The two Spits in the opening sequence were actual Battle of Britain survivors if I remember correctly. Cool to wee that one of them has the black wing/white wing configuration something often overlooked .
I had the pleasure of being here and that Saab B17 had to be the most impressive thing there. Watching the pilot effortlessly throw that thing around the way he did, I realised "hang on, this is a DIVE BOMBER" and it was performing the same manoeuvres that fighters do at low altitude. What an absolute beast that thing is
Huge thanks to all who contribute, cash, skill or whatever, to keep these 80 odd year old machines where they belong and where they can be appreciated.... in the air.
You not seen ‘Battle of Britain’ [1969] then? 😮 No CGI... just few r/c models... a few dummy aircraft... a few airworthy Spitfire’s & Hurricane’s... a few from the Spanish Air Force replicating Bf109’s & He111’s [built under licence after WW2]... and an ex-USAAF bomber [converted and used as an aerial platform] filming the dogfight scenes, etc. 😉
I just left a comment on the 2009 one and subscribed!! Wow you all do an amazing job on your videos!! Keep it up.....
A thousand high fives for including the airplane type in the timelines. It is very helpful.
That's awesome, we can't forget all those who served and those who gave their lives for us. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

I was there. Cracking show and a well filmed video
Blimey, that Typhoon can 'wiggle'! Sure miss the happy days when I had a car and could afford to go to Duxford.

Well that's a different B17 to the one we usually see 😀
Did one of the Hurricanes that took off for the Balbo have an undercarriage issue? Looked like it wouldn't retract fully.
イスパノメッサーも結構小回り出来ますね!
Beautiful, just pure beauty. It may be costly, but a real ww2 movie can be made again without all the cg or ai & green screen HOOHA
