A while back when you shared some of your personal happenings in your life, one of the things that I got from that video was that you were just going to slow things down a bit and take life and yourself, a little less seriously. I don't know if this will mean anything to you Heidi but I've noticed a lot more "chill" vibe with you and your vlogs since then. You seem to be so much more at ease and certainly, a lot happier. It's nice and useful to explore new places! Oriental was named after the sailing steamer 'Oriental'- a Federal transport ship in the Civil War. A year after being launched, she ran aground in May 1862, when she was wrecked 33 miles north of Cape Hatteras. And thus, the town was named Oriental. The town is small, but everyone is very friendly. Glad you got there! 🫡

Just thought about this, if you have never read “The Old Man and the Boy” by Robert Ruark, you have to do so. It takes place in NC during the depression and is about a boy coming of age being with his Grand Father. I have read it a bunch of times and is my all time favorite book.

(forgive me if you already know this), but if you know that you are going to want a slow motion edit/part in your video, set your video recording settings to 120 FPS, and you won’t get that choppiness when you slow it down. 👍🏻🙂

That looks like a nice little town. I had some good size crabs 2 Thursdays ago we got 6 bushels with a lot of other seafood for a get together.

Ever think about using dry aged bunker fish as crab bait , makes it more oily and harder for them to eat and last longer in water ( just theory)
