11:09 this challenge definitely have so much potential to see a lot of fun hypothetical builds, but it would be even more of a proper competition if there is a set goal in mind like say a production chase truck (like Larry Chen's recent Toyota Tundra build) or a car modded for overlanding. Not only it gives fun scenarios for challenges but also can give viewers ideas on what kind of mods or where one can look for components if the video inspires people to create their own builds.
I like how this maybe the series with the smallest budget but still packs the same amount of entertainment as all the other series. Talent speaks man. Keep it up guys.
I think this was the most fun to watch of your car shopping contest. I really like all the builds. The one James chose has the most possibilities. If you put two seats in the back Subaru Brat style you could film stuff on the road so easy plus it turns it into a 6 passenger car. Lifted with aftermarket horsepower boost (better turbo, injectors, boost controller, air & oil intercoolers, exhaust, higher output alternator) meaty tires, crazy lights, tent, awning, gear box, bike rack, beefy front/rear, bumper, winch front & rear, accessory inverter to power TV, DVD, sound, minifridge, computer, camera battery recharge, camp chairs. Then it is ready for adventure filming.
@@lucaskelly4590 Feel that out of the 100 plus cars ive heavily considered on a cheaper budget as a simple family car with slight tuning potential for multiple future endeavors and Ive yet to find any of them in my price range and i'm not even looking for something like evo's or rx7's. I just want a simple full size hot hatch with 5 seats 2 doors and actual usable hatch space without folding the back seats. But also having that as a option without it looking like some dumbass overbloated crossover something like a toyota starlet kp61. And have yet to find anything that wasn't at least over a 3 to 4 grand budget for a starter and this was in the last 3 years before the economy took a dump. Makes me really disheartened as if i was born 5 or 10 years earlier this wouldn't be a issue as i hate 90 percent of new cars in general. Even though i don't hate people driving them like some assholes but its just not for me i hate all the fake plastic coverings vents and whatever else. Sure i get stuff like rear view cameras and all that but if the engine and transmission are anemic and shifts extremely early or late if its a autobox then i just don't see the point as it would just make me hate driving the damn thing.

@@quadzilla7572 is advise not asking legit questions on RUclips. It’s mainly because upgraded bearings and beefier components that are meant to take the extra psi on the internals. From forced induction. When you boost an engine you are adding extra pressure the parts were never designed to experience, most cars have the bearings, connecting rods or other weak links that all fail in different ways depending how ur pushing the car.

5:36 did an engine swap with my dad on his 07 impreza wrx, the usdm ej255 had ring land failure in one of the cylinders and we swapped in a jdm ej20x and almost everything is interchangeable, so atleast for these tw ej's, they are like legos

Instead of doing what everyone assumed he would do (off road build), he used big brain and thought of something he could use nearly every day. I think Nolan definitely deserved the win. Thankfully he still won after the tie.
