This is the only song it's used on, but damn it is compelling. The Professor talks about it on Rig Rundown (Tyler Childers), so came back to hear the song again and pay closer attention...
Fantastic song, but I prefer the studio version of this one. The live versions are way too fast. This might be the only song of his in which I prefer the studio version.
No offense, because I love Tyler and his band of talented folks, but were they on a time limit for this song? I get upping the tempo a little because they don't have all the album instruments there and want it to have a little more pep, but... A couple parts were damn near like The Devil Went Down to Georgia 😂 Still an amazing track, no hate. Just chuckled a bit to myself.
shredhead90 I don’t know why people don’t like the studio recording... they did some really cool unique things sonically in that recording. Not everything needs to be acoustic.
Pure country gold.....Ginger jesus has saved Country Music if yall ask me..
Pretty sure Sturgill Simpson saved country music
You’re a year late and an inch short bruh!!
Sturgil ain’t county, just ask him
@@snydesy What is he?
Ginger Jesus…YES!!!
Love this song. Just wish it was longer.
I don’t know how these guys all stay in time, that is a funky rhythm in that song.
It's kinda eastern isn't it.
Top tier songwriting here
I'm glad the electric mandolin is part of the universal sound.

What 6 assholes gave this a thumbs down? I don’t get people. This is a great song.
I love how well this song works either way
Tyler by himself is all I need
Universal sound! True.
Hoping to hear this and his universal sounds. Cain's ballroom. Can't wait for Dec 11.
Tyler credits Stergil Simpson who helped produce this record for giving it that trippy vibe. See Stergils “just let go!.”
Pure magic
...and such an awesome sound it is!
Such a great song
Perfection
turtleoaks , indeed it is. He is just awesome

It was and someone should be sued

I found the version hopefully. It's the one I was talking about

I kinda agree actually.

Tyler, please put this version on your RUclips page and take that over-processed version off!!
Brent Hensley this version is waaayyyyyy to fast he’s struggling through the whole thing
@@secretagentman3858 Tyler doesn't struggle lol, and my point is... he does this song better live then on the album version
Brent Hensley hahahah look at his face he knows it’s to fast why are you so defensive
The other version is overproduced, but this willie Nelson version is kinda fast.
@@secretagentman3858 It's called passion.
This needs to be recorded AS IS and produced without being ruined by Sturgill and his crap. This is perfection.

I don’t hate the sturgill production. Has an old Bruce Springsteen vibe to it.
