston have gotten more experience.

Pretty good assessment IMO....I hope they can get a win against either the Chiefs or the Seahawks to start the season. I can see them losing 2 of the 6 games against in division rivals....at the end of the day, 11 or 12 wins seems about right this year...and if there are no injuries and they get the wins they should get, we could see as many as 13. Im anxious more than ever, even in 91 rallying for Utley, I didnt feel we had this much depth! I do say this could be the best record lions ever had, its only a hard schedule if you dont think you can win, I seriously believe we match well with every team in the league! I think 12-5 is doable. Lots of things have to go the Lions’ way to get to 12 wins, but that’s true for any team in the NFL. We should win the division. We should sweep the division, going 6-0. However, because the NFL is the NFL I can see the Lions losing one or even two divisional road games. I think 12 wins in the ceiling this year. I’ll be very pleasantly surprised if we win 13 or more games.

I think Cambell has them running through walls in the opener after all off-season pumping them up for it. I think Detroit beats Kansas even if it's a 1 point extra point to win walkout. But since it's Detroit, my guess is they'll turn around and lose one they should win. I'm thinking 10-11 wins a Division Title and winning 1 playoff game. Barely losing the second playoff game. Better yet next season.

The games we could lose are the Chargers, one against the Bears, and the proverbial let down game against either Denver, NO, or TB. Chiefs and Ravens will be tough as well. Dallas game should be fun. The first loss will be San Diego, then the Panthers. After that, maybe the Minnesota game after Dallas.
They will beat Dallas, but they will need some serious motivation to take the Vikings twice.
Cousins isn't as bad as you think, and they do have a convincing running back.

@@jimnfl7134 Yeah, isn't it amazing how people counter shallow, biased one-D takes with the same? They got rid of Swift & Williams because they didn't follow 'The System' (shades of 'The Claw' from Toy Story).
But they _produced!_ & if you have a problem with production, then who is the problem here? I'm not *assuming,* but this POV forced the Lions to spend $ & a pick getting replacements to fix something I'm not convinced was broken. If that o-line is good & the RB could produce despite working against it, what's easier? Adjusting the o-line or whiffing on JSN, Nolan Smith, an élite edge rusher or something else you need to replace the RB?
& &because& the RBs produced, how much of an upgrade _are_ their replacements? If it's incremental, then this wasn't worth it. To me, the coaches have to work with what they have, that's Their Responsibility, not that of the players. The Lions had to change out their RB room, fire their d-line coach to make things fit Their Systems, then changed out much of their secondary _after_ they only gave up 18.2 PPG after week 7 when they fired the d-line coach. So did they just decide to switch everything mid-season, not communicate this to the players then have to fire & trade all those who couldn't read their minds?
It feels like they're making this about Their Systems, which while that *can work,* it also feels like they're messing it up by trying to impose it with strong-arm tactics. That creates an atmosphere that not everyone likes. It'll be interesting to see if they can sustain the pressure of it all throughout the season.

Most teams will beat teams they shouldn't not all but some ,
The Lions are much better and running qb's gave us issues last year this year thing's will be much different but to many so called Lions are afraid of K.C. SB Champs so what it's week 1 won't be a shootout it will be 24 to 21 Detroit both teams struggle to score just because both defenses are much better.
Lastly people act like because it's the Champs it has to be a loss each season week 1 it's upsets or close to it like in 21 when the Bills loss week 1 to the Steelers or last year when the Lions nearly beat the Eagles losing 38 to 35.
And it's many more i could name. And Seahawks both teams are better than last year I will bet money the Lions are 2 and 0 come week 3.
