This may be one of Wei Koh's best interviews. Max Busser felt so comfortable talking with Wei about his struggles and successes over the past 20 years. I admire Max Busser and what his team has accomplished. He is a genuine human being who creates masterpieces and took his creations from scratch to a profitable company. Many people would have quit with the challenges of the first 15 years, yet even with the success of the last five years, Max is grounded and really cares about his people. He is the real deal! Now only if I could afford one of his pieces of mechanical watch art...Happy for his success.

My favorite version of the M.A.D 1 so far. I love the primary colors and how the angel wings were integrated into the watch design. Fingers crossed on the raffle for this one.
Really appreciate and respect the energy and creativity of this independent brand and the owner.and his team that bring amazing watches to life.

I admit, when I first saw MB&F I thought they were ugly, tacky and awkward... But after hearing Max speak, seeing the energy and passion he has for his vision... I'm an instant fan. I would truly love to own one of his watches one day... Truly.

If coughing offends Wei so much, he should have become a concert-pianist.

Great interview. I recently bought the Mad 1 Red and what an incredible watch. Really wish to add this to my collection. Hopefully soon. Just one thing...the interview could have been taken with the camera being still. Love from India.

Note for the Camera Dude. Please stop the constant moving and when focusing on the watches, please take your time and actually focus on the watches. Cheers!

"When you become successful, most brands stop creating stop taking risk and treat their clients like dirt". Clearly Max is keeping an eye on Rolex(gold deep-sea)

Well what a great story, but also how interesting is economy on the other side. Coming from industry where without growth you are over an out in 6 months, I admire people who are working within industry where they can say: hey we will not search for growth just quality and improvement in every segment. And the problem and chaos in the world is just due to artificial growth you are destroying: working force, buyers, industry, everything just to make that extra profit vs. last year…

I really like your interview style, but I think it's a little hard to believe that you're basically over the moon on everything... I get that's why you have the access that you do, but I think you can be critical without being inflammatory. I mean lets be blunt... anyone who played Simon in the 1990s is looking at that watch and laughing at it.... not with it... I'd respect it if they made a watch that looked just like Simon as an homage but you take out the green and think we wont notice its still the same motif? You look at art, music, movies, etc etc and clearly Americans spearhead the zeitgeist, yet all these watch makers design watches for old men in Switzerland, then wonder why they get dragged on social media... This watch is fun, it's playful, it's interesting, and I can appreciate the techniques used and the mechanics... but it's looks like something out of a gumball machine 30 years ago.... I couldn't see paying more than 50 cents.
