According to my RUclips Music Recap I've listened to 41,363 minutes of R.T.W in 2024! It's the best program on RUclips, you rock and keep up the good work man!
We have had 8 TITLE CHANGES (Including Vacancies) for WCW in the month of January. Thats already more than WWF will have all year in 2000 and WCW isnt even close to being done with the title changes Bret Hart to Vacant to Chris Benoit to vacant to Sid to Vacant to Nash to Sid. All i can say is congrats to Vacant on being a multi time WCW champion
One of the bigger shows in the War. I really doubt we'll ever see anything like this again, a true product of how the landscape of both wrestling and media consumption was in 2000.
It probably was, it took Kurt a while to get kayfabe, getting over, and working a gimmick. He legit thought people would be cheering him because he'd won Olympic medals and was playing a "good guy", and it took a few months for things to click for him.
As well as a huge blow to WCW, tonight was the beginning of the end for a lot of people who’d been prominent on WWF TV in 1999. D’Lo, Gangrel, Bossman, Headbangers and many others were all but done as even midcarders when the Radicalz rocked up
@@TJHistoriesNot at all, Venis has a successful heel run from June to September when he is ic champ and feuds with Rikishi then Eddie Guerrero and Chyna while hooking up with Trish. Him and the big Kish have a proper little banger at Fully Loaded
Even though Stinko Malenko and Saturn ultimately didn't do all that much, losing the Radicalz was a massive loss for WCW and big gain for the Federation. WCW at this point had no juice or buzz and was just known as a complete mess while the WWF was gearing up for Mania.
even if only 2 guys went on to win as main eventers, wcw lost 4 good matches each week losing these 4 guys. all they have is jeff breaking guitars, juventud mocking the rock and terry funk. no wonder they did reboot nitro a few months down the line.
I love how Bradshaw actually had to write out “APA”, as if the very concept needed a visual representation. Man, remember when Bradshaw was actually likable?
My favorite types of matches will always be cruiserweight style. The athletic, high flying, quickness, and unpredictable of it all. Much respect to those men
The line about “that absolute mad bastard David Flair trying to be like HBK by “throwing snow all over himself” is stupendously ill-natured in its throwaway delivery. Bravo! Oh how I laughed.
Was watching one of the final WCW pay-per-views a couple of nights ago and there was a David Flair promo where he actually showed a little bit of fire. Yes, seriously.
I remember watching this episode of Raw live and when most of my favourite WCW guys came over to the WWF, I know it was truly all over for WCW. It was wild that WCW just let all those guys walk. What were they thinking!?
You know what surprised me the most about this episode? That Mark Madden wasn't completely annoying on commentary. Of course, as we all know, that wouldn't last.
LOVED the new David flair song! But please.....PLEASE bring "He's an animal! AN ANIMAL! AN ANIMAL!!!" Every time I see that I rewind it about 20 times and crack up hard.🤣🤣🤣
I’m sorry but I didn’t pay attention to that Stone Cold Steve Austin interview when it first aired. I was too busy getting distracted by the stuffed deer looking at Steve Austin. I was kinda expecting it to laugh at Steve like in Evil Dead 2 😅
@3:05 "These are young guys" Well, 3 younger guys and Malenko. Still, in ring quality between the four was better than the majority of the WWE roster put together.
35:47 That was a good curve Irish whip by Malenko and Saturn, they aim him a little off to the right only for him to still run into the belt, I guess Saturn has a good crooked sight
The last thing I remember watching in WCW was when Disco Inferno got naked to make the cruiserweight title, that’s the exact moment I shut off WCW for good
I dont remember what you’re reffering too and im sure it was kinda silly but there’s been plenty of times boxers and mma fighters are so close to making weight that they have to get naked and have people cover them up with towel on the scale. Imagine someone seeing that and going im never watching boxing again. 🙄, gimme a break dude
8:18 Are we sure that's not Kurrgan? because I can picture Big Show taking a match out of Triple H's face by performing the claw like Kurrgan, or Blackjack Mulligan, or the Von Erichs
Vince made a lot of WCW mid carders into world champions . Diesel, Taker, HHH, Kane, Austin, Foley , Jericho, Eddie and Benoit . I think it was on purpose
Few observations Flair v Funk being a focal point of nitro v the radicalz debuting on raw REALLY tells the entire story Also Boy howdy did the Radicalz debut really overshadow Taz being the "new guy"
Big show morphed into a 7 foot buff bagwell with that haircut
How much do you think he charged old ladies by the hour?
Big Bagwell
I waited for this episode since the very beginning. RIP Eddie.
The creation of the APA: a truly historical moment! One of my all time favorite tag teams!
That heenan video was great.

Oooo. You seen nothing yet. Just wait until we get further in WCW in the year 2000 😉.
Hell yeah, Wrestling With Wregret says that too😂
Vacant is the GOAT he’s been a world champ in every major promotion
No one wanted to be champ there
@@Boo-yaa86what's the point of being champion of a fake sport?
The updated David Flair song 🔥 🔥
Yes 😂
Who is the hot chick at the end of the song
It’s cool
Such a banger
Can't deny it when it said David flair you gotta stop smoking crack I lost it
This is no longer Thursday….This is now Reliving the War day.
Al Snow + Lance Storm = SNOW STORM!!!
I would prefer Steve Blackman + Lance Storm....
If they could BOTH be serious for a minute....
Terrible. I love it.

😂😂
@roccojamison89gooker51 😂😂😂. 2 larger than life comedic personalities
WWF is as absolutely stacked at this point
Mind you stone cold and taker were both still out with injuries. Still didn’t stop the wwf from producing great tv with all that talent.
Which supports the claim no one person is a needle mover. The notion "It's all Austin" for the AE boom is a myth. @MR.__G
"Horse Toothed, Banana Nosed Bastard" Glorious
Flair drops an elbow on John Cena never gets old😂😂😂
Ric’s hated John Cena for no reason this entire series
One of the bigger shows in the War. I really doubt we'll ever see anything like this again, a true product of how the landscape of both wrestling and media consumption was in 2000.

Big Bagshow

You win sir 😂😭

Big Buffwell...no that might not work.
The David Flair intros have made me retroactively a David Flair fan, never doubt the power of a good theme lol
He may not good in the ring but character wise his psycho gimmick is entertaining.
Seeing the Radicalz in a WWF ring made me lose my mind watching this as a kid
I remember actually feeling sorry for Angle in that match. His outrage towards the crowd felt very real.
It probably was, it took Kurt a while to get kayfabe, getting over, and working a gimmick. He legit thought people would be cheering him because he'd won Olympic medals and was playing a "good guy", and it took a few months for things to click for him.
@@ArchangelSteve Well, in time, Kurt Angle used the 3 I's: Intensity, Integrity, and Intelligence. It's True! It's True!
@roccojamison89gooker51 he never sucked.
The David flair intro songs and the Mean Street Posse intro get me everytime 🤣🤣🤣
6:03 A Smackdown episode of Relieving the War! Oh Hell Yeah!
Smackdown was gold during this era. Hope it becomes a new weekly episode! 🙌
MEEEeee 2🤘
I can’t believe you were able to get not one but TWO iconic songs for David Flair but the first one will always be my favorite.
Childhood nostalgia in full force 😊
As well as a huge blow to WCW, tonight was the beginning of the end for a lot of people who’d been prominent on WWF TV in 1999.
D’Lo, Gangrel, Bossman, Headbangers and many others were all but done as even midcarders when the Radicalz rocked up
Val venis is the big one, he was feuding with Foley in 1999, by 2000 he's a nobody
@@TJHistoriesNot at all, Venis has a successful heel run from June to September when he is ic champ and feuds with Rikishi then Eddie Guerrero and Chyna while hooking up with Trish. Him and the big Kish have a proper little banger at Fully Loaded
don't forget, Godfather is about to become the Goodfather. , this is where his run dies and he becomes miserable working
Oh god, the 1-2-punch of the Flair intro and the line about him imitating his hero Shawn Michaels in the snow broke me!
Even though Stinko Malenko and Saturn ultimately didn't do all that much, losing the Radicalz was a massive loss for WCW and big gain for the Federation.
WCW at this point had no juice or buzz and was just known as a complete mess while the WWF was gearing up for Mania.
I picture WrestleMania 20, just four years later with two of the Radicalz in the ring with both of the top belts
They had no juice? What about Juvi juice? 😂
@@stenzel27 with some of his best opponents gone, there weren’t enough hands to squeeze the juice out of him
@eastsidereviews727 Dude show some respect to Dean please!

My favorite types of matches will always be cruiserweight style. The athletic, high flying, quickness, and unpredictable of it all. Much respect to those men
So basically what all of modern wrestling has turned into. Dives, flips, and superkicks.
The Rock had some banger lines in this one. MVP of the night
The line about “that absolute mad bastard David Flair trying to be like HBK by “throwing snow all over himself” is stupendously ill-natured in its throwaway delivery. Bravo! Oh how I laughed.
I think out of everyone in the radicals that debut, Perry Saturn got the short end of the stick the most. he became the man with the mop.
Yeah it's a shame his talent was wasted.
And yet he still got more airtime than Deano Machino.
But Dean got the best theme song. Agent 007 Malenko.
Moppy
That was a fun angle the crowd liked
Perry Saturn would’ve made a great IC champ I think if pushed correctly
Was watching one of the final WCW pay-per-views a couple of nights ago and there was a David Flair promo where he actually showed a little bit of fire. Yes, seriously.
We've gotten to the point in the wrestling timeline where I was old enough to remember watching some of these segments at 5 years old
8:54 Lash talks about changing the name of the Crusierweight Belt in his favor, but Lance Strom ends up doing it a few months later

LMAO chief robot man what a hilarious nickname for Taz that made me laugh the radicals debut was awesome great episode of reliving the war.
11:58 fair play... as brothers, it *is* very easy to mistake one Dudley for the other...
Yes, especially from the front
More power to you covering WCW 2000 brother 😩
We have yet to see Lance Storm's biggest career push later in WCW 2000
APA IS HERE!!!
Every Friday morning, reliving the war is ready for me to drive to work. I really look forward to it every week
You watched early this week
3 count was a highlight during this era of WCW
I must admit Smiley in that Gene Simmons KISS makeup was pretty rad 😂
11:09 What a picture LMAO
3 men all checking out Stacy lol even a proud looking Mike Tenay haha
The new David Flair jingle popped me big time. It’s amazing.
I kinda like it imo😂😂😂😂
I have never clicked faster in my life. Was in the middle of a Smosh vid lmao
They're still a thing? Haven't heard about them for around a decade
That David Flair intro is now even better :P
Hulk Hogan does return at Thunder, it was just removed from the WWE Network for some weird reason!
That Thunder's main event of Sid facing the Harris twins in a cage match was also edited off the Network for some strange reason.
Best part of my Thursday
You know what surprised me the most about this episode? That Mark Madden wasn't completely annoying on commentary. Of course, as we all know, that wouldn't last.
We’ve seen the Big Show choke slam many times, but that one done on Scotty was , my lord, violent AF.
WOLFPAC 4 LIFE 🤟
5:45 the "f*ck this company" comment had me in stitches 🤣 🤣 🤣
Al Snow and Steve Balckman got so close. With just a little bit more effort, they could have been Black Snow!
Or SnowMan.
RESPECT!
Instead, Black Snow became the greatest commentator in TNA history, commentating his own match during the show
The Rock: 🎶 Somebody got a haircut! 🎶
This episode is Radical.
This was the raw before we got sky in our house. Good times.
The final nail in the WCW coffin starts here.
Came here to say this.
It pretty much started with the finger poke of doom a year earlier. And then hiring Russo back and forth didn't help matters much either
Yeah that will put butt's on the seat🫣🤫
The first nail hogan poked into big sexys chest
This is when they lost their spine
Triple H calls Big Show Freddie Mercury when he sees his haircut and facial hair 😂
I was told by the IWC H wasn't funny.

Big Show looking like a Temu Gomez Addams
8:12 Whoever convinced Big Show to style his facial hair like that woke up and chose violence that morning.
Probably the only time I laughed at this STUPIDASS reddit comment.
I’m sorry but I didn’t pay attention to that Stone Cold Steve Austin interview when it first aired. I was too busy getting distracted by the stuffed deer looking at Steve Austin. I was kinda expecting it to laugh at Steve like in Evil Dead 2 😅
The highlight of my week. thank you for all the hard work
The Tide has turned so much now its a tidal wave for WCW
Remember that Raw episode like it was yesterday.
I don’t remember anything else besides the opening segment.
Same
Nice to see Ric Flair back. I wonder if Scott Steiner is also happy about it. Maybe he can cut a promo next week
Is Ric related to the legendary David Flair?
I remember this raw and seeing Eddie, Perry, Dean, and Chris. Was pretty excited seeing them come to the WWF.
@3:05 "These are young guys"
Well, 3 younger guys and Malenko. Still, in ring quality between the four was better than the majority of the WWE roster put together.
Well, Saturn, Eddie, Benoit had the tools to succeed
Hell of a start to a ridiculous just over 5 year (off and on) run for Eddie
And here we are! Chris, Perry Dean and EDDIE join the winning team in the Monday Night Wars!
I’ve got to get these David flair songs. Such a bop
Best video of the week here
Now that's gonna be a good little piece of business
We are 4 months away from the American Badass debut 🔥
This was effectively the night the war was over. No coming back for WCW after this pair of shows.
The Radicalz came at the right time.
Another Thursday, another reliving the war!
That slingshot leg drop from crowbar was pretty sick ❤
More like slingshot 450 leg drop. He didn't just slingshot into the ring. He flipped after the slingshot.
Hey yo, Chinlock afficionados!
That Norman silly thing was hilarious. One of the only things I enjoyed in eve’s latter years.
35:47 That was a good curve Irish whip by Malenko and Saturn, they aim him a little off to the right only for him to still run into the belt, I guess Saturn has a good crooked sight
when the radicalz showed up on raw it was shocking and wcw was shocked and probably furious

There's been some on Raw too.

That Whiplash 2000 finisher looked slick as hell

Flair v Funk being a focal point of nitro v the radicalz debuting on raw REALLY tells the entire story
Also
Boy howdy did the Radicalz debut really overshadow Taz being the "new guy"
Just think if Owen hart was still alive when this occurred, how many great matches could he of had
I'm imagining the high jinks that could have ensued if they paired him up with Al Snow at this time.
