    Being an Ergohuman V2 owner, I can definitely say the quality of the chair is extremely high. However, if you are transitioning from a gaming chair with a flat back or you have no experience with lumber support at all you may want to try before you buy. Even thou the strength of lumber support is adjustable... Imo, it can still be pretty aggressive.

  • @Krackerjax

    Hey Greg. Thanks to your video on this chair two weeks ago, I went ahead and purchased one from your website as I was/am actively searching for a new chair. I tried an Aeron and I think I prefer the Ergohuman. It's not even a price/budget thing. Id like it more if they were both $0!
    Funny thing to note. The only thing I don't like about it is the one thing you seem to really love: The arm rests moving with you when you recline. It makes it so that you can't recline even a tiny bit and continue to use your mouse/keyboard. Because the arm rests angle upwards and dig into your forearms.
    Also, ive had it for two weeks and I still can't quite find the right settings for me. I end up trying a new seat depth, backrest height, and lumbar strength combination daily. Did it take you some time to find the right settings for you?

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  7 месяцев назад +1

      That is awesome. Thank you for the business and feedback!
      Just out of curiosity, how far are you attempting to recline in the chair and continue to use your keyboard and mouse?
      Maybe the only downside to so many adjustments :) Trying to find that perfect fit. I sat in the all mesh and then the combination of mesh/leather Ergohuman for years. Jumping into the new one was like riding a bike. Didn't take much to get it dialed in.
      The only part of the chair that I'm still messing with a bit is the lumbar strength. Sometimes I like a little more tension and other days not as much. Not sure i'll have an exact setup for it I use everyday in the future. Hopefully that helps!
      -Greg

    • @Krackerjax
      @Krackerjax 7 месяцев назад

      @@btodtv The chair has a total of 4 positions, if you include the default/upright mode. So, in position 2 of 4, the least reclined setting, the arm rests already begin to dig into my arms. Its not the most painful thing ever, but its also not a pleasant feeling. I can either take the pain, or I have to go through the process of lowering the armrests a few notches to sort of match the front of the arm rest with my desk. Which, as much as I do love these arm rests (very plush!), it is a pain in the butt to adjust the height. Or, should I say, to at least match each side to ensure they are at the same height. Though I know the Aeron has the same issues, as the arm rests follow your arms in a similar fashion.
      Also, I can never tell if my bottom is sitting on the seat correctly. I do try to ensure my legs are the proper distance from the front of the seat. But Im not sure how far the rear side of my bottom, towards the tail bone area, should be hanging off the edge? I had a similar issue when I tried a Steelcase Leap V2 (points to the Leap V2 for its arm rests not following the recline, so they don't hit me strangely like the Ergohuman does). I couldn't tell at what point "too much was too much" in terms of your bottom hanging off the rear end of the seat. Its a rather strange feeling, as most chairs don't have a gaping hole in that area (such as an Aeron). Perhaps I am overthinking all of this haha.

Regarding the shoulders its a bit tricky...so, if you set the Backfit knob AND the tilt tension knob at max settings, i do feel the top of the backrest pressing over my shoulders but not that much, still, imo, not a great settings because it is the opposite for which this chair is designed for. Flexibility and movement.
      It doesn't push me forward too much, i've always the feeling of the backrest supporting me and not the opposite, me pushing into the backrest.
      I would say the seat is good mix between firm and comfy/cushion like material. Is like sitting on a slim latex mattress with springs underneath. It is softer than the Ergohuman.
      Yeah the back its kinda weird in the beginning and i get why...that feeling comes from the lower part of the backrest, around the lumbar area, right behind the spine...its normal the first few days (like 3/4 for me) but i don't feel it anymore. The embody gets quite hot and really fast too. Especially the sit. Not really a problem if you have AC on but keep that in mind too. Its ok for me in my room at 27C and 35% humidity. But above that i get a bit uncomfortable.
