From the beginning it looked like an easy project, that was wrong. A beauty in its simplicity, but when You look deeper, you find a lot of intricate lines, and then all the work behind it. Your videos make it seems like a few hours, but I think You invest days in such a knife. Thanks!
For someone not using a dedicated knife making 2x72 grinder your work really shows off how skilled you are. Your layout and hand file/finishing is extremely well done. Really nice work!
Jacke, not jealous, just admiring a great artist job. I've no talent at all for this but always trying. Sure you have some expertise he does not. Regards.
The SteelBlue and outline markings he uses go a long way to help. The rest is an insane amount of practice, patience, and a bit of talent. Find your thing and put in the time. You can make some cool stuff too.
I would like to point out what I'm sure everyone has already thought....Brother you are insanely skilled with hand files! I love how you show that even without something like a forge or anvil you can still make a functional and quality work of art. That knife looks like it would make a great chef's knife. That looks like a really elegant kitchen knife I could see you make like a whole set of those in varying sizes and turn around and sell it as a complete kitchen knife set
My dad would absolutely go nuts for this knife, me and him are both big knife lovers and this is just beautiful. I would legit pay like $500 for that thing.

I hate to say it but you are wrong. Forging is moving steel while it is in a hot state. Then after you forge molecules are all over the place, this is why you need to anneal steel before heat treatment. I go from annealed steel to heat treatment. Also, when you forge, you loose carbon.
