  • First want to say thanks to my friend in Australia Spector Oz for giving me the confidence to do this after watching him do his. He had the commercial kit I made mine out of stuff I already had here. The connector came out of an old dead CBI had the wire header came out of old computer parts that I had. Easy and straightforward. I can take it on field expeditions without having to take an inverter with me.

    Very resourceful parts sourcing there RR good job! I had those small fan headers too but mine were all on short cable runs (PC video card fans), I have since found such small headers (as I opted for) being used for a 12v supply connection in modern alarm panels.
    Appreciate the shout out and the DIY update, your R1000 will run so much cooler now...

    The R1000 comes standard with DC input.
