That was quite a range for 25 Mws. That kind of wastage generally works good for parking structure flying. Great for flying 3 or 4 quads simultaneously in a confined space. Minimal cross channel interference. Great flying. Enjoyable video. Neat little FPV bird. ;-)
I understand that you want to cover all the aspects of the quadcopter in your review . But, they are very long . I would suggest smaller more information packed reviews which can be watched in free time (10-15 min max).
Nice review, as always. Although, as you noted, your receiver is far too heavy for this. You can get some cheap FrSky micro receivers that weigh half the weight of the D4R. Plenty of other protocol options these days for micro receivers too, they are just getting smaller and smaller.
Do you have to buy anything special to get this to work with your Fat Shark goggles out of the box? I have a pair of Fat Sharks, but I would assume you need to connect a separate transmitter?
Hey Dustin - thanks for the video. I have two questions - first, I was planning to get a Spektrum DSMX receiver. Before I order it, I wanted to know if you see any potential issues with this receiver. www.amazon.com/Spektrum-DSMX-Quad-Receiver-Diversity/dp/B01ABV7K5A/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1474661462&sr=8-5&keywords=spektrum+dsmx+receiver Second question - I noticed you use google short links for the product. Are those links that Gearbest supplied you? Or are the affiliate links generated by their affiliate program? I'm curious because I would like to use a link shortener in my product links, but I have been told it's not a good idea if you are using affiliate links. Wondering what your thoughts are. Thanks and sorry for the long complicated question!
You might try Quanum Cyclops FPV Goggles. Nate Saylor reviewed them. He said they were OK.They will fit over glasses. 5" screen 800X480 resolution, 40 channel, one button channel seek. Non blue screen, Hobby King, $58.10 bit.Iy/1r4D4kn
+Don Fish Jr. (The Flying Fish) thanks Jr, I found it www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__104149__Quanum_Cyclops_FPV_Goggle_w_Integrated_Monitor_and_Receiver.html?strSearch=Quanum%20cyclops

Very nice house man, I like the layout with the big yards and all.
