"masters" who always perform on students/stunts and have it never performed on them...

It makes no sense to change roles in the video, since Stephan (the attacker here) is much better than me at ukemi.

"Idiots" who always comment on things they clearly know absolutely nothing about.

@@StefanStenudd that's why your back looks so flexible

@@StefanStenudd better than the master, sure. Also, so well done has to reposition himself constantly, and he needs also to grab your forearm first etc.

get the head guard, gum shield and some MMA mitts and step it up a bit, make it more random, less predictable. Then come back to me with the video.

You're not going to be doing MMA when you're in your seventies, either.

@@spamllama wouldn't get ne scrapping in an mma ring. They only fet points deducted for hitting back of the head. Which means they still try and kill one anotherm

@stuartpaul9211, so what you're saying is to do MMA instead of aikido. Feel free to do so yourself, instead of waiting for me to do it for you in a video.

@@StefanStenudd Coaches try to sell Aikido as a self defence system. realistically, the founder of aikido never intended it to be either offensive or defensive. he just stripped back fencing katas so they became unrecognisable and repurposed them as a mind, body, and soul exercise system.
Misleading viewers into thinking they can protect themselves using this stuff will get them seriously injured.
MMA is probably the closet thing in a 'controlled' environment where techniques are tested and dropped if they don't work.
If aikido was any good against a none compliant partner you wouldn't get judoka like Loclan Moorhead using all his skills and attributes against a none complaint contestant within the ruleset of judo. He'd be dancing around doing aikido techniques at the British and Europe championships
and yes, I have clinched, neck nestled and locked training partners arms up and tried to disorientate them during the occasion hard kickboxing sparing. their answer to me trying to grab and arm with an under or over hook was to beat me senseless with his free hand. I soon let go, covered up, and got out the war zone.

@@stuartpaul9211 Well then, why don't you go watch a video about that. We are here because we want to watch a video about this. We watch videos about stuff we like, while you seem to watch videos about stuff you don't like. I think that makes you a weirdo.
