Remember to play the long game. We over estimate what we can do in the short term, and underestimate what we can do in the long term. A great concept to reflect on as one decade ends and another decade begins.
My secret to personal achievement is understanding the purpose behind why I do the things I do. This has given me so much drive to keep pushing, even when things seem stagnant. Keep working hard =)
I gave this a like before I watched it because I want more of this stuff to pop up in my feed - afterwards of course, I wasn’t disappointed. This is gold and everyone watching knows at least one other person who could benefit from it.
Take one step back and ask: Which kind of goals should I have? Money, fame, six packs etc. are very materialistic, selfish and intrinsically hollow goals. If you achieve them, you feel you need to achieve something else; if you don't achieve them, you feel dissatisfied and unfulfilled. Try this for a meaningful and fulfilling life: 1. Have values based Goals: I should be this much honest, I should have that much integrity 2. Have habit based goals: I should wake up early, eat healthy, be peaceful. 3. Have others focused goals: I should help my company to help its clients do that, I should feed x people this week, cloth someone this months, educate 1 more kid this year, reduce pollution by x amount. Throw yourself wholeheartedly in worthy pursuits for a lifetime, be a devotee, stop fretting about what you will receive, what results you will get, how good you will look, and see the peace in your life. Chose fulfillment over comfort
My goal in life is to earn a Ph.D. in Astrophysics. Had I realized this goal while I was still in high school I would probably be working on that Ph.D. now instead of sitting here jobless and depressed as a college drop out. I'm 24 and tired of feeling like shit all the time and going absolutely nowhere in my life. For the past 3 years now I've been stuck in this loop of making great progress then I get depressed and go right back to square -5. I'm tired of letting myself down every single year. Doing anything while depressed is difficult but I'm not letting that stop me anymore. I'm going to punch my way through this mental wall until my knuckles bleed. Anyway, I'm glad I found this channel because it's adding structure to my goals. Now I just have to act, stay focus and follow through till the end.
Time flies by so fast, everyday is all about what you are doing to get yourself to that endpoint, youre life will never be the same as long as you remain focused. Thank you for inspiring me bro
My parents were christians. Its hard to explain stuffs like this to them. Its hard to defend yourselves when they don't even try to understand what you are trying to say. They were all "God knows what's best. You should pray, go to church for guidance blah blah." Im fully aware that I shouldn't have this victim mentality as it would only drag me deeper into depression. I've been 'afraid' ever since highschool. I grew up always following where my parents point out. Im now an adult and no one points to somewhere anymore. I grew up dependent and was too afraid to be venture alone in the society now. I've been struggling but at the very least I try my hardest not to entertain negative thoughts anymore. Even when writing now... I still can't help but allow fragments of negativity inside me. Its evident from my earlier sentences....
Know your struggle is shared man, maybe not the same, but I have the same problems. I was an amazing student, crushed everything. Went to college and was doing great. One medical issue later, my whole life ruined. I'm now semi homeless in the woods. I'm finally pushing out, and these videos help extensively for the mentality to continue.
Sometimes I just think that it doesn't matter at all. I mean our goals; we work hard for them and we waste our lives trying to achieve them :) In the end we just die... With peace or without peace. So I think we should usually do what we like.
@@808Efe thank you for reminding me how much I changed. Now I keep struggling and doing multiple jobs and side hustles at the same time. Also started gym, its been 10 months now

About setting Goals there's a quote from Seneca: “If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable.”
Very wise words

What is a goal without a plan anyway?

Just honest thoughts. I just want to release these thoughts from my head even not verbally. Its okay to cringe or hate it

I'm really impressed with these videos, thank you for taking the time to put them together! Meat is however a very inefficient way of getting protein.
