Man, you are a very good mechanic! I think it would have been useful to show us why this had to be done. As a former Human Factor Engineer (missile industry) I think this whole door/window operation needs to be simplified more and also, eliminate using any plastic parts that break. I would pay more money for the car just to have a much more reliable
$ystem. I have had too many window regulator failures!
if you remove the speaker the regulator comes out and goes back in a lot easier.
also if you roll down the window enough you can take the two window bolts off then pull the window to top and tape it. it is a lot easier than using a ratchet wrench with the window up
How about a video of how to change a window motor THAT'S NOT WORKING.
If you unbolt the regulator from the inner door panel first, you can move the window up and down manually but the window won't hold it up on its own. It might be a two person job depending on the position it's stuck in but you can access the bolts alot easier from the access holes in the door. Just take off the speaker door to get access to the second bolt from the window to the regulator.

Is it about the same procedure as the is300
For some reason when I primed the motor the gear only moves in one direction. I also bought a new motor and still going in one direction ( down). When I press the up button in window the motor gear still goes down. Any ide?
So what do you do if the window doesn't go down and you need to move down the regulator?
What kind of impact driver is that
What type of bolt connects the window to the regulator?
They are 10mm bolts, they are the same 10mm bolts as the regulator to the inner door panel the window regulator. Also the motor to the regulator is a t25 torx even though they don't really look like normal torx bolts.
What if the motor isn't working and that's why it's being changed? How do you get the bracket to collapse so it can be removed? Because you lowered the bracket by turning on the said motor you were changing.. doesn't make sense
+W Williams Thanks for watching! In that case you can usually crack open the back of the motor and manually crank it down. Other than that you will have to go one bolt at a time and slowly remove the regulator.
