Some weird complaints on the Yamaha about the bars and pegs. Everyone changes the position of the bars when they buy a bike. I went from the 125 to a 2006 KX450F which was a blast to ride because it had such violent power and handled nicely and I kicked some serious arse on it just like I did with my 125 but being able to just burp the throttle and jump everything I pointed the front wheel at made me feel like I was cheating. I think when I go back to racing I'll be getting a 250F because I prefer the fun of just running a bike hard and the challenge of using the gears instead of just leaving it in a single gear like a 450

So would a 2020 husky fc 250 be good for a small, light novice rider it sounds like the suspension would be a lot better for lighter riders. I’m debating if I should get a 2020 fc 250 I’m on a Yamaha yz 125 right now and wanting to go to a 250 I’m 15, 5ft 5 and only 120 pounds so I’m thinking the husky will be a good choice,

Thanks for the honest and informative reviews, Michael (and riders/staff). Michael, I was wondering what your stance/feelings are on the dual mufflers for the Honda. They are the only manufacturer who has done this. It's been around for a while now... what are the pro's and cons?
Micheal - My Kid currently rides a 17 KX 250F(which he loves) but we are considering going to the Yamaha due to strong dealer support locally. He is 6'0 tall and about 155-160 lbs. Do you think the Yamaha will be to cramped for him? trying to line up a test ride on the new YZ to see how he likes it but thought I would get your opinion. He is a fast B rider in skill level and is very aggressive (flat landing, hammering everything) We can always stick with the Kawi. I am in between the 2. Any feedback or advice you can give?
I just bought the honda 250r and Im coming from a ktm 2 stroke and the clutch pull is just destroying me. Do the WC levers help that much or is it best to go with a hydraulic clutch? I havnt tried lubing the cable but it has 5 hours on it, Is it possible it came from the factory a little short on lube? idk maybe im just finger weak
Is the 20' KX250 stock suspension too soft for a slow old vet that's 200lbs with gear? I had a 2015 and the suspension felt really soft. I dont know if it was just me or I'm just terrible with the adjustment?
I have a conundrum for you, but first...another great shootout thank you Michael. Your honest, independent and knowledgeable insights are greatly appreciated. Now to my question, I'm currently on a YZ250X, which I'd like to sell to get a 4 stroke. I'm 6 feet tall & 195 lbs with gear, novice vet and ride 70% track and 30% trail (no racing, just fun). I'm considering a 2019 YZ250F or KTM 350 SXF. I'm wondering if the 250F will feel underpowered after my 250 2 stroke. I'm also thinking the YZF's suspension may be better than the SXF's for me. If you get a chance, I'd appreciate your thoughts, no worries if you're too busy. :)
I love the 350 for anyone who is balancing trail riding and moto. Yes, the suspension isn't as dialed in on the KTM but with some tweaking it can be damn good. But the extra displacement is so good for that mix of riding.
Even tho im never gonna buy a new bike i still enjoy watching these. Great work

Alrhght mate. I got a yzf250 2017 and looking at a 2020 crf250 or yzf I can’t make my mind up. I’ve always like the Hondas think there amazing bikes but you do Hear that they are not as fast as other bikes. Is this a problem? What do they ride like ? Speed etc as wanna hear from other people before I make a decision. I’m a 6ft 1 or 2 rider
i’m trying to decide between the 2020 honda crf 250r and the 2020 ktm 250sx-f any advice would be greatly appreciated
I am an intermediate MX Rider
As I said I have a 2016 KTM 250 and a Honda 450L love the power and grunt the KTM has but the Honda is a stronger bike and more comfortable so overall I would be going Honda my guy !
I love your content. You just have a great attitude man.
So would a 2020 husky fc 250 be good for a small, light novice rider it sounds like the suspension would be a lot better for lighter riders. I’m debating if I should get a 2020 fc 250 I’m on a Yamaha yz 125 right now and wanting to go to a 250 I’m 15, 5ft 5 and only 120 pounds so I’m thinking the husky will be a good choice,
Lindsay- are you going to do any more testing now? Miss this level of analysis.
When is there going to be a 125 and 250 2 stroke 2020 shootout
I'm just gonna wait till the 2021 Kawi 250 comes out with all the bells and whistles of the KX450 if I can save up enough for a down payment. My 09 Kawi 250 I do really like cuz it handles really good for me in deep corner ruts but its carbureted and runs like trash
Sad Bois Only I had an 09 KX250F...I put so many hours on that thing 😅
@@MichaelLindsay well uhhhhh im having some issues trying to get it not be like sputtery when you're cruising. Should I get an aftermarket accelerator pump or try some different jetting?
I reckon the Honda or Kawasaki is good for me but I don’t know y I’m doin this because I’m stuck on a ttr125
I got a used 200xcw. Any tips to make it better for motocross besides suspension? It bought it redone for a "mix between mx and hare scramble" I dont know whats "redone" about it but besides that any way to make it feel better on the track?
Thanks for the honest and informative reviews, Michael (and riders/staff). Michael, I was wondering what your stance/feelings are on the dual mufflers for the Honda. They are the only manufacturer who has done this. It's been around for a while now... what are the pro's and cons?
Love this! ❤️
Think I'm going for a Honda... It looks so good.....
I really like the Honda always had Honda but is it really worth the 8 grand?
Good job ml
If I want a 250 but only trail ride would a rmz be the way to go cuz the price?
Any Problems with the CRF250r starting? Looking to buy and am curious.
Any feedback or advice you can give?
never mind i bought a KX
I just bought the honda 250r and Im coming from a ktm 2 stroke and the clutch pull is just destroying me. Do the WC levers help that much or is it best to go with a hydraulic clutch? I havnt tried lubing the cable but it has 5 hours on it, Is it possible it came from the factory a little short on lube? idk maybe im just finger weak
Is the 20' KX250 stock suspension too soft for a slow old vet that's 200lbs with gear? I had a 2015 and the suspension felt really soft. I dont know if it was just me or I'm just terrible with the adjustment?
I think I’m gonna get the RMZ I’m new to the sport so this maybe what I need.
First bike ??
Great choice, very capable bike
2020 125 shootout ??
Love your channel! Thank you! Have always rode a Yamaha so if I was buying a new bike that’d be it. Lol. Blue all day every day
I just bought a TTR 225 trail bike but wished I bought a new 250R.
I got a 19 Crf250r last week for a steal off the showroom. Looking like I made a good choice!
Nothing like a brand new leftover
All dirt bike are made in Japan/Europe?
Great job!
the yamaha suspension too soft? for what rider weight?
RMZ for the win.
if you are a weekend rider choose your favorite color
My favorite shootout! Are you planning on a 2021 shootout? Yes
Yz or kx are the best! I do love rm so much though
@@MichaelLindsay legend, thanks Michael. 😁
I wish I have any bike someday 🙏🏼
No bike break down videos?
How come the rmz 250. Last again.
Great video! thanks for the awesome info
