Been saying HS Kim would be a tremendous get. Speed, defense, had some power, positional versatility. Athleticism. Kim, Volpe, Bellinger, Chisholm, AND Dominguez LIGHTING UP THE BASEPATHS is a look that people would be BEYOND AMPED about.
Too bad he can’t stay off the DL. He’s got a true arm at SS! Better arm than Volpe’s I’ll tell that. I’ve been at Yankee spring training the last three years and he’s got got smokin arm at short. His hitting at the ML level is bad.
I love that Kim vs Torres offensive breakdown, it's similar to what I was selling a friend on when we thought we could get Tucker. That at the plate Soto is the better player, but everywhere else you would prefer Tucker. I think Kim is definitely the better overall player than Torres
Guys btw, not sure how u haven’t seen this heyman tweet yet but fried is only getting 22 the first 2 seasons to offset some money to open up a little more for payroll, only 5 million but that’s still a good reliever
People are talking about Ha-Seong Kim, but there is another Kim, Hye-Seong Kim out there, younger 25, and probably a better hitter for average with excellent defense at 2B. And it wouldn't cost as much to sign him. They are expecting 3 years $24M
What have we learned about a Cashman? He’s definitely pumping guys he has no intention of relying on because he doesn’t want to bid his own costs up. Love the Kim signing idea, I also wouldn’t abandon Profar if he still has any IF utility. Trades - Donovan BLowe, Jung - lots of possibilities still on the board
That was the best argument that you both made on any player (in my opinion). I was lukewarm on Kim at best before but after listening to your arguments on the stats, you have convinced me that he is a good candidate. Especially the comparison to Gleyber and if he is in a slump that you have very little value with him. But with Kim, you will still get positive value.
Okay so I was interested in this player before I watch this video but you guys just do an outstanding job with research I'm completely sold I want this guy let's get them it's a bargain thanks so much for putting this video together guys you guys killed it every time
You guys really got me thinking about Profar …..the more you look at it the more it does make sense ……also it does give even more flexibility……ok he not elite but hey it works
I feel like if we get Profar we need to either stick him at 1st or back to 2nd. But his bat would play perfect here, so honestly that’d still be my plan A if he’s for it
I think swinging a Donovan trade would be the ideal move since he has a low salary. Then getting a homerun hitting firstbaseman (either Walker or even Alonso) for about 25 mill a year. Having a lineup of: Donovan Judge Bellinger Walker or Alonso Wells Stanton Jazz Volpe Dominguez Probably wont happen but lineup would be better than last year if it did happen hahaha
As the roster stands today, the starting second baseman is Jazz Chisholm and the starting third baseman is Oswaldo Cabrera. We need a third baseman, not a second baseman.
What was wrong with the guy they traded with Miami for. Wasn't he a 40 sb guy in Miami. That would be nice to have Chisholm volleyball, Dominguez and him all in a row.
You cut to that chase. I'm perfectly comfortable with sticking to.a chase that means we no longer consistently get killed because Gleyber doesn't have his head in the game, Gleyber isn't hustling, Gleyber making costly errors. He's a decent hitter, at best. I wouldn't care if he was a great hitter. He just kills us always. Fans that want him back have very short memories I guess, or they're gluttony for punishment.
Because you need to find a team that, under the right conditions, would take on a good portion of his salary. It doesn't make sense to DFA him. So if you can't trade him, he becomes a very expensive garbage time pitcher.
now that our OF is set my preference would be go get a 3B with pop...the lineup should be good enough to carry Rice at 1B..if and its an IF he duplicated last year with 450 at bats he would hit 21 hrs with 75 RBI;s....this cares me because they would shove DJL in there at the slightest slump...
@@kurtihavebestdogever6293 I don’t care as much about those numbers as what you actually see on the field. The stats will include one game in particular where he had 3 home runs. Then if you watch how Ben plays after he quite often looks lost at the plate. Using your eyes as a judge Ben Rice doesn’t look ready to handle MLB pitching. If he was even close you would hear them talking about him getting a shit at first.
Ya Kim could play second or third as well as Jazz and the utility players so it would be nice. They can have him leadoff as well.Donovan would be awesome as well.
id trade for or sign a 1B i like the Yandy Diaz trade idea, or sign christian walker for like 3 years.. ha seong kim is a great idea for 2B but i think they r loading up for a Ryan McMahon run next offseason. not a vladdy run. id try to get a extension with Devin Williams and get Cody Bellinger to not take the opt out and stay for the 2 years
@@bxbigshot1809 Why do people keep saying he won't? Vladdy walked that comment back. Look it up. He's a professional baseball player. It's his job. Of course he would play for us or whoever pays him the most. It probably will be the Mets since they seem to be parting ways with Alonso, leaving room for VG jr in 2026.
This is like saying "kick me in the balls!!!" Why on earth would you want a low effort player who is perhaps the worst defensive infielder in baseball? What do you like? Is it the times he ends rallies by getting picked off? The runs the opponents get off his errors? Him jogging halfway to first then heading to the dugout? Seriously. I keep seeing people who want Gleyber back. Someone needs to explain this, because right now, I think you all just ate some bad clams and are not in your right mind.
What market are you looking at? Is it in an alternate universe where lack of hustle, not keeping your head in the game and being the worst defensive second baseman in the league are all good things?
guys this is fantasy. There is nothing out there that the Yankees are trying to get Donavan. I also have not heard anything that the Cardinals are looking to trade him.
So you think that rather than moving Jazz to second, they should bring back.the lowest effort player the Yankees have had in years? Do you just really love horrible defense and having players get picked off because they stop paying attention? If they brought Gleyber back, I would be joining the idiots who say Hal doesn't care about winning. Because signing Gleyber would be as clear a sign as there is that ownership stopped caring.
Sounds great 👍
Just trade Peraza. Stop wasting his career.
Too bad he can’t stay off the DL. He’s got a true arm at SS! Better arm than Volpe’s I’ll tell that. I’ve been at Yankee spring training the last three years and he’s got got smokin arm at short. His hitting at the ML level is bad.
Give him a chance
Seriously. Letting him rot.
Get rid of weak arm volpe, put peraza at short
Yankees don't play there latin players
Donovan would be a heck of a pick up but I doubt the Cards would trade him.
Get Brandon Donovan Jesus Christ, such a good bat to compliment bellinger. Both guys are high contact highly versatile position players.
Donovan is not old enough
I love that Kim vs Torres offensive breakdown, it's similar to what I was selling a friend on when we thought we could get Tucker. That at the plate Soto is the better player, but everywhere else you would prefer Tucker. I think Kim is definitely the better overall player than Torres
Cabrera & Perazza? How about, no! I hate everything about BOTH of those ideas
Guys btw, not sure how u haven’t seen this heyman tweet yet but fried is only getting 22 the first 2 seasons to offset some money to open up a little more for payroll, only 5 million but that’s still a good reliever
You’ve talked me into it - I like Kim! Or Lowe or Brendan Donavan - then do the Christian Walker or Carlos Santana option at first .
In regards to positional flexibility, Cody's dad played every position except pitcher and catcher.
People are talking about Ha-Seong Kim, but there is another Kim, Hye-Seong Kim out there, younger 25, and probably a better hitter for average with excellent defense at 2B. And it wouldn't cost as much to sign him. They are expecting 3 years $24M
I like Brandon Lowe, left handed, he’ll hit 25 hr.. I wouldn’t do Santana. He was close to falling off a cliff last year.
But are there actually rumors of Kim interest from Yankees?
Peraza and Cabrera will never be the starters. How many times does Cashman say this guy is going to start and then they trade or sign someone.
That was the best argument that you both made on any player (in my opinion). Brendan Donovan please 🙏🏾 I wouldn't mind Ha Seong-Kim either
I appreciate your content I have a question what about bringing in profar and putting him back in the infield and at second base???
Nobody’s mentioning Jeff McNeil! His left handed stick would kill it!..In the Bronx
You guys really got me thinking about Profar …..the more you look at it the more it does make sense ……also it does give even more flexibility……ok he not elite but hey it works
good options!! we like it
@@firesideyankees Totally changed my mind about Profar. 🗣️Write the article Alex!! 😆😆

Jazz
Volpe

Donovan at 2B and Rice at 1B is where I am at but I decided it wasn't going to happen, he just has to many years left for the cards to trade him
Yankees 2025 lineup prediction
1B Yandy Diaz
LF Cody Bellinger
RF Aaron Judge
2B Brandon Lowe
DH Giancarlo Stanton
3B Jazz Chislhom
SS Anthony Volpe
C Austin Wells
CF Jasson Dominguez
As the roster stands today, the starting second baseman is Jazz Chisholm and the starting third baseman is Oswaldo Cabrera. We need a third baseman, not a second baseman.
Don't we also have Berti for another year?
Berti was non-tendered by the Yankees and is now a free agent.
No Torres on this team Kim is very good player all around defensively base running
How do you like the Golden Boy at SS has regressed in 3 years.
What was wrong with the guy they traded with Miami for. Wasn't he a 40 sb guy in Miami. That would be nice to have Chisholm volleyball, Dominguez and him all in a row.
Please keep Peraza away from Yankee stadium
This was a fun video and all, but let's cut to the chase: Gleyber on a 2 year contract (with third year option) to play 3d base.

Waldo/peraza/vivas is not a scary backup plan. Be less dramatic. It's 2b. Play good defense. You don't need a 20+ HR all star at every position
Love Santana but rather get moncada for 3rd and jazz at 2nd full time
Peraza is a must better fielder than Volpe they never gave Peraza
Im just here trying to understand why keep strowman if you aren't going to use strowman

A big no to Rice and him the starting first baseman to open the season. Outside of a couple games he doesn’t look like he can handle MLB pitching.

i would not want you two to plan my team

I would get Iglesias from the Mets and get Santander and left field
Santander's career obp is barely better than Verdugo's last year number. No thanks

Utility infielder at best
Sign Bregman. keep 1st open to sign Vlad Jr next year
