The fact that you were able to find these core, running themes that are consistent in nearly a century's worth of comics across hundreds of writers and creative teams is incredible. It makes these comics, a medium derided for having an impenetrable barrier of constant retcons and reboots feel like one continuing unbroken narrative where everything has been exactly planned out from the very start. But I guess you can't cover everything, and you clearly put in a lot of work for this excellent video!
If I could offer a bit of constructive criticism, I think putting the writers and artists in the corner of the screen when their work appears would be more effective than just having them all at the end. This video was my introduction to your channel. I watch a lot of similar content on other channels, and I think you bring something different to this YT genre than other creators. First, the overall flow of your own dialogue supplemented with scenes from god-only-knows how many comics was outstanding. Seriously-- bravo for retelling of the entire history of the freaking Batman in a concise and easy to follow narrative. The quality of your editing-- the intentional pauses to insert a wry comment or make a joke-- was really well done. Your commentary was often laugh-out-loud funny, but deftly done in a way that still complemented the story rather than distracting from it. I appreciated the obvious depth of your knowledge and the research that must have gone into this project. I'm excited to dig into the rest of your videos and explore more of your stories.
(Any of my future comments will be less "high school book review" and more "nerdy comic book nerd having fun being a nerd about comics" 😀.)

I have watched several of your videos, but this one…..this video was the one that earned yourself another subscriber. 👍🏻👍🏻 As a Batman fan for as long as I can remember, this recap/review/analysis of Batman’s 85 year comic book history is one of the most definitive videos on this iconic character that I have ever watched. It has made me love and appreciate Batman and his larger mythos even more now, so thank you for that. 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻 And Happy 85th Anniversary, Dark Knight! Here is to the future! 👍🏻👍🏻🔥🔥🦇🦇

I've read every batman comic from 1939-2005 so far and most of the stuff since then. Putting something like this together is no small feat, and you did a great job highlighting the most important bits. The two things that struck me most reading it for myself, is how virtually every important core aspect of batman is present within the first two years, or at least during the golden age. Secondly, the beginning of engleharts batman run in the late 70's was the first time I went, 'holy shit, this is the first appearance of the modern batman.' It's an utter tragedy he wasn't on the book longer.

You’ll begin to realize there’s two distinct eras of Batman, split completely down the middle. There’s the Detective Era and the Hero Era.
The Detective Era consists of Batman’s early years as a mysterious vigilante. Where he solves crimes, and puts fear into criminals and the public sees him as a urban legend. His only sidekicks were Dick Grayson Robin, and Barbara Gordon Batgirl. His supervillains started popping up and has a shaky relationship with the Police with the exception of Jim Gordon.
The Hero Era consists of Batman joining The Justice League, getting involved big scale, end of the world, cosmic adventures. Gaining an entire pantheon of sidekicks, and becoming the prep time having, keeping secret files on his friends because paranoid mentality, always one step ahead, OP Batgod himself.

I think the Arkham games find a good balance with that. You still have the detective and fear side of things, with the grand scale and pantheon of side kicks, albeit no Justice League or really anyone outside of the Bat Family, but still.
