Steve you are a genius. This has made things so easy to reset the system, and then reprogram users etc. I had a couple of (quirky) errors on my system, worked around them. Thank you for your dedication and time in sharing this, which has saved me a lot of money. 😄😄
Outstanding videos, my old 488 had a fault I could not trace so a did full default reset but then all the programming was lost, this video helped me reprogram it as it is essentially the same and the RFID was on the back of the PIR. Living remotely, the cost of having an alarm tech come out would have been horrendous, so thank you very much :)

I noticed in your video that you did not select which sensor to delay. How system knows which sensor to delay by going through 466 or 467?
Hi Steve, We returned from our holiday. My alarm was on. We entered the house and tried to deactivate the alarm with our code as always. Alarm went off anyway. Tried code a few times with no luck. I had to open and then cut the wire inside the siren box. 2 and 3 are still flashing on my control board. How do I fix this? Any idea will help. Thank you. Mez
We found out that we didn't press # away key after password. So to rid off this problem we just activated and stright away deactivated alarm and all is good now. It's a bit confusing that when you activating or de activating alarm in both you have to press # away key after password. Hope this help.
Hey Steve, just wondering if you have an LCD Icon Codepad for the 2000/3000 that has firmware version v1.0 (the one that always has the keys with a backlit and longer illumination time after pressing a key)?

We have a Bosch alarm system solution 16 it was indicating a fault which was number two set date and time which I have now done and no more error is shown but the keypad still keeps beeping around 3 a.m. to around 8 a.m. any thoughts because it is making me go crazy

Excellent video Steve. I'd recommend if you change the title of this video and remove "Reset" as the first word then people will be able to find this video easily. Perhaps call it "Bosch Security System 2000/3000 programming and resetting". Just a suggestion as it took some of us quite a bit of time to come across this amazing training video.

hi Steve I have recently changed battery and no 1 sensor beeps every time it detect object or we walk around but won't beep with other sensors. and all 5 sensors on keypad blinks. can you suggest what could be the solution for this ? regard
Hi Steve, I recently replaced my fried board of solution 880 with a replacement one. I have tested it working with the battery but I could not figure out how to connect the adaptor to the connector as my old cable colours were yellow/green, yellow & yellow. The new adaptor that came with the board has yellow/green, red & white. I can't attach the photo here to the comment but assuming you understand what I am asking for. I do not want to connect the wrong cable and kill the board. Any chance you can help & guide me on which cable goes where? I
Hi mate, I attempted to default my bosch by doing what you done disconnecting both ac power and battery. I hold the default button down and as soon as I reconnect the ac power, the alarm is goes off. How can I fix this? Just bought a new home and want to reset this please
Goodmorning Sir. Fantastic videos... Based in Victoria. I have a few questions to ask if possible... I’m a bit of info junki. I love soaking in info. 1. Is the reason for AC power only to keep charge on the battery. Y or N. ? 2. If I remove the blue strobe outside can I replace it with a 12 v dc small spot lite. 3. So basically ,this is for an area where there is no AC power and want to eliminate the blue siren/ strobe with a lite. 4. I will use a solar power to charge. Any feedback would be great. Cheers 🍻
2580 1234 won't work after resetting system triangle flashes when I enter a code it reverts to off position when I hold the 5 down the stay and away flash but it won't allow me to enter anything

Hi I have rest to factory settings successfully thanks to you as I did not have any code and now I'm using the master code. The problem is I have only 2 sensors 1 and 2 but I can see constant numbers 345678 and flashing off how can I remove that. Thank you
@@husainkhambaty6136 on the lower / bottom of the board you will see green connectors with wires going in. You need to figure out which is the siren..it will be on the output contacts..they are labeled. My siren was wired in with my strobe.
@@johnbuckley2297 @John Buckley okay..when you factory reset I recommend just disconnecting one of the wires to the siren. There is a reasonable amount of programming to do after a reset to get the system to behave itself. There isn't a setting to simply disable the siren.

When I put all my zones on the handover zones, they set off instantly. Why?

I disconnected my siren so I could reset and reprogram...lets you experiment without angering your neighbors
