Excellent tip on the Nightflight fairing. I am just finishing restoring my '85 V65 Sabre and will be getting that fairing and do the matched paint. It is a factory design grade look and appears to provide some wind protection for a bike that is an easy all day sport touring bike.
I owned one when I was 20. I modified a Kerker 4 into 1 custom fit. It needed to be jetted the mod was looked & sounded cool, however it lost a little torque. Great days!
Axel Buckets It’s going to be really heavy compared to what you’re used to. I like a lighter bike even if it means giving up a little power. It is an awesome high speed bomber and streetlight bruiser. If you’re looking for something to commute on and consistently ride around town, it’s a little cumbersome at 570lb.
Mikael Vroom thanks for such a fast response I’ve never ridden such a heavy machine but there’s a local ad for one for $800 I may just purchase fix and sell it for a profit if I don’t love it. Where do you buy parts for it?
Axel Buckets The local Honda dealership is actually a decent source and can get most parts in a day or two. I like them for OEM gaskets and seals and such. V4hondabbs.com has good info too. I bought mine complete and in good shape for $1300, sold it for $2750. $800 seems like a good deal if it’s complete, running, and titled!
Mikael Vroom yeah I’m having a hard time deciding if I want to purchase this one, it’s clean body, clean title with 23k miles 1 owner but it sat for a year so it’s not running but it was 12 months ago. I’m pretty mechanically inclined but I do fear that it could something more than just a carb clean to get it going. But I want a bike so bad. It’s literally my dream, I wouldn’t be commuting every day on it maybe the occasional mid week after work ride and then the Saturday cruise into the office and up the canyon. I think it could be a great opportunity! Besides I can always turn around and sell it for my cost.
@@mikaelvroom1997 I would be curious to see how plates were in your SuperTrapp slipons. I have 10 plates in the SuperTrapps that my bike came with and had a lean spot between 3k and 5k revs. I fixed that with a Dynojet Stage 1 kit.
Aaaaand now I'm gonna go buy one
Edit: I bought a red 1982 V45 sabre with the faring and luggage rack. It's a dream

where can i get the carburettor set?

Is that a nighthawk or cb1100f fairing? It makes the bike.
theoriginalmungaman It’s a Rifle Nightflight fairing. Looks good on the rectangle-headlight bikes!
HOW in the World do you get your bike up to 10k rpm? I can barely get mine to 6k and I'm afraid to push any harder.....
Are you sure you've got thesame bike? Aren't there a 750 and 1100 model?
@@keaponlaffin6737there is actually 3 for the V4 models for the 82-86 years. V30 500cc, v45 750cc and V65 1100cc.
Mikael
got two of them
can you help me with manuals for v65?
Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
I have ridden 250 & 450 dirt bikes a lot, I have only ridden a 400 on road though, would you recommend this bike to someone like me?

How many rings do you have on the trapps? you need at least 12 to get a decent sound to it
Sounds like your V65 needs a valve adjustment
Where did you find an exhaust for it
Where can I find that type of a fairing?
rifle.com/Nightflight-Fairing-for-Rectangular-Headlight-P1905.aspx
That’s my bike, I’m doin it
I need the carburettor set
Did you have rejet it?
Nope! Kept the stock h-pipe so stock jets worked well.
Hey just curious where did you get that fairing from and the stripe for it or is the red stripe just painted in?
Steven Jordan It’s a Rifle Nightflight - came with the bike. I painted it myself to match the rest of the bike.
