It's the Monday Night War series that's done properly! This week we look at the 3.18.96 episodes of WWF Raw and WCW Nitro.
World Championship Wrestling are one week away from their Uncensored 96 pay per view and a ton of last minute booking takes place on this episode of Nitro. "The Alliance to End Hulkamania" is properly formed this week, featuring the WCW return of Zeus and another character that got Turner Broadcasting in some hot water.
Over on Raw, the WWF are just 2 weeks away from WrestleMania XII where Bret Hart will face Shawn Michaels in a 60 minute marathon match. Bret is in action this week against Tatanka. Another big match thats been hyped for months in the Undertaker's match with Big Daddy Cool Diesel. This week's episode of Raw sees Diesel opening a casket at ringside, a casket that contains a spooky surprise!
    Topics and matches include:
    00:00 - Nitro's opening match doesn't get started
02:51 - Jake "The Snake" Roberts in action
04:45 - The Mega Powers on Nitro / HBK & Bret on Raw
07:59 - Steiners vs Public Enemy / Fatu vs Goldust
11:15 - The Bootyman on Nitro
15:05 - The Road Warriors vs The Nasty Boys
    16:55 - Diesel & The Casket
    18:33 - The Main Events
24:22 - The Alliance to End Hulkamania
26:11 - The Final Billionaire Ted Skit
    28:27 - Final scores

malikail57 and it didn’t have to! I agree with Ric (a very rare occurrence) that Hennig should have been kept with the horseman. NWO needed a real faction to feud with, and with Benoit, Flair and Hennig it could have been a good team (especially if they made Mongo an auxiliary horseman and replaced him with an actual worker like Milenko who i believe is comparable to Tully within the original incarnation).

During the Savage/Hogan vs Flair/Sullivan match I saw so much yellow and green it looked like a double mint gum commercial.. Speaking of wearing yellow, I am surprised Hogan didn't have it in his contract that only he wore yellow.. I still believe that Hulk Hogan and Kevin Sullivan where separated at birth..

Very late to the Wrestling Bios game, but absolute loving this series. Amazing how small the Nitro roster seems compared to RAW at this time. Its the same 10 people in a different order every week. While WWF obviously also has heavily recurring characters, at least theres a variety of mid card matches!

    • @armandeberwein920
