I've just gotten grumpier as I age. Airshows are the chance to watch the planes and hear the engines. I'm so disappointed to either have a loudspeaker narrator reading a needless script, or have to hear spectators saying something utterly meaningless and unnecessary. I live under the flight path of Long Beach, CA airport & when Wings Over Long Beach used to be presented, or the Collings Foundation would come to town, I'd sit in my back yard, content. Right, I'm done. Sorry.
THIS!! Is like an early Christmas present! Thank you! The aircraft off the starboard wing of the P-47, that is a Hawker Fury 1:07 Or perhaps a Sea Fury? I know the other one is the F8 Bearcat. The PBY Catalina was a nice surprise. 10:08. And, though it took 84 years.... Leigh-Mallory finally assembled his Big Wing on time. 🤭😉
There I was waiting for the big ending and what shows up a “Hun in the sun!” Mind you the Spits were soon after him - he didn’t stand a chance not at odds of about 20:1 - he was a gonna! Good video unusual setting for Duxford - enjoyed it!
Like how you noticed that, I put him in there as a flex and then bosh all the Spits come in and he's gone hehe Pleased to know you enjoyed this - plenty more to come!

Prefer the chest shaking adrenaline you get from the typhoon afterburners myself, but spitfires are cool.
We get Lancaster spitfire hurricane fly over our village every time there's an airshow.always gives me a rush of pride when I hear those merlin roar
It never fails to surprise me just how fragile and delicate the landing gear on a F8f Bearcat looks!
