- In ancient Chinese culture and history, the Street Peddlers or Wanderers (Beggars) played an important role. They were well known for their martial arts prowess. Some of their systems were brought into Malaysia; for example, Spider Fist, Feng Yang Five Animals Fist, etc.
Hakka Tiger Fist is one of these obscure styles brought in by Hakka migrants who came from China to settle down in West Malaysia (Peninsular Malaya).
This style has lost a lot of its original patterns. Sifu James Lee Peek-Kuan picked it up from one of his Ninjutsu (Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu) students. He systemized, expanded on the system, as well as consolidated the strategies and techniques.
