Wow, finally this helpful video is posted. The key step is to align motor to regulator at 9th tooth. My 2005 ES330 failed 3 window motors within 2-3 months two years ago. I ordered 3 motors from different vendors. But all 3 after installation by a local shop exhibit abnormal behavior in auto mode, window won't stop at top and come down to middle, and reset procedure doesn't work at all. I brought to 2nd shop but reset didn't work either. It has became a mystery ever since. Now I realized that the shop installing my 3 motors apparently did not align motors to regulators correctly as such reset procedure doesn't work. But to my surprise most technicians do not know the correct installation steps for this model?

For some reason when I primed the motor the gear only moves in one direction. I also bought a new motor and still going in one direction ( down). When I press the up button in window the motor gear still goes down. Any idea?

How many teeth you count for rear window motor for same car ls430?
