¡¡¡Nice!!!, Because of your latest video on the new Aquaracer, I went to a TAG boutique to see it (thats also something very cool, it just came out and it's in the boutique, ¡in Mexico!) I was not sure because of the negative opinions on the brand as a watchmaker, but seeing you so excited about your new Carrera, and personaly being fascinated with the Aquaracer for more than 20 years now, I think it's time. TAG is top notch and I like it. Congrats on your new Carrera. Enjoy. Greetings from MX.
The tag heuer went from a brand I never care to consider to the top of my wishlist with the Skipper. And I did t know there is a rose gold version. What an absolutely stunning time piece.
I went to a Boutique where I currently live (Lebanon), they are a multi brand boutique, was not expecting to bump into a glass box Heuer, so I was not that enthusiastic about it but I asked to take a look at it because after all, it is another carrera; I was pleasantly surprised with the aesthetics, you just cannot pin point why it is brilliant, I felt the same way about it when Andrew first saw it on a Time and Tide coverage. yes, it is a beautiful watch and I also forgot it has been down sized, which made it look even better.
I am made up for you! This is a special watch, the rose gold elevate the watch to the next level - it is fancy but in a casual, fun way. I am big fan of the new Carrera line up, particularly the reverse panda. For me, Watches + Cars = Tag Heuer, and no one is doing it better at the moment IMHO. Enjoy staring and smiling at your new wrist candy!
YESSSSSSS ANDREW!! 🙌 You made the right choice. Absolutely f’ing stunning, wowza. I’m really, really loving what TH are doing. You are right in how lush it looks. Impulse decisions FTW! 😂 But looking forward to hearing the reasoning behind it. Aaaaaaaand also looking forward to maybe, possibly a Cartier vid??
I am wearing my midnight blue with the date at the 06:00. I ADORE this watch. Buy one…….you will like it. Thanks Andrew. Just found you again after It’s about F’ing Time. Fine review! By The Way I have the stainless steel and REALLY wish TAG would make a bracelet for it. AD gave me a 10% discount to boot.
Totally agree with the old TAG (early 80’s forward) just about destroyed the Heuer brand. I have a 1969 Baylor. Baylor was Zales Jewelers store brand..”The poor man’s Heuer. “ Dan Henry’s site has the best history on this. I had a non-hacking hand cranking 39 mm bi-compax (it was $75.00. Tri-compax was 95.00 and I only had $75.00 so I got what I got…kind of nice that it has a friction fit bi directional World Timer bezel. , 55 years later I got my tri-compax Heuer on my 70th from my Wife of almost 50 years in early 2024. It was the Darling of Watch & Wonders for 2023. TAG returned to the HEUER roots and in 2023 debuted the Glass Box Carrera (I got the blue with date at 06:00 & is gorgeous. ) 39 mm & out of the box running 3.01 sec per day fast, in the wild and a column wheel movement. An auto chronograph that is beautiful AND 39 mm…..it was a no brainer for me. Man
Hello Andrew, really like this format! And congratulations on the new watch The CNN / breaking news captions are not really needed though... Just a tad cheap Cheers from Switzerland Eric
nooooooooooooooo.... the rose gold the my least favourite.. you gotta think of me Andrew before you get a watch mate.. hahaha.. enjoy the watch mate! enjoyed handlin all the models at the TH boutique in Brisbane!
@@timeandtidetribe cool.. thanks Andrew.. i will go harder next time... been offered a limited edition Green monaco about to come out but still under embargo.. you recommend that one?
@@shugorchoudhury5376 what I’m saying is long lugs offset smaller sizes - if a 39mm watch has short / stubby lugs it wears tiny - this has long lyre style lugs with a lug to lug of 46mm - wears great on my 7in wrist
Well Drew mate, my initial guess was a Vacheron…then Patek!🤣 But when you showed the possibilities of the Tag, I did pick the Skipper, coz basically that’s what I’d personally go for! It’s a stunner! Enjoy the wear!👏🏼👍🏼😎
Beautiful pickup! I have the Glassbox Panda that I purchased week of W&W at a local boutique because of your prompt coverage of that release! Enjoy every minute of it! 😉
Terrific stuff Andrew! Could you please tell me where I can find the desktop chronographs/ stopwatches you have on the left of the shot as you unbox? I’ve seen them here and I’ve seen them on AET and decided I need them. Thanks so much!
That damn watch. Damn it. Now I can’t get it out of my head. It’s such a perfect hot rod for the wrist with the fabric strap like the soft convertible top of the car. Just superb bro. 🎉🎉🎉
This is such a brilliant choice. It's a conversation piece without being obnoxious about it. I love the Glassbox Carrera. It has definitely stepped up my interest in the Carrera chronographs. They weren't bad before, but just not where the price positioned them up against the Speed. Now I think they can hold their own, especially since they are a bit below the Speedy sapphire. They have their own fantastic heritage and the design has beautifully melded a vintage aesthetic with a forward looking aesthetic. I love how they are not all cookie cutter with just a color change on the dial. You've got shifting date positions, 1, 2, and 3 subdials, different metals, different types of straps, different movement variations, etc. I could have a whole collection of these things. The Carrera Skipper has been a grail of mine for years now. The originals are way out of reach (a true grail) and I probably wouldn't feel comfortable regularly wearing such an expensive piece. Even the Hodinkee Skipper is easily triple the original price, when they rarely come on market. This new one modernizes it and is more readily available. I am more drawn to the stainless Skipper, but the rose gold is absolutely stunning. I think I have to make the regular Skipper my next big purchase. I was just talking to my AD about it yesterday, after trying on the brilliant emerald green model, new silver Panda on bracelet, and even the slightly bigger (yet still manageable) tourbillon. Congrats on this pickup and I hope the honeymoon period never ends.
I'm a big proponent of Tag Heuer in general, and that's by far my favorite Tag ever. I'd probably pick one over the green dialed moonshine gold Speedmaster (w/ strap), which I consider a "grail" (though on the much pricier bracelet). However I don't think I'd be able to pick it over a sedna gold Blancpain FF Bathyscaphe. Especially if I could get a discount on a Quantieme Complet version.
@@timeandtidetribe I mean out of all models in the glass box edition, this is the smartest pick. However, I never saw you as a gold guy, to each his own I guess. But, nice buy.
I’ve wanted one of these the second I saw it. I went into the Dubai boutique and got hands on, cut a long story short, I need to find £18k 😂

Class, beauty, style, perfection....Tag Heuer at it's best and a statement piece without a doubt!

Love the format of this video mate. Would love to see more personal stories w/ the rest of the T+T crew

Thing is, it wouldn't have mattered which one you selected. They're all killer.
Should have had the camera directly on you when you opened it. Then did the B roll.

Epic watch man congrats! also love the stormtrooper on your wrist
Excellent choice! The rose gold really pops against that midnight blue dial.
Wow good choice. Very nice 👍
Great watch . Congratulations
Glassbox for the win
Last week i got my first tag, a car2012 and actually will wear it much more than my datejust in 18k gold. Way underrated.
Sweet and just fantastic

Fair call Eric 🙌
Best in class and some history too
Looks great, enjoy. Long Term Tag fan, brought my first in 1992, and still going strong today.

39mm…….too small !
Nah, those Carrera lugs add plenty of heft !

It's also bezel-less so it wears larger than 39.
tmt
I’m not really interested in Tag’s tbh. But that is a beautiful watch. Now we need you to give us a collection update please.
