      Dude same. I quit watching in 2004/2005.
      Found wrestling bios channel and binged a ton of his videos for a few weeks, Then I heard Sting was coming back in AEW.. watched his debut episode of dynamite and since then, rarely do I miss an episode.

      The Poke didn't kill WCW. They did fine in the ratings in the short run. People were making the switch at around summer that year. By then Nitro was pulling in low 3s whereas Raw was double that. You can tell how cheap and low quality WCW became too.

  • @17thN.O
    @17thN.O 6 месяцев назад +12

    I remember this whole thing and it was classic to me for a lot of reasons. I used to watch and record Nitro amd Thunder week because of school and work. I had a Bowling Class in college at this time and the professor looked like Ric Flair. So me and some of the other dudes in the University Center would "whoooo" and "style and profile" everytime he would come in there. One day asked us why would we "make that noise everytime he would show us" we told him to turn it on Monday Night Nitro at 7pm on Monday. He had never watched wreatling in his life so the episode ge watched was the episode that Flair took all his clothes off and elbow dropped the middle of the ring. So on Tuesday he cussed us all out and told us "he was nothing like that" as we fell on the ground laughing. Classic memories.

    Watching Bishoff get his ass handed to him by Flair's youngest son was one of WCW' 98's greatest moments and you call it a blunder?!
    Everyone knows that once Hogan revealed he was part of the NWO he was a heel for the rest of his time in WCW. Why do you claim he was a face when he lost the title to Flair?

    Yay for more Blunder episodes! I kind of miss the old format though.

    David Flair was just an embarrassment to have to watch, week after week... Handing him the US Championship was just a slap in the face and the very definition of cheap heat.

    Love the snarky sense of humor you show in your comments. And if there was ever a wrestling company that deserved snarky comments, it's late '90s WCW.
    Edit: If you think Flair stripping down to his undies and handcuffing himself to the top rope is hilarious (and it is), then you should see it backwards. One of the funniest things you'll ever see! (It's here on RUclips.)

    7:07 - Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes standing in the ring together the night after Starrcade 1999. They were in the championship main event of Starrcade 1984. And now Flair is having to face Eric Bischoff to become President. A lot has happened in 14 years !

    Future Blunder episodes?
    You touched on it somewhat in this video, but I'd love to see a more in depth all David Flair episode.
    Giving him any kind of push was a blunder all on it's own
