Question; I haven't had the time to go thru all your vids yet, but maybe you might remember if you've ever made a review on any of Hudsan's micro quads....ie: X4 H107 series quads? I have the older X4 107D I enjoy ripping the skies up with (have the H107 & the H107C as well). I believe the 107D was their 1st FPV micro quad, but I wanted to see what your thoughts were on that little guy. I was considering buying the newest one, the FPV X4 PLUS H107D+. Found out that, even though he will bind to the older FPV monitor/tx, he does need the newer one since that one is equipped with alt hold tab, as one option I don't believe his older brother ever had. Let me know if you have & if so, do you got a link to it Sir? I just got my X252. I am checking it out before the first flight. When I flip the top left toggle ( not the one by red button) switch towards me, with throttle stick all the way down, it goes FULL up speed when in regular mode (green led in the rear legs) and FULL down thrust in 3D mode (red led in the rear leg). Is this normal? Also I can seem to record anything. I tried using a better sd card. I turn on the transmitter and just blip the throttle and press the red button... well nothing on the card. I could use a very comprehensive vid tutorial before flying this thing.
It wasn't long ago that a programmable transmitter would cost more than this complete package. A nice quality , brushless, fully 3D quad that includes FPV with good range , a pretty good wide angle camera, daylight readable LCD screen with foldable sunscreen and a Futaba compatible PG transmitter for just over 150 bucks - that's crazy. The long term durability remains to be seen, but with brushless motors this should have some staying power.

Nice review Dustin. With the x251, to achieve two different gyro settings, you flip the toggle switch next to the red button, not the dual rate button, for each setting (gyros on/off). Is it not the same for this quad? Can you fly the x252 with the x251 TX and use the same settings or does the x252 have to have different settings? hmmm... just curious. Thanks. DJ SOUL FORCE
DJ you can bind the X7 with both X251 and X252 but the 252 will have a collective rate with the 3d mode which the 251 doesnt have....I am sure Dustin can go into it more than I....DJ get on it get yourself a 252...I do have a extra one for sale if interested. Peace my brother

I'm having a blast with my X252 & though I've come a long way & seem to have gotten a hang of it, I feel that I still have a a bit more to go before my transition to flying 3D Mode. Any suggestions as to Which Point during My Progression should I start even considering any 3D Flight Attempts..?? ALSO, I've tried searching for INFO relative to 3D Flight Basics but have not found any Solid Leads so maybe you could share your thoughts on "HOW" to get started & Where to begin..? Well, any advise would be of great help so thanks in advance for that... Happy Holidays!
I'm enjoying your reviews. Very informative. If may I ask your opinion for my specific need. Out of what you have tested, what would you suggest to me, for my work which is to measure clients homes on the outside. I am looking for a drone that can fpv around the back of a home which I cannot have line of site, and need hd to read numbers off something small, like off electrical breakers in a power panel, when I review the footage later. Ofcourse using it for fun on outings wouldn't be ignored either. I just don't want to spend a thousand bucks.

Thanks Erland, X252 seems mor durable than the X251 but the FPV was a little laggy as seen in review. But at lease it still has the acro mode which the x251 does not anymore I hear.
I will crash sooner ore later,hehe but with the 251 I see more parts that can brake without hurting rest of the drone,and they are cheaper for me to buy in than with the design the 252 gives, where I have to buy the hole chassis if it brakes :-/ I can also do almost the same mods with theme both if I want to,so that's not an issue either luckely , but I will say the 252 looks a little better :-) I will stay away from the full acro-mode the first flights tho,hehe But why is it, do you think, that the controller with the 251 is more expensive than the 252's controller at banggood? :-o A slip from banggood? Hehe

Great informative review thanks. I just got this drone. Oddly, it doesn't want to lift off till a little over 50% throttle. Anyone, know if this is normal for this drone? If it isn't I may have to send it back my throttle curve is 0 25 45 65 100 Looks to be normal for other quads after reading RC groups. Maybe, ill just kick up the throttle curve to make myself more comfortable. ..

Excellent video! I love this quad it's so much fun, but I have to comment and say the FPV experience on this quad is downright disappointing. And after seeing your experience I know the camera on mine wasn't bad, it's just how it is. This was really hard for me to fly. Even w/o recording to SD card, there is terrible framerate lag and you can see fps drop / or what I consider high latency. The latency was killing me when trying to move fast at all and if you need to dodge anything it becomes a problem. I might be spoiled by fast FPV cameras like HS1177, but even a mobius and runcam are better than this camera. You're in a mostly wide open field as well... and the stream is breaking up quite badly at certain points. It failed my distance test as well, again, though, there were some obstacles but I expected better esp. since some micros I have outperformed this with respect to FPV.

I can't honestly recommend xk 252 shuttle for learning FPV. To me, the latency just killed the experience. What I CAN recommend, is $100 more, is the floureon 250 racer. This is a decent quad for the price and will get you started better with FPV. When you say 'learning fpv' what are your goals specifically? You might do better by buying a micro quad with fpv instead as well.

tsimonoke Check my channel's most recent video - JJRC H36 tiny whoop. It can be built VERY easily for $50 and is a lot of fun. I did a review of xk 252 on my channel you should look at as well where I talk about the latency issues and the failure to get good distance. I have an extremely good antenna setup but the results were miserable.

Hey I'm trying to set up the driver for a naze 32 in clean flight and I can't seem to find a folder option for my com ports in device manager to see if it worked or not for Windows 10 is there anything I may be doing wrong and I'm curious why there is not a com ports folder in my device manager ?
I just bought one of these drones. I've been having issues with the radio signal dropping out, sometimes for a split second and other times for multiple seconds. When it loses it I can sometimes recover, but it's crashed a few times due to this problem. Did you have any issues losing signal?
Yea, it happens at any distance. Just seems sporadic. I turned off the wifi in my house thinking that was maybe interfering with the signal. Still the same.. :-( I'm working with gearbest to hopefully exchange it. It's a fun little drone when it flew. Just not fun to watch it crash when the signal cuts out lol. I never had signal issues back I'm the 72mhz crystal days :-) Great review though btw..you were very thorough

Hey! Great video (as usual)! I'm subscribed so I'll watch out for your kid's announcement on the giveaway. I tried FPV about a year ago with a cheapo 5.8Ghz camera/tx and a small 5" screen on a Tarantula X6 but had trouble seeing the screen with the sun washing it out (not to mention my Mr. Magoo vision). I've seen pretty good reviews of the KDS Kylin FPV goggles which could make it more easy to fly FPV. Have you (or anyone here) tried them and how do they compare to the Fat Shark Dominator FPV goggles? Many thanks again for a really informative video.
Ooops! Darn! I didn't think of that. It appears it doesn't have DVR which is kinda silly when you think of it. For a measly $25 more or so, they could have added that and made a real winner. Oh well... I'll keep looking and hopefully, sometime before Christmas they'll have a model that includes that and I can put my order in to Santa.
Just looking for a X250A review video, and I found your videos. Really like the kind of the type of reviews that you done.. And, I think, X252 is better video camera... it's not jello like X250. Unfortunately, it's not available in Indonesia XD and it's more a hundred dollar from the X252 (it just too pricy for me XD) Btw. Like your style of reviewing the quality of the drone, even it's on the toy level..

Buy a set of spare props and find out who of them all are most equal in weight ;) It will help much on the jelly :) some are close to 2.05g and some of them are close to 2.10g ,if I remembered it right :)
Ok so I was just testing the Fpv latency and then the Fpv just stopped working the quad stopped I tried restarting it but now I can't fly it and I've tried binding but having trouble any suggestions?
Nvm I just left it for a bit and it works perfectly fine idk why but when something like this happened I just leave it for a bit take a break and then come back to it to fix it but it works so it makes it hard to show people what happened but I guess that's a good thing

Hey I have this quad (xk x252) and I was curious about a recommendation for fpv googles fat sharks are a little pricy for me any recomendations? preferred with built in receiver Do not care about Dvr just looking for decent quality googles for fpv flying with decent signel reception (love screen fpv but still a virgin to the goggles i feel if would I get goggles it would help me become a much better fpv pilot... Glare already caused some oooo shit moments lol
+Alex Dalton Hey Alex get a set that has at least a 32 channel built in receiver so you can tune into most any quad with FPV. There are there are many to choose from which fit your style. The links I put for the quad will take you to sites that have a selection of goggles.
+Joshua Phillips The site I linked has a ton of cheaper options to choose from. I would browse around and see what form factor you like..there are also cheaper fatshark models with less bells & whistles :)

You were in 3D mode, which inverts the flight. So, don't do that unless you know how to fly in 3D mode (which again, allows it to fly upside down)

great demo,I have one of these also,fun quad,not so great for f[v I have also found.Overall though it is a cool quad with lots of features.

+Todd Hansen Hey Todd. The x251 doesn't do 3d and they discontinued the Acro capability bit seems get the x252 or x100. Both do 3d and Acro :)

I like xk 252 as it has brushless motors and seems pretty good quality. When checking other reviews there's no much FPV latency, but as I'm beginner I probably didn't notice all the details. What micro quad would you recommend. I somehow got hooked on xk 252 from start :)
tsimonoke Check my channel's most recent video - JJRC H36 tiny whoop. It can be built VERY easily for $50 and is a lot of fun. I did a review of xk 252 on my channel you should look at as well where I talk about the latency issues and the failure to get good distance. I have an extremely good antenna setup but the results were miserable.

Hey I'm trying to set up the driver for a naze 32 in clean flight and I can't seem to find a folder option for my com ports in device manager to see if it worked or not for Windows 10 is there anything I may be doing wrong and I'm curious why there is not a com ports folder in my device manager ?
It's too bad the camera isn't tillable. Seems like my LaTrax Alias, but has FPV.
I just bought one of these drones. I've been having issues with the radio signal dropping out, sometimes for a split second and other times for multiple seconds. When it loses it I can sometimes recover, but it's crashed a few times due to this problem. Did you have any issues losing signal?
+ktrent24 no issues for me. Does it happen at any distance? Perhaps interference or just defective product.
Yea, it happens at any distance. Just seems sporadic. I turned off the wifi in my house thinking that was maybe interfering with the signal. Still the same.. :-( I'm working with gearbest to hopefully exchange it. It's a fun little drone when it flew. Just not fun to watch it crash when the signal cuts out lol. I never had signal issues back I'm the 72mhz crystal days :-) Great review though btw..you were very thorough

I tried FPV about a year ago with a cheapo 5.8Ghz camera/tx and a small 5" screen on a Tarantula X6 but had trouble seeing the screen with the sun washing it out (not to mention my Mr. Magoo vision). I've seen pretty good reviews of the KDS Kylin FPV goggles which could make it more easy to fly FPV. Have you (or anyone here) tried them and how do they compare to the Fat Shark Dominator FPV goggles?

Thanks Robert. I have not tried the Kylin goggles sorry. I like the FS Dominators built in DVR. Not sure if the Kylin's have that?
Ooops! Darn! I didn't think of that. It appears it doesn't have DVR which is kinda silly when you think of it. For a measly $25 more or so, they could have added that and made a real winner. Oh well... I'll keep looking and hopefully, sometime before Christmas they'll have a model that includes that and I can put my order in to Santa.

And, I think, X252 is better video camera... it's not jello like X250. Unfortunately, it's not available in Indonesia XD and it's more a hundred dollar from the X252 (it just too pricy for me XD)
Btw. Like your style of reviewing the quality of the drone, even it's on the toy level..

Buy a set of spare props and find out who of them all are most equal in weight ;) It will help much on the jelly :) some are close to 2.05g and some of them are close to 2.10g ,if I remembered it right :)

Ok so I was just testing the Fpv latency and then the Fpv just stopped working the quad stopped I tried restarting it but now I can't fly it and I've tried binding but having trouble any suggestions?
Nvm I just left it for a bit and it works perfectly fine idk why but when something like this happened I just leave it for a bit take a break and then come back to it to fix it but it works so it makes it hard to show people what happened but I guess that's a good thing

Hey I have this quad (xk x252) and I was curious about a recommendation for fpv googles fat sharks are a little pricy for me any recomendations? preferred with built in receiver Do not care about Dvr just looking for decent quality googles for fpv flying with decent signel reception (love screen fpv but still a virgin to the goggles i feel if would I get goggles it would help me become a much better fpv pilot... Glare already caused some oooo shit moments lol
+Alex Dalton Hey Alex get a set that has at least a 32 channel built in receiver so you can tune into most any quad with FPV. There are there are many to choose from which fit your style. The links I put for the quad will take you to sites that have a selection of goggles.
