    I think it's cool whenever capoeira is shared with more people :)
    Just a few things for that if you ever do use these in a roda to watch for.
    Meia lua da frente
    - Throw your hips, use your arms
    -Queixada
    Don't ever give your back to a capoeirista unless you want a vingativa, step small with front leg , step slightly back across then use hips and shoulder rotation to throw up and then snap the kick at the apex.
    Armada
    -Keep your arms up unless you want a meia lua front at your head mid turn, step proportionately to your own size, twist your shoulders first. Always keep eye on your partner, and again up then snap back down at apex.
    Bencao - (Blessing ;) The kick you did was more like a ponteira
    Use hips as much as you can and your arms to push your leg as far possible and arm at the chest, chamber the kick up into your gut then push out.
    Always remember to finish in a strong base
    Keep it up man ! Axe :)

      He is NOT teaching capoeira. He is simply demonstrating the MOVEMENT.

    • @ktugaoen
      @ktugaoen 7 лет назад +5

      I agree capoeira ain't that easy to just demonstrate like you have to develop the sense of the technique and movement. I understand if people want to use movement only to incorporate on there discipline what ever it is its good for capoeira just only sometimes people get the wrong impression of it if you are not showing it with proper foundations and technique.

    I liked the vid... there are many things to fix tough.. once we had a few beginners in our capoeira class that had been dancing ballet for years, and they looked like you did in this vid... good stretch with your legs, good balance and high kicks, but no flow no real understanding to protect yourself and no good ginga of course. but don¨t quit practice, just find a teacher that can teach you and point out your faults, and you can evolve, cheers

    • @sabakimsg
      @sabakimsg 7 лет назад +3

      Evolve to what? I don't think his goal is to be a Capoeirista. I think he just wants to include a few capoeira moves into his movement workouts. What he is doing works well enough for him he doesn't need to change a thing.

    Funny how different the Capoeira front kick is from Karate Mae Geri. In Karate it's a snap kick with the point of the foot, while in capoeira it seems to hang a bit more in there and with the foot facing up.

    great flexibility, but hands aren't up high enough. Losing power with hands too low and esquiva(dodge) precedes quexiada. And Bencao is a pushing kick that is used to kick to solar plexus. You did ponteira(front snap kick). But you have great flexibility and your body is good for capoeira

I've trained in kickboxing and Muay thai and I can say I'm better than average but Im not a fighter or a pro so I can show technique from experience . This guy thinks because you may have some moves , that makes you an expert in fitness. Keep practicing dude.
