Tyler , I doubt you'll see this, but this song got me through my wife's brain cancer..
I listened it to it over and over in the snow outside my wife's hospital room and some how knew we would we be ok. Shes on year 3 of remission, thank you for your voice and your message.

You can go to Nashville on Saturday morning at 11 am and see better talent than what's on the radio. Not many do it as pure as TC. Great writing great pickin'. Original unique voice that sounds like passion and pain. More talent than Nashville? No but more than most.

      @alwayson6355 5 лет назад +16

@@travwayne4813 he says "i focus on my breathing" "my minds a mile a minute" hes talking about finding whats important to him through meditation not christ. But thats whats beautiful about us all having conciousness we can all realize our souls and come to the same conclusions from diffrent paths. Your making a line because thats what you believe but this song does just the opposite and erases it by blending meditation and his understanding of god as the man on the mountain. I think his understanding of god is Christian based but no where as rigid as your view.

Up in Pocahontas, near the Cranberry Glades
Ain't got bars, nor the charge to call her anyways
My mind's a mile a minute and my thoughts they bark like hounds
I'm focused on my breathing in the universal sound
I think about my darling girl, sleeping all alone
I pray the stars will shoot her all the wishes she can hold
On the day that I return, I aim to lay her down
But right now, I am focused on the universal sound
I think about tobacco juice and Masonjars of shine
I think about the vices I've let take me over time
    I recall when I was a baby, I didn't need nothing around
But a little bitty rattler and the universal sound
    I close my eyes
    It was all so clear
    It was all right then
    It was all right here
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace
I've sat there on a bar stool, and I've looked him in the face
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down
He was humming to the neon of the universal sound
I focus on my breathin' in the universal sound
I let it take me over from the toenails to the crown‘Til the body that I'm in, ‘til they put me in the ground
And I return to the chorus of the universal sound

Sturgill Simpson’s producing is insane especially this track both versions are fantastic but the album one is beautiful it’s *(I was gonna describe its sound with words and realized I couldn’t)* it’s one of the most well produced things I’ve ever heard and my favorite of the two versions. I find it ironic you say it under this song.

Rotisserie Chiggen he posted it three weeks ago, hopefully he means the House Fire track. Which I agree.. is a bad production. As is All Your’n. I have no idea how Sturgill went from Purgatory, perfect sound. To this new stuff. Tyler’s voice is insanely low and buried in the mix.

Sent here by Sturgils recommendation, and I'm glad, this guy has got something special. Going to see Sturgill in Sept, and just realized Tyler will be around in November. I'm so glad this type of country is making a surge.

Sturgill Simpson suggested that Tyler slow this song down a bit when they recorded it for the new album. I'm glad he did. The difference is night and day and gives the song that much more resonance.

Woah ❤ what just happened?? It happened and I was there for it but mercy I’m sill crying a joyful cry how did he know? Not many people know that’s Gods name is the breathing of every living thing 🤯 when we breathe in and out we say Gods name he wrote a song about the name of God and how it’s the universal sound 😮 the sound of the instruments was like a sound a noise that’s so beautiful and different than anything I’ve heard
