The thing that I love about videos like this is when I watch them I am motivated to eat the best that I can, making the food that is usually around salad taste really good since I am watching an in shape person working out making it more fun to eat the salad. I then see if I have as much definition as he does if not, then I know that I need to start cutting down on what's not good that I am eating, if I do have as much definition, I continue to watch the video.
Rob is my idol. his work ethic and desire is incredible. Videos like this are what keeps me inspired and helps me with my own goals. Thank you rob for inspiring me and many others!
keep up with the videos. i watch these more than the body builder work out videos. im working so hard to drop body fat but stay strong. im dieting and lifting. im 6 1, 215 and playing tennis on my college tennis team. my goal is to become as strong as i can but stay under 215 and your videos are really helping me reach my goal.
I love his videos and find that he is pretty straight forward in his approach to teaching. You can look around youtube at a lot of other guys who really just want to be looked at. He kind of looks like a good looking version of Gordon Ramsey, the chef.
You're 100% correct. People don't know how quickly you can get results if you actually push yourself. I look 100x better than I did just 5-6 months ago, that's all it takes, a little effort.
Wow... I very know this .. .this is the part of workouts that are really tough. I know because I have done it. Thank you mate for doing this and showing it to everyone.
Rob is fully natural because you see his physical become smaller or bigger during different month + he always keep his calm, usually people using steroid have a short temper eventhough in front of the camera
Yes and if you watch his other videos, he enters a contest where he comes like 5th and the athletes that beat him test positive for some kind of growth hormone variant. Yet they still go home with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place intact.
The seated cable row forces you to pull the handle towards the lower part of your sternum where as this one forces you to pull the rope towards the upper part of your abdominal section therefore engaging some of your rear deltoids in the exercise.
To all these people saying he is on the gear wake up to yourself this is totally accomplishable with hard training and good diet or saying he does stuff wrong, really get your head out of your arse he is not one of the top fitness models for no reason. Learn how to count Marcos and train your arse off and you may understand until then just watch and learn from the pros. @Rob you do some of the best vids getting around thanks
Rob Riches is my inspiration and I think the best male fitness model around. He would have won this comp if he thinned out his abs (less depth from front to back) and more of a 'V' side cut down to his waistline. But good luck on the comp coming up and i will be cheering for ya Rob!
Rob....the condition you had in this video, I honestly think will get you first place in any or most competitions you enter. The reason being is because you are not overly cut, and you look full (maybe water helping you).
If you are an Hectomorph, you don't really need to use clen, all u need is to avoid sugars for the most most, it works perfect for me. I got a 6 pack and i don't even train my abs. :)
i had the same problem a while back. i think it is due to bad form. i used to hunch my back and shoulders over the bar when doing push-downs and i used to always feel it in my traps and slightly in rear delts. so now i try to keep my back as straight as possible and i don't seem to have that problem anymore. so give it a try and hopefully it helps you out bro!
You'll find that once you incorporate a work out routine, you'll have time. I was in the Navy for 8 years and always had shit to do. I went to the gym though, and I figured out how to manage my time. Just keep at it, the routine is more important then any one work out.
thats an industrial standard decline ab bench. i've got a simple one at home which cost me under £20 ($35). its less sturdy than the one in this video but that means im engaging my core more. so its a plus.
His body isnt only quite mass but also ripped too. I know it needs a lot of right work and right diet to make this body so i hope ill became close to this body one day. Anyway keep it up dude
thanks. im looking for one that has the bar in the middle to hold on to for the leg raises. so far the only one i found were expensive ones ranging aroun 200$
Whenever I feel like commenting on somebody's form I always remind myself: it's not about the form (well it is but) it's about the mind-muscle connection
Hi I´m 16 years old, 17 in two months. I started on a diet and started to cut a week ago, I wasn't overweight I was exercising 6-8 times a week and I did'nt eat junk food. I am 186cm tall and I was weighing 87kg. I did some tests on the internet to know approximately how much body fat I have and all tests showed around 10-15% (I know they aren't 100% correct since its taken from averages but it´s highly possible that I lie around that area). After a week I now weight in at 84kg, I have been exercising 12 times this week. I´ve been going up 7 in the morning all days except Saturday (my rest day). On Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday I did 30min walking on a treadmill then around 40min or ab workout. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday I did 40min of high intense interval training. I´ve been having oatmeal and mixed berries for breakfast everyday except my rest day, I´ve been eating tuna salad each workout day for lunch, avocado and an egg for snack. And then I go to the gym again working out with weights. Monday and Thursday I did chest and shoulders, Tuesday and Friday I did biceps and triceps and Wednesday and Sunday I did back and legs. All these workouts took about 1.5 hour to 2 hours. I always had a protein shake after working out with weights with some cinmamon and nutmeg to increase my metabolism and burn extra fat. For dinner at 17:00 I had chicken with vegetables every workout day. And at around 19.30 I ate a handfull of nuts (cashews and almonds). As you see I´ve been working on like crazy and the only supplement I´ve been taking is protein powder (100% whey gold standard with 88grams of protein and 3 grams of fast acting sugars per 100gram) and I´ve been going to bed at around 21.30-22.00. And I do see quite big results, my abs are starting to show I still don't have a sixpack but the V and my obliques are starting to show. So I just wondered if this is too dangerous since I eat very few carbs a day, I try to eat just enough carbs to keep my healthy but not to many. As I said before I´m only 16 soon 17 years old I dont have that much experience. If its too dangerous could you guys give me advices on how to burn fat fast but keeping it safe.
You shouldnt be cutting at your age. Why do you think the majority of high school wrestlers are manlets. Because they had to cut down hard for competitions and lacked the nutrtiients and calories for their bodies to grow during crucial years. However, 186cm is a good height.
Zebastian Cederblad Hey bud, don't stress too much on all this as you are still young, but that being said, if you want to take a legit approach to it and SLOWLY cut/shred, have good carbs in the morning, so Oats/Wholemeal bread/Sweet potatoes, have that with your egg whites and a whole egg and have greens in every meal you can.. If you choose to do low intensity cardio like Austin416 said do it in the morning on an empty stomach with a shot of coffee for 45 minutes at a fast pace walk.. Take in more carbs before workout so like 120G sweet potato and immediately post workout in your shake ( waxy maize ) then 45 minutes later 200G sweet potato and have your chicken, fish, turkey and beef for your proteins.
This gym in Toronto is amazing, I make the most out of my barbell/dumbbell gym though, got a few machines bit of a shithole, but this guy trains in luxury!
A bit of both, they will increase their strength and weight to break down their muscle fibers. As their body gets used to a certain workout they may increase the rep range or weight to push themselves so they do get much stronger, however their main focus is definition. Power-lifters and strong man focus a lot on strength, that's why their physique differs.
Hes burning out all the glygocen in his muscles and then right befor the competition, hes doing a carb loading. that means hes eating a lot of carbs and the glygocen in his muscle fills up, which makes the muscle look tighter and bigger sorry for english
yah it could do that. but then it could also help you push u to ur limit, just like having a workout buddy especially when in the same strength levels. to me, i've always been lean but comparing myself now with myself in the past is what motivates me cuz i'm no where near what i was/should be, so i will not compare to the average, only myself or someone better because I know that being consistent will get me there with a proper diet
I've come back to this video after many years cos Robs videos are very motivating and educating, and helped me reach my goal
Rob has such a down to earth approach and he is so natural and is not up himself. We like!!

You're 100% correct. People don't know how quickly you can get results if you actually push yourself. I look 100x better than I did just 5-6 months ago, that's all it takes, a little effort.

Well controlled diet, good weight workout + cardio + lifestyle = this guy!
The seated cable row forces you to pull the handle towards the lower part of your sternum where as this one forces you to pull the rope towards the upper part of your abdominal section therefore engaging some of your rear deltoids in the exercise.
Rob your definition is so amazing D:

I've always loved the saying, "Lazy people see dedication as an obsession".
Want this guy's physique. Very motivating.

try 5 days low intensity cardio and 2 days high
that worked for me
also do the macro split of around 60/20/20 for proteins/fats/carbs
thats my idea
Thanks really appreciate ur tips. But do I split like that every meal? Because right now Im eating most of my carbs for breakfast

***** I disagree, you cannot judge whether someone can cut or bulk by age 17, especially with social pressures of appearance and competition!

I've never seen anybody this ripped. Not buff, but ripped. Damn!
Hes burning out all the glygocen in his muscles and then right befor the competition, hes doing a carb loading. that means hes eating a lot of carbs and the glygocen in his muscle fills up, which makes the muscle look tighter and bigger
sorry for english
rib riches should write a book about just evrything he knows.im sure he would be very successful with it

Good luck mate!
He's about 8. It's not bad for you, as long as you get the foods that your body needs. And this guy got it all perfect at the moment. No worries! :)
yah it could do that. but then it could also help you push u to ur limit, just like having a workout buddy especially when in the same strength levels. to me, i've always been lean but comparing myself now with myself in the past is what motivates me cuz i'm no where near what i was/should be, so i will not compare to the average, only myself or someone better because I know that being consistent will get me there with a proper diet

Come back to Toronto and teach me your ways at Good Life!
Thumbs up - thank you for sharing
There are lots of different ways to flush the water. How do you go about cutting water and tightening up your skin?
