I would love to be able to erase my memories of this mission to play it again and experience it as if it were the first time, there is no mission more epic than this
It's all about The Long Walk. And the guys staying back to buy you some time. And shooting 50 Harbingers in the face. And Miranda telling the man where to stick his job. And blowing up a mini-Reaper. And running through an exploding base and leaping like a mofo and flying off and spillin' Martinis on the Citadel. Yeah.
Mass Effect Mass Effect Mass Effect. Since I lived this saga for the first time 2 years ago it changed everything.... Now when I talk with people and do stuff I see dialogue wheels everywhere. Its so fucking cool
Thank you for sharing this - Jack Wall's score for 1 and 2 both moved me to tears and made my pulse boil!!! such a shame he did not do the score for 3...The thing I found odd was how many times in 3 musical cues were used from 1 and 2. I know it's not a film, but Wall's score for 2 should've won the video game equivalent of an Oscar.
So because you think the last 10 minutes were bad (they weren't), that means the rest of the good moments in ME1/2 don't mean anything? Truly, you show us all what it means to be a TRUE Mass Effect fan. *clap*
I got to thinking about it and it's not just the epic nature of the music, but of the experiences that went along with it. Even now only listening to it I get all the chills and emotions associated with the finale and how absolutely awesome it was. ME3 is my most anticipated game ever, and considering that I've been playing games since the Atari 2600 and the Commodore 64 with it's tape drive, that's saying something.
gonna take a minute to say THANKS for your overwhelmingly positive feedbacks. let me stress again, that my participation in creating this track was very small. it took me a few hours on a otherwise boring afternoon whereas the composers and musicians of the original music spend many days, weeks, months even to produce the building blocks for this little piece of fan "art". and know, let us pray to the gods so that ME:3 may arrive shortly and in unimaginable glory and epicness :)
@StellermanIf If you dint already know, ME3's score is being done by 5 different composeres. Clint & Sam Hullic included, plus the people that did the DLC's for ME2!
@Nordlycht I agree with both, the techno went well with the epic places you saw in ME1... wheres the grand orchestra stuff goes well with the more upbeat epic battles that take place in ME2
@Stellerman7 dont worry about Mansell... i mean the man who made some of the most terrifyingly beautiful soundtracks like Requiem for a Dream and The Fountain and Moon , hes definately capable of pulling this off, although im still surprised by the fact Wall is not the composer.
@Nordlycht Clint Mansell is doing ME3. Ive heard two of his songs: Lux Aeterna, and Escape from Earth. Now he is my second favorite composer. After Martin O'Donnell, and its a close one.
@Midget5019 I played the combat in Eurogamer. It felt really good and fluid. Similar to ME2s but refined to the standard of GOW if not better. I also had a good look at the progression system and it looks relatively in depth, as does the weapon customisation system. The only thing I cannot comment on is the Story, on which we are relying on BWs reputation (and the multiplayer of course).
@ArlEamonAndTheJonas Well it was supposed to release in November, right? Now it's pushed to March. I think a few more months will be plenty of time and no corners will be cut.
@Nordlycht If the trailer's anything to go by, ME3 seems to have gone down the FPS/warzone track. I'd bet there'd be a combination of the epic orchestra and that.
@DubFreakFreer I agree with you that the first game's music fit the series better, but I feel that the ME2 soundtrack fit ME2 better than a techno-type track would have. ME2 had an overall different feel to it that would have been hard to mesh with a track like that from ME1.
No Rannoch was very well designed just extremely short. It brought the best of my feelings for Tali out while giving me a happy hopeful feeling that we may again see her in future installments. And that maybe if we try hard enough we can bring back those the we have lost in the process of aligning the Quarians and Geth as one. *Legion* Unfortunately the ending is not the same, it leaves me off believing that Tali and all our friends will never be seen again. Which kills the franchise for me.
@FellFather Oh I'm well aware of his work and I think he is a brilliant composer. Its just a question of if he can create something that fits the mood of ME3?
IMO, not as good as the original "Suicide theme", but then again, can anything be? Your piece of art here though, is definetly the best combo of the musics from ME2, I'll give you that :)
@Nordlycht It did feel more unique but I also think the crazy '80s techno doesn't suit a suicide mission as well as, well this. I like em both myself :)
At the VERY end? That's a guitar :) It's the Illusive Man cue, I don't recall if that particular piece is on the OST or if it is one of the files I extracted from the game. But even if so there ought to be a very similar tune on the OST .... The cue before the Illusive Man Theme however IS played by a piano ;) ... and I have NO idea where that is from. I think I found it in the game files. But I'm not sure, sorry.
@DubFreakFreer What about the DLC soundtracks for Project Overlord, Kasumi: Stolen Memory and Lair of the Shadow Braker? They're more epic trance than epic orchestral.
@Stellerman7 what do you think i have faith that he may not be the vanguard of destruction for mass effect soundtracks face it he is now the harbinger of audio destiny
God damn it everytime I listen to this suicide mission theme it always reminds me of the time that I actually Enjoyed Mass Effect now its just kinda of a epic fail with a strange cliffhanger.
@DubFreakFreer Wait a second, you can't seriously think a game where you save the ENTIRE GALAXY is a better fit with techno, as opposed to EPIC-sounding music do you?
@dodavieira Heh. I was chanting mostly in my head something like "PLEASE DON'T DIE! PLEASE DON'T DIE!" or something like that on my first run :D And when the Reapers appeared. I my reaction simply was "HOLY! F***ING! SHIT! We're screwed!" but I won't regret of blowing that base to hell :D
The Suicide Mission OST is probably one of the best soundtracks ever created.
Nope you total wrong!
Its *the best* , definetly without competion
@@CommanderKappa Damn right!
@@blivion7203 wait I remember your Name again, the Internet is smaller than you like to think.
@@CommanderKappa I remember your name and profile pic too...
I guess I could say the same...
@@blivion7203 it was from the TESO Elsweyer Trailer I guess.

Awesome
After playing Mass Effect 3 for about 20 hours now, I can say with confidence, that Mass Effect 2 is the superior game.
Mass Effect Mass Effect Mass Effect. Since I lived this saga for the first time 2 years ago it changed everything....
Now when I talk with people and do stuff I see dialogue wheels everywhere. Its so fucking cool
MASS EFFECT FOR LIFE!!!
TheFartman64 YEA!
have you tried not 'clicking' the wheel in real life? 8D
dragonieprayer People look stand there waving hands but after a while they go away.
Mere mortals
TheFartman64

at least the people in mass effect will wait until you have to say something.

I love the Suicide Mission part. Something about drum and choir that gives me goosebumps.
Love the games. Love the ending. Love this song.
+Chelaine King
Me 2! Cant wait for andromeda and more news about it :D
+Chelaine King ME2 supperior in every ways rather than ME3
The best underrated soundtrack of all time
Just Amazing. Whenever I listen to ANY track from Mass Effect 1/2/3, I want to play these games again.
0:56 "I will hold on as much as I can" (c) Samara
I allways used Miranda
So because you think the last 10 minutes were bad (they weren't), that means the rest of the good moments in ME1/2 don't mean anything? Truly, you show us all what it means to be a TRUE Mass Effect fan. *clap*
Both this song and "I Am the Doctor" was written in a 7/8 beat which is rarely used, also they both use a similar sounding chorus.
Well put together, I really like it and ill b coming bk here soon to listen again!
suicide mission - > first playthroug ->on hard level -> sweaty hands, heart pounding... what a trip at 4:00 in the morning 💪♥️

Mass effect's soundrack is a masterpiece and this soundtrack makes it justice, well done
That scene was one of the most exciting sequences. I was actually yelling "Run!" at that bit.
1) Leaving Earth
2) Mars mission
3) Thessia mission
4) Rannoch
5) Garrus bro moment
6) Grunt's attack
7) Fleets arriving
8) Cerberus mission (especially the final)
9) Fleets arrive
11) I'm Proud of you
12) Someone else might've gotten it wrong

great mix mate love listening to it

Great! It's what I was hoping to find. Thank you!
Oh man, this is an amazing remix.
This is about the most epic remix I've ever heard.
It's part of the track "The End Run (Shepard Dies)"
5 minutes and 5 seconds of pure brilliance... I have... Ascended
Excellent, sounds like credit's music. Great job!
First time i heared that, i cryed about this genius epic and perfekt cut...
Ein deutscher hier ^^
Liked and added to favorites.
@Nordlycht I agree with both, the techno went well with the epic places you saw in ME1... wheres the grand orchestra stuff goes well with the more upbeat epic battles that take place in ME2
Love the part between 2:25-2:40, where you only hear the chant shout "hah-hah-hah!"
Very well done!
i love you for this :))
It kinda reminds me of the 11th Doctor... with his theme and music...
this is beast
One word: Epic.
Or two words: F***ing epic!

@Nordlycht
Orchestral: soulful and mind-blowing.
Electronic: pulse-pumping and explosive.
A combination of the two: the greatest music known to man.
@Stellerman7
well......he did the music for Lair of the Shadow Broker.....so I'm gonna give him teh benefit of the doubt for now.
Ahhhhhhhh.....................feels like home:)
Human... You have changed nothing!
each time when I hear Harbinger saying that I give him the finger! XD cuz we know better!
tsunami770 We will find another way. Releasing control.
Chelaine King Boom!
+tsunami770 "You have failed. We will find another way" "Releasing control"
tsunami770 that what you know as Reapers are your salvation through destruction.
I agree, the start reminds me of one of Martha Jones' theme songs, can't remember which one though
I know from A to Z About mass effect 2, every song, every battle, every class.
Damm best game i ever play!
And you still remember that
@mitchr1224 iirc. He only did 2 of the songs in the OST. Sam Hullick and the composers for the DLCs are doing the rest.
amazing
epic, like it as much as the original score.
Awesome.
Epicness Pure :D
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite song on the internetz.
The piano bit reminds me a bit of the Mass Effect 3 main theme.
thanks
Dang it, I had this awesome music going and I still couldn't defend it on Missile Command. :( I don't have the Shepard swag right now...
@CorrinMovies Oh my god the bastion soundtrack is incredible :)
Hooooo my god!!! Niceeee
@DubFreakFreer I agree with you that the first game's music fit the series better, but I feel that the ME2 soundtrack fit ME2 better than a techno-type track would have. ME2 had an overall different feel to it that would have been hard to mesh with a track like that from ME1.
@DooMest Glad i'm not the only one who did that! ;)
No Rannoch was very well designed just extremely short. It brought the best of my feelings for Tali out while giving me a happy hopeful feeling that we may again see her in future installments. Hello , I m the Shepard . Basically......run
@FellFather Oh I'm well aware of his work and I think he is a brilliant composer. Its just a question of if he can create something that fits the mood of ME3?
1 Person tripped and died on the 'EndRun' of their Suicide Mission. lol
IMO, not as good as the original "Suicide theme", but then again, can anything be? Your piece of art here though, is definetly the best combo of the musics from ME2, I'll give you that :)
@DubFreakFreer I think they both fit the themes in both games... Like gloves.
dem goosebumps
download link? It would be awesome to hear it in 320kbs or original .wav file.
I kind of like this one over the original track but I still love them both xD
1 and 2 had a different style of gameplay and atmosphere the music complimented really well in both
@Nordlycht It did feel more unique but I also think the crazy '80s techno doesn't suit a suicide mission as well as, well this. I like em both myself :)

You hear this song when u are on suicide mission in the seeker swarm part, on Mass effect 2!
At the VERY end? That's a guitar :) It's the Illusive Man cue, I don't recall if that particular piece is on the OST or if it is one of the files I extracted from the game. @watchinginaz sounds like a good way to go out imo. will only explode after we 1000 the game
@Stellerman7 Correction: Clint Mansell will be ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL.
Sorry, I had to.
@Stellerman7 what do you think i have faith that he may not be the vanguard of destruction for mass effect soundtracks face it he is now the harbinger of audio destiny
Nice song
I played this for the Tempest, now it's the Normandy SR-2.
Anyone else scared that ME 3 will be to epic to handle? Like it will be so epic that you will end up exploding when you are playing the game?
God damn it everytime I listen to this suicide mission theme it always reminds me of the time that I actually Enjoyed Mass Effect now its just kinda of a epic fail with a strange cliffhanger.
@DubFreakFreer Wait a second, you can't seriously think a game where you save the ENTIRE GALAXY is a better fit with techno, as opposed to EPIC-sounding music do you?
your life is not over yet till the the movie is made
That tiny piano section plays as Shepard falls towards the planet in ME2 opening. No idea of a track name though.
meanwhile garrus is still in some calibrations
@dodavieira Heh. I was chanting mostly in my head something like "PLEASE DON'T DIE! PLEASE DON'T DIE!" or something like that on my first run :D
And when the Reapers appeared. I my reaction simply was "HOLY! F***ING! SHIT! We're screwed!" but I won't regret of blowing that base to hell :D
@ITZFailGaming Clint Mansell has big shoes to fill? Yeah, maybe titanic boots.
@Stellerman7 He did a great job with Halo, so I have faith.
awsome remix. I wish it was on Itunes
