I've had a chance to tour the Boeing factory and you don't get very close to the planes during the tour, but it's still fascinating to do. This was a much more in depth tour and very enjoyable to watch. If you stay at the hotel just adjacent to the future of flight center it makes a perfect weekend destination and an easy drive from SEA-TAC.
777 in my opinion the most beautiful aircraft ever built
Awesome tour awesome aircraft.
Now this is the kind of factory I'd like to visit
Fascinating . I have been a big fan of Boeing Since the B-17 , B-52 being my favorite , but the commercial end is also great and nothing can beat the 747 . It was originally designed for military cargo , but the Air Force past on it in favor of the Lockheed C-141 Starlifter . Thanks for posting and God Bless .
i love Boeing :) amazing factory!
Amazing!
Oh boy oh boy!!! Just love it.....
I've flown on many 777s by now, but the very first one I flew had Rolls Royce engines. If you fly an airline with 3-3-3 layout, the 777 is very comfortable; with 3-4-3 layout, not so much.
Miss the place. Been there in 2015. Had an acceptance flight on a 787-9 aircraft.
magnífico .
Awesome Company - Boeing. Must buy some BA stock for long-term.
Great investment XD
3:22 so odd to see a gshock being paired with a suit
zephanish describes allot about the man... He prefer to go with comfort, safety and quality..
Samjap August In a factory environment the g shock would be my first option as well, it can take knocks bangs and alot more
4 sure...the g-shock crew yeah,,,lol
I went here once
can anyone be allowed to observe that factory tour?
Ok from 2:20 to 4:00 but a video dedicated only to the construction of the 777 cockpit I can't find on y.t.
Can anyone help me?
mmmm GE 90-115B'S!!
777
Why are boeing flighdecks still brown? It looks oldish
Agreed
I prefer grey/blue mix like in Airbus planes.
+Stefan T. The 747-8 brown cockpit color is the only brown cockpit I accept. But in my opinion I choose the 747-8s like sliver cockpit on some if them.
It's a trademark. Do you know any other commercial aircraft that are NOT grey?
Not all Boeing flight decks are brown. The 737NG aircraft have a dark greyish flight deck.
Where is the Factory??
Outside of Seattle Washington, in Renton.
ATOMIK _ ZARK - OfficialChannel This factory, for widebodies, is north of Seattle in Everett. The 737 is assembled at the Renton airport, southeast of Seattle.
777 are assembled in seattle??
around seattle yes
This is Everett, Washington
No winglets?
The B777 doesn't have winglets.
Hmm... I thought winglets are supposed to be a good way to get more mpg from a plane.
*****
Well, they're apparently called "raked winglets". The 777 , 787 and 747-8 has them. They're not vertical, and also create additional lift because of their shape. Therefore they're more aerodynamically efficient. The 737MAX doesn't use them because that would increase the wing span too much for an aircraft of its size. That's at least what I can tell from a short research, now I learned something too, haha.
Boeing and Airbus have different philosophies regarding wingtip devices. Boeing feels that for long-range widebody aircraft, raked wingtips are the most efficient, while smaller and shorter-ranged aircraft such as the 737 would suffice with vertical winglets. Airbus obviously feels winglets are better, even for long-range planes, as they have winglets on the 340, wingtip fences on the 380 and blended winglets on the 350.
***** They don't have the same philosophy when it comes to long-range widebodies. Airbus still prefer winglets over Boeing's raked wingtips.
YOU TOOK MY FRIEND KEN >:(
wouldnt make more sence to buy used 777 for cargo
+Ajinkya Pathania thank you i was just thinking fedex made good with used dc10 and md11.
+Ajinkya Pathania some airlines still use the md 11 as a passenger airliner. There are no laws against it
peeps, religious anybody know better this rewxlt . .
