  • This video show's you my method of changing a Solution 880 (or any 8xx series panel) to a Solution 2000 or 3000 system. It's done cable by cable and I explain each connection as I go. This video is a "must watch" if you're upgrading your alarm or if you've changed to NBN and need an up to date IP or GSM panel. Any questions welcome!
    Part 2 will show the first boot up and how to change the keypads and settings so you can get your new board running.

    Nice hints and tips even for those installing a panel from scratch I.e. loops in wires for identification.

      Great video but you didn’t explain where the external siren/strobe tamper cables go in the board. Also would be nice to add the board push tamper too.

    Thanks for sharing this video. By watching your video I was able to replace my fried board of solution 880 with a replacement solution 880 board. I have tested it working with the battery but I could not figure out how to connect the adaptor to the connector as my old cable colours were yellow/green, yellow & yellow. The new adaptor that came with the board has yellow/green, red & white. I can't attach the photo here to the comment but assuming you understand what I am asking for. I do not want to connect the wrong cable and kill the board. Any chance you can help & guide me on which cable goes where? I

    Great video, helped me install Bosch3000. One question though, you suggest connecting piezo siren to No and Aux, whereas Bosch Quick Ref Guide p.54 wiring diagram says to connect piezo siren to No and Ground. Pls clarify which is correct.

      Either. The jumper setting makes the difference.

    I wired mine up as per this video, my siren and keypad are going off, everything lit up on keypad but not responsive.
    Any reason this could happen?

    Do you know if it is possible to add a B426-M module to an ICP-CC488-SUB board? If not I might be following your instructions here...

    Hi there, thanks for sharing this video. I am installing Bosch 3000 alarm system for first time and was searching some informative videos for wiring up the system from scratch. I want to wire up 6 sensors. My board is same as your upgraded board. I have one strobe light, one hat siren one IP module and 6 sensors. Can you please show or send some pictures of wiring up this system and how to program it ? I would be very helpful for me. Waiting for your reply. Thank You

    Where is the tamper switch connection, and if you do not want a tamper switch how do you overcome that

    • @CheapAlarmParts
      @CheapAlarmParts  4 года назад +2

      The tamper switch connection is in the top right hand corner of the main board. If you don't want to use the tamper switch, just short out the terminals with a small piece of wire or go to menu "System -> Faults -> 8 "Onboard tamper triggers alarm" and turn that off on the text keypads, or Location 0495 = 2 on the icon keypad.

    • @cjkokay
      @cjkokay 3 года назад

      @@joelchan2403 if you have a horn siren wire the tamper in series and turn on horn monitoring. I use black fir strobe neg, red strobe pos, white fir horn pos , blue for horn neg(output 1).

    Thanks heaps, do you need to zone out 5-8 using resistors.

    • @CheapAlarmParts
      @CheapAlarmParts  4 года назад

      No you don't. You can program unused zones as a "Not Used" zone type, and they will be ignored and not visible on the system. Check out our video on Zone Types for more info.

    Hi there,i noticed that you are not earthing the system.Can we do that?And also my cables are blue and white instead of green and yellow.please advise,thanks so much

    • @CheapAlarmParts
      @CheapAlarmParts  4 года назад

      I think using the grounding mount on the actual metalwork depends on the electrical regulations and telecommunications regulations in your country / state / territory - and if it's connected to a analogue phone line or not. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. The max voltage in the unit is 18-20vAC from the plug pack, so none of it is 240v. The plug pack does have an earth which connects to the PCB. The earth is usually green and yellow. The other two cables don't have polarity so it doesn't matter which way around you connect it.

    nice video, can other brand of PIR sensors connected to Bosch system? will they have any compatible issues?

    • @CheapAlarmParts
      @CheapAlarmParts  3 года назад +1

      Yes, you can add other makes of hardwired sensors, as long as they are 12v and normally closed (NC).

      Hi Frank. No you need to add a seperate receiver. The B810 for the Solution 3000; WE800EV2 for the Solution 2000.
