Although the Griffon is a good 10+ litres larger than the Merlin it just doesn't sound as nice.
@H-M-2025 I prefer the Griffon personally,but the Merlin does have that distinctive sound though.
I've always been partial to a clipped-wing cannon Spit.They just look mean.
Now that’s a hot rod.
