    Adidas always have their shoes on sale with crazy discount. When you pay 60% off original price, it’s hell of a good shoe

      Yeah, adidas certainly has more sales discount compared to Nike or Puma

    I concur with your thoughts on this shoe. I've bought the early Ultraboosts and enjoyed them but nowadays I'm always reaching for other shoes over them. Like you said, there are so many cheaper and better alternatives out there. Thanks for the review.

    I got the Ultraboost Light and in the beginning I did not like it because this model got a change in its category . Right now it is more like competing with a Pegasus, Wave Rider or Gel-Cumulus since it is more nimble and versatile then what it used to be. But I loved the Ultraboost 22, heavy yes but it was even more stable then the Light with the larger LEP system and the normal Boost had more cushioning ... I wish that we had an Ultraboost 23 and the Light version would cost less since it was no longer a high cushioning shoe anymore.
    But I understand Adidas wanting to put the Ultraboost Light as a daily trainer, an expensive one ,but really good shoe. Now the Ultraboost no longer competes with other Adidas shoes like the Adistar 2 or the Solar Glide 6 as another extremely high cushioning shoe.

    While I haven’t tried the ultraboost light, here in the US the biggest knock I’d give to the ultraboost is their absurd $190 price tag. At $30 more expensive than most other max cushion shoes and $10 more than shoes like the invincible and SC trainer it’s really hard to justify that price tag. If I were to spend that much money for a non-super shoe I’d rather pay the extra $10 to get the superblast instead.

      @babyyoda134 Год назад +1

      Agreed. I definitely want to pick up the Superblast. I'll wait till it gets discounted and is more readily available with different colorways. Probably next year as I'm in no hurry. I have too many shoes as it is. But yes, you make a good point about the pricing. In Australia, it is $270 from the adidas website. Mind you, the Superblast is currently a crazy $320 here. At 85 cents each, that's over a years supply of McDonalds Soft serve Ice cream cones on a daily basis!

    I can get these at any Adidas outlet for $90 + tax which then makes these a viable standard-pace run option. Plus these go on sale every two or three months online. Definitely not worth the full retail asking price.

    they need to increace the stack height in the heel to like around 34mm or 36mm to maintain that around 10mm drop while giving ample cushion in the forefoot

    • @Not-Me66
      @Not-Me66 7 месяцев назад

      I have the UB lights and it honestly just sucks in the forefoot, the Boost light foam is amazing, VERY bouncy and soft, but when put into a very low stack height it just feel stiff and firm and uncomfortable, if it were 40mm heel 30mm forefoot it would be amazing since u would actually feel the forefoot cushioning and enjoy the plushness and bounciness of the foam

    I got these for 50 dollars from REI and they are so good for a new runner like me. And different from my older Pega 37s. It’s nice to have the extra cushion for the few miles I currently run.
    For the price it’s amazing! And makes getting back into running more enjoyable

    My first running shoe was UB 22 but after 200km its like running on concrete. Bought Hoka Mach 5 and Triumph 20 after that for daily training. The difference is like day and night.. don't think i will ever buy UB series after using Triumph/Mach5

    Any ideas if this is good for wide footers with flat feet? Is the insole glued in? Can I insert my own or an custom orthotic? Would love for you to cover these questions in future reviews. Thanks.

    Great review thanks! Would you say they come up slightly smaller than the Ultraboost 22? So if a 9 on the 22, would it be worth going 9.5 on the light?

    I currently run in the adidas supernova 2 and I’m looking for slightly more shoes for recovery run and I slightly pronate and prefer something a little firmer underfoot and want a bit of ground feel. Would you recommend the ultraboost light or a glycerin gts?

    The new ultraboosts are just not upto the mark. 20 was a beast and it all went downhill since, too tight like she said. Saucony on the other hand has been doing magic, durability wise i would still pick ultraboost but for comfort and performance i go with saucony.
