Have a look at the latest rebel from Honda. What do I think of the looks and DCT? For that you need to watch!
Priced between £9,000-£10,000 depending on DCT or manual. Is this bike worth the money? Is the DCT worth an extra £1,000? I just don’t know 🤔

With such a low seat height you've loads of room to play with adjust g seat height and comfort to suit .You can fit some highway pegs in your desired position to also get in a preferred position .There's also bar risers etc to assist height and pull back just like Hd options .Personally I think it's a well priced blank canvas .I think it ticks a lot of boxes and it's going to be a real success .

The only thing I didn’t like was the pegs position so yeah that make sense. Lowering the pegs or increasing the seat height would make this much better. It’s a great price compared to all the HD’s.

At ‘5“11 1/2 250lbs and the riding position was a bit cramped until I swapped out the seat for a Mustang Solo seat that made me sit taller on the bike. Overall, the bike takes a while to get used to. Also, I found that I can change gears (override) while in automatic mode by using the paddle shifters. I personally love this bike, especially after a few days of long rides.

I really love the looks of it. The DCT on the bike I was on just didn’t seem to be that smooth. Not a patch on the Goldwing or the Africa twin.

@@GillyBikes Once I adjusted the rear shocks a few clicks up according to my weight, the ride got a whole lot smoother, and it’s so easy to do. 👍

I bought a DCT one in May and I've just bought the T-Rex forward pegs kit but not fitted them yet. Fingers crossed. I also fitted a BatWing myself and found that I had more wind buffeting with it than the original naked bike. I've since fashioned my own smaller screen out of polycarb and the buffeting is totally sorted :) By the way you can manually change gear even in automatic mode which is nice for the twisties and when overtaking :)

The forward pegs would transform that bike. It’s such a good looking bike but where the pegs are just didn’t suit me. Let me know how it all feels when you have put the new parts on 👍

A Great Review! I do Love this Honda Rebel 1100. I am 6' tall and had some problem with my seating! A little cramped! Thanks for your review as I look forward to viewing more. ! RideWithPeace.

A Memphis Shades Batwing took care of the wind for me. It’s almost like being in a wind free pocket! Also, they do make forward controls for the Honda Rebel 1100 DCT. 👍

The Goldwing has a six axis EMU like the Africa twin so much more data input into the " brain " of the DCT so it does not try to change gear mid corner like the Rebel and is more sensitive to what the rider inputs with the throttle and brakes and lean angles. The Rebel is built to a price and the extra sensors wiring and EMU would cost a couple of thousand so they hold the speed down and make it a comfortable cruiser for relaxed riding. If you want the speed and longer range the NT1100 is the option unless you are really well off and can spend another 16 to 18 thousand on a Gold Wing. I tried to sit on a NT1100 but am too short and the Goldwing is far too heavy for my old bones but like the three bears the Rebel is just right and within budget so does me fine. The only real gripe is the cost of servicing as with all bikes it is expensive so roll on out of warranty, being an ex mechanic means I can do it myself for a fraction of Honda's price.

      @GillyBikes  2 года назад

I really love the look of the Rebel and I know it’s unfair to compare it to the Goldwing but that is the only other DCT I’ve ridden. They are good value but if they were a few thousand more and the DCT was as good as the Goldwing I’m sure they would sell more.

In the US, it comes with hard, lockable saddle bags.

That would be useful over here. I’m sure we could pay extra for them.

No. But buy a rebel 1100! I did and love it. Had ninja 400 and 650. But wanted to try a cruiser. This is more sport cruiser/ heavy ass naked bike lol

I'm 5' 5" and the bike is ideal for me both feet flat on the floor the bike does not feel heavy as the weight is low down so a very good bike for short riders.

6 ft 2in and very leggy and it's was putting my knees at an acute angle, I just got peg extenders and it should do the trick. My lazy ass just needs to install it. Also got a Corbin seat and that also helped a bit but the peg extenders are the only was I can see fixing the seating positions

I’m sure you know now ? But just to say early in your video regarding the buttons.
Gear select + & - you can also use them in the automatic mode. Not just in the manual mode..
Just ordered this bike. Have had the dct. Africa twin for two years. In fact just spent over a grand on it to prepare for off road.
Only thing is I’m probably less capable..
Anyway I saw this bike and well learning it also had the dct box, traded it…
Use to alway have sports bikes.
Now I’ve got foot drop and can’t change gears..
    Hence going for the AT…
Softer the sports bike and my ankle not working. I went to a cruiser, but still struggled with the gear changes. ( up not Down )
So this bike I thought will be great for me…
29 inch leg, so after a proper ride I’ll know how my legs feel on it..
    Great video. 👍

I’m a big fan of the DCT. The Goldwing, Africa twin and the Nc750. They are so easy to ride. Out of all of them though the Rebel looks the best (my opinion of course)
