So i was practicing the Em Am B7 transitions just now...and I think I've accidentally stumbled upon the opening few chords of "Smooth Criminal"...o.O
Feathery Wings. Absolutely. That song literally saved my life. It came on pandora right as I was about to... do something I wouldn't be able to regret. That song means a lot to me.
I would love to learn how to play When You're Evil. It is my favorite.
I still really like it when someone can appreciate a good sweater
I would dearly love to learn Anniversary and possibly play it for someone if I ever get married. Also, Feathery Wings is one of my absolute favorites of yours that makes me tear up every time I hear or sing it.
I got here from "The Dirtiest Song That Ain't", where I was happy to find that in reply to one of the comments you have posted the chords. And I would very much like to learn "The Dirtiest Song That Ain't". I am having some difficulty working out how the chords change there. And an argument for doing it is - it uses the same chords, so whoever learned Ravens Land will already know the chords ; )

Well, my friend, Josh Calderon, just sent me this link knowing I play guitar. What an absolutely lovely video and so nice to see Mr. Voltaire in a casual setting. I WOULD say 'The Night' although you seem to be going in order of easyness, and you teaching us any songs is way better than none, so keep doing what'cha do.
Voltaire you are an inspiration to me. No really. When I decided to enter a short story competition, it was your music that made all the difference. I didn't have any idea what to write. They wanted entries under 1500 words, much shorter than I was used to using to make anything good. Then The Night came on and I suddenly had my story. That was a year ago and I still think that tiny piece is one of the best things I've ever written. Thank you for that.

I have a habit of trying to guess the chords in songs and I thought something was wrong with my ears because I could only make out two different chords in "Ex-Lover's Lover" and three in "Raven's Land"...
I would LOVE to see you break down "Happy Song" or maybe "The Man Upstairs", "All The Way Down" would be another great one!
Honestly though, I just can't wait until the next one, whatever it is.
These videos are pretty darn awesome. Not only are they easy to understand for people who suck at guitar (me), they're pretty humorous.
For the next song, I vote WHERE'S THE GIRL or THE CHOSEN. Two personal favorites of mine, and songs I have never seen played live.

Most of the songs off of "Almost Human" were fantastic. "The Night" is probably my favorite song, although "Feathery Wings" is also wonderful. I'd love to see how those two are played! And thank you for starting with "Ex-Lover's Lover"!

At this point Voltaire, you should probably just go through the "Devil's Bris" album first, and then move onto another album, tackle that, then rinse and repeat.

Guitar is not a dominant feature in the song, true. But if you listen, you do hear an acoustic in the background.
@Kukkii1337 oh, I still can't get the hang of it either. Course, I'm on an electric. I just meant that the instructions were easy to understand. I really am rather rubbish, but at least I get the idea pretty easily.

I listen to your music way too much. Whenever a snippet of instrumental pops into a vid I start to sing along. i.e. singing Vampire Club to the instrumental for your teaser vid for "The Lair of Voltaire", and having to pause this vid because I ended up singing ...About a Girl when it popped up in the intermission =P Hard at work mastering this and Ex Lovers Lover now.

I've been trying to tab out Headless Waltz violin parts for guitar... It's an awesome song, I wanted to do a rock cover of it with my band :D I figured out its in D Harmonic Minor and the main violin riff, but I just can't figure out what the violins are playing when Voltaire starts singing. It is very difficult XD
