I mean, i prefer this way then adding some unique vehicle locked without playing another nation.
I would rather have the battlepasses to be full of unique vehicles, because this is already a third p51 we are getting from the battlepass which is annoying, ofc I wanted sweden to get a heavy tank but putting it behind a paywall is just sad, same for Italy with Tigris. Gaijin should make battlepass vehicles something new and fun (doesnt have to be overpowered) and add vehicles that a county needs INTO the tech tree, not a premium. Plus return 4 vehicles in the battlepass!!
Or at least make it for GE. Giving away 20+ USD for one vehicle (and nothing else) aint cutting it, and tiger II isnt some kind of unique, one-off prototype vehicle, like previous events at least TIRED to do (badly, but at least something we didnt had before like recon variant of P51).
Something like the Emil/Kranvagn tanks would be interesting as he said in the video.
At least Italy still has a chance of getting a heavy tank through the Hungarian IS-2s, but i completely agree with you - if a tree only has one option for a heavy tank, it should be in the tree.
One of the issues with the decision to add the Swedish tiger is you get into bad territory with it. It's great that Sweden will get a good heavy tank, but historically speaking, they never used it in service and only used it for testing purposes. When you start making exceptions to that, where a nation gets another nation's vehicle under these circumstances, you open a whole new box of issues. If you start using that logic, nations like the US would receive dozens of foreign vehicles that they tested. It's a dangerous precedent to set.

This isn’t a new precedent, BOTH top tier helicopters in Sweden were never used by them, they were brought in as a trial along with a few other modern helicopters and none were purchased
And I don’t really mind it, yes it makes the tech trees more unoriginal but otherwise Sweden just doesn’t get a top tier helicopter
This is a different situation though where there WAS a Swedish made heavy tank called the Emil that they could’ve added, but 1. Gaijin is lazy, and 2. There’s very little info on it and only a hull was ever built
But.... it would mean more content for WT......... more tanks, especially interesting ones I wouldn't mind being added. I have every nation MAXED both Air and ground except italy and Israel as I never bothered to play them. I always unlock a new vehicle and play it because I have hundreds in all my others.(edit) I actually don't have China maxed as my highest in air is 5.7, and ground 11.7 but only the ztz99a and tor. My point is that I don't think extra content is bad. It will be fine as long as they are balanced and the great thing about that is they usually are or will be as the issue right now for War Thunder is nations not have a good lineup..... andddddd guess how you fix that! more stuff being added...
I hope you do know that Sweden already has a few of tested foreign vehicles right? like their T80U and MI-28.
they will add the most obscure and redundant soviet experimental tanks, but will not add 1 experimental tank to minor nations
They could have easily just given Sweden the Kranvagn or one of the Emils, an actual indigenous heavy tank
Turret never existed for those tanks and the gun it self the 155mm seems very insane for what they thought it could do.

@@DawgIVLife There are entire vehicles that can't possibly exist in this game, yet they still are researchable, I don't think "the turret never existed" is a viable excuse. As far as the gun goes, Gaijin has, often balanced vehicles by either nerfing entire shells because there wasn't any replacement, or if there was giving them the lesser round. While it is a better excuse, its still not a good one.
I'm not against copy-paste vehicles in the Battlepass, its the fact that the Swedish King Tiger was NEVER even used or considered for service. It was bought post-war for evaluation, and then used as a range target. That's like Gaijin opening the door to give almost every vehicle to every nation that's ever used a range target.
They clearly don't care about giving everyone access to everything considering the Heavy Tanks being premium, so the reason for them to add a vehicle this controversial is $$. Typical Gaijin.
Hopfully we get the Strv KRV as a heavy tank for sweden as it has the considert status on the forum
E-100 and Radkampfwagen also were never fully made so why draw the line at the Krv and not them
This is the kind of thing that they won't fix unless almost the entire community asks to do it (and that's probably never gonna happen)
i think they should have just given finland a kv1 also other things id like to see added is a up armored t50, some stugs, isu152, bt5 and bt7 to sweden/finland
for Italy/Hungary we could get IS-2 which Hungary used and IS-3 which Hungary captured during 1956.
With Hungary they do have some more choices would be nice if they would have added at least 1 heavy tank during that update that was tech tree
Italy can possibly have another Tiger. A suggestion had been made that Italy should be given a Tiger H1 because Italian crews trained on a Tiger to familiarize them for a possible lend lease or licensing agreement. It’s a bit thin but can be justified imo to give Italy a Tiger outside of the Tigris.
Same logic could be applied to the Japanese tech tree as well.

Sweden are going to get a Finnish KV-1 (1942) with vast turret. Let's hope it's not a premium.
as you said, I am very excited to see the Tiger 2 in the Swedish tech tree. While the premium heavy tanks are a problem I am quite happy with this battle pass because being able to have my 2 favorite tanks (bkan1c and Tiger 2) in the same line up will be amazing
I would also distinguish between an premium vehicle in the game and a vehicle from the battle pass, which has to be made and paid for, etc., and people in the future will have to buy this battle pass vehicle for a lot of money at gaijin market.
Gaijin will now simply think about what to add in events and battle passes, they also know very well that a lot of people are attracted mainly by vehicles from World War 2 and the surrounding area, so they will mainly add them to battle passes because they force you to play the game for the longest time if you want some vehicle, plus you must pay for this battle pass.
well they need to make money somehow. Also I would love if they would bring in and back experimental and other vehicles such as the panther 2. As a matter of fact I would love to see them bring in the me262hg which was a design that was meant to improve the me262
I would love to see some new vehicles of other classes. Like some new SPAAs would be fun, or some new heavy bombers instead of just copy and paste vehicles.
Reminds me of when the French wanted a ifv so they added a premium then said a Tec tree one would come. That was over a year ago and still nothing.
It is a bit sad that the only thing stopping much more fleshed out and coherent tech trees for minor nations is paper tanks and prototypes. I would love them to add that kind of stuff provided they have enough information to implement them into the game. Imagine the Emil’s, the Japanese super heavies, and Chinese heavy tanks. I think it would breathe life into these trees in and around the mid-tier. Just IMO.

I mean these are vehicles already in the game without paying for them, I get that grinding kinda sucks but if you want to play a Kingtiger just play Germany and get it for free, and not every nation needs to have "parity" they just need to have competitive picks that allow you to have a fighting chance, they don't NEED heavy tanks which is proven by the fact Sweeden is already a highly competitive nation without heavies, they just offer a different playstyle to Germany for example which is more heavy tank oriented in mid tiers, which Japan and Sweden focus more on mediums with good guns and mobility (generally) plus these tanks are one off tanks or rare tanks hence being premium (though I'm sure there are examples of one off/rare tanks that are in the tech tree)

Probably a bug. Sometimes cosmetic items move around when Gaijin changes something.
For that tank the gun shroud is modeled so you could place a bush on it.

well, I only bought 90 days of premium time so far and have ~1000 hours in ~2 years of playing this game and havent bought any premiums, so I did exactly that.
task for SPAA kills? Sweeden L62 because it's op (i had the zis 43 but it went to rank 2)
task for SPGs kills? russian ASU-57 or a germany lineup of only SPGs
task for heavy tank kills? French ARL 44 CL-1
task for light/medium kills? Italy 3.7
I prefer low tier 3.7 - 4.7. Beyond that is terrible maps, everyone bushed up, many 1 death leavers etc. I have most nations leveled up to 6.7, but I prefer a lower BR
Just give us
1. IS-3M both the Egypt or Israel
2. IS variant with 85mm and 100mm
3. IF you can put LOSAT, why not the TOS-1A?
4. Other vehicle from other nation in Cold War era (hungary, iran, Egypt, sudan, etc)
5. Need new variant on rank 8... We already have merkava mk 5, AMOS (finnish), STRYKER, and many more...
6. Most important, STOP GIVING US SAME VEHICLE ON DIFFERENT NATION

I don’t mind the fact that battle pass vehicles are unoriginal, because I don’t like when unique playstyles and other ways of playing the game are locked behind limited time paywalls. That would only increase the FOMO that battle passes profit from
Ideally there wouldn’t be a battle pass at all but since there is I’m glad the vehicles in it can be safely skipped because that means I don’t have to feel bad about not buying it (except this one because I main Sweden and i actually want the tiger II)

its the main reward for the upcoming battlepass, bp is 2000GE which is the cheapest u can get all the rewards for, youll need to log in daily to get the tiger for free tho

@@TheHunter-cm5ci if you are on pc, u cant access it on the ps/xbox clients, sure people will put it on sale. expect around 30-50$ when it becomes available and itll probably creep up to ~100$ in time.
Yeah I need to know that aswell. They say that it's possible to log in every day, do the daily task, and do a special task every 2 days, but do you have to buy the BP to get the Kungstiger? Because I really don't want the P-51.

So you are telling me, a brand new player, new to the game , mostly becasue he is interested in tanks/history, would somehow start with sweden, and even then, REACH to rank 4 (equivalent for the german tiger, and assuming it was indeed in the swedish tech tree) WITHOUT trying anything else? Its interesting how people suddenly ignore their own sayings of how the grine is bad but suddenly a brand new player would just get to rank 4 sweden without trying any other tech tree.. notable rank 3 heavy tanks(rank 3 is minimum required rank): ARL ACL1 3.7, M6A1 5.0, Tiger 1 5.7 KV1 4.7.....

Like, the entire point of the game is ww2/modern and if you think of "Sweden" on your first thought as a military power, that means you got deep knowledge and understanding and that means you arent young. So it would be pretty obvious that if you scroll down and see NO heavy tanks that it may not be the perfect tree to grind..
You are assuming why people play the game. Which is wrong I know people right that only picked Sweden because they were told top tier op. Some people don’t care about the history or development warthunder for some is the first introduction to that, and what’s wrong with having parity of the nations where they all can do dailies specials events without being forced to another tech tree.
How are y’all always forgetting the Kranvagan and Emil? Those are also heavy tanks they can add.

its by design, if you expect any sort of fairness applied to f2p players then think again, it seems that the only new FREE tanks we will ever get from this point are during additions of new nations, everything else added from now on is event / premium .... i am f2p player with a life so WT is no longer playable for me

@@Skull-dw3kn Fair, there is only one reason they put it so high is "anti-tank performance". And then there is ultimate tank remover Zsu-57, that has full-auto APHE with double the armor pen on very same BR, its ridiculous.
If the M26 is 6.7 *any* Tiger II should be 6.7 minimum.

. Japan also has just 1 attacker plane in air tree and the attacker is Rank 1 = japan cant do any attacker task as those are rank +2 or +3.

criticizing gaijin for adding mostly a copy paste tank as an optional vehicle to buy is kind of a cop out when the reasoning you give is for parity to complete tasks that are already contrived by gaijin and very easily should be criticized in their own right
if i'm a player that only plays battle ratings above, say, 10.0 there are no heavy tanks in the game to play at that battle rating. The reason that "Every nation needs a heavy tank to complete the shitty tasks that gaijin made up out of thin air" is stupid reasoning frankly because the real criticism should be directed at the shitty tasks to begin with not whether or not your nation has the vehicles to complete it.
I mean for crying out loud half of the air RB tasks are for shit you can't do above 7.7 because it involves getting "bomber" kills or "getting kills with strike aircraft"
changing tasks are easy from a players perspective and also would be easy for gaijin to reform as well for higher BR gameplay and to be more inclusive for minor nations.
That being said, Sweden isn't much of a minor nation especially at the higher BRs and I honestly was loathing the idea that they would be simply adding a tiger II(p) into the tech tree that people will use in lineups that are already very powerful in their own right with vehicles like the pvbrv 501
from the perspective of players that want different nations to play differently, adding these vehicles to the tech tree just because the host nation captured one of them at the end of WW2 and never used them will homogenize the game gradually but surely. Honestly if it were up to me this vehicle just straight up would not be added for sweden because I disagree with it being added.
This is preety much dumb, even if the tech trees are filled with everything a lot of people would say give us abrams in italian tech tree or such…The fact is that all of the nations cannot be filled with everything because most od the world nations cannot be compared with top 3-4 nations , sweden might not have heavy tanks in tech tree but they have a lot of unique and more usefull vehicles ,yust like most of the nations…For example ,not the 5% of the sweden mains plays the BKan at all ,but imagine if it were premium vehicle…everyone would cry like bllaaah its OP why they put it as premium why not tech tree..and such ,even tho you can check every single vehicle from the verry beginning,so if you are a heavy tank lover then surely sweden aint for you,so you might chose germany in that case…by your way of looking every single nation miss something , maybe its meant to be like that ,you also cannot expect every single pass 3 unique new vehicles it would lose its point ..in that case they only can fill up tech trees with copy paste vehicles where everyone would cry about researching 5 same tanks in one tech tree,also if you for example like that one specific vehicles ,then its the chance to get it with “premium” stats so you can grind RP or SL even better, every player who joined the game can get one of the random events and get one vehicle that ge could sell ok marketplace from where you have enough GJN coins that u can buy battlepass once and as long as you hit 125lvl and save the BP vehicles for yourself you can combine two of the upgrade coupons to get next Battle Pass for free,so with 2k gold you can get battle pass for life in WT ,also you can grt 2-4 premium vehicles from warbond shop every single battle pass ,decorations bushesdecs or anything you like and every player can hit 125 lvl on BP easy..easy medium and special task could be done in like 2 hours max daily, even you can miss a lot of days which u dont need to push every single day for 3 months ,and if youre playing 1-2 hours daily 2-3 days a week then you are yust being stuppid talking about “pay2win” system.youre yust not playing the game almost at all and also doesnt want to spend anything there ,but still expecting “unique” things easy… in that case you have option to play WoT and face players with “premium ammunitions shells” and such crap

To be fair, events and tasks can be easily done with 9.3-10.3 vehicles, maybe even top tier ones.
Low tier vehicles only exist in war thunder to increase the grind, afterwards you don't have to ever touch them.
Not everyone plays WT for just top tier vehicles

All the arguments from one nation mains about not having something in their tree is ridiculous. Yall talk like its mandatory to do dailies and special tasks, . They can be changed and if you need to play a particular thing then at least have the willpower to gring something to rank 3 (like a day at max?) which has that thing which your other tree does not. Players will cry for anything at this point. 2000 ge for 3 premiums is a steal, im fine with them copying something if they dont have it irl. Like were they supposed to make is a tech tree vehicle? With all the event vehicles being able to sold on the market, it should be pretty easy to scrape 13 dollars for 2000 ge and then buy a battle pass, but hey i guess we just want everything to be handed to us.
Ok but what if you don't play during this time you have the market what if your a console player you will never get access to this vehicle unless they put it in a loot box.
Also, your point of people who do not want to grind the next bp not having the vehicles from it is also kinda L opinion, like if I dont want to work im not getting paid. If i dont do anything for said vehicles why sould i get them? Man i always listen to your videos about anything but this is just bad.
@@DawgIVLife Just like with previous event vehicles, which i missed too. But im not gonna go around and bash the devs about not being able to get everything easily in their game. If we could get them years later easily then why would we pay for it now or anytime in general. Exclucivity means time limited. This is how life works. I want vehicles i missed but im able to comprehend and accept that i missed it.
It’s not that people do not want to grind people have lives. Sometimes people get busy and can’t play warthunder or warthunder is the very last thing on their minds. I always will be supporting those players the most.

Im not grinding my ass off while working a full time so people who have no time can get these things i worked for for no input whatsoever. I am still standing by my point. Work for it or pay for it. This is seriously a weak argument. No one just mains one nation the entire time they play war thunder for this to be a problem. Even assuming so, you can literally always skip the first of your dailies once for only 1000SL…
One can argue it’s much better to have this one off as a premium tank because of the attached bonuses for those who would really want to play it. If it was in the tech tree people would grind it and move on because it’s just a tiger 2 P.
Honestly much better as GE vehicle. Snail should definitely get more of those, and reserve events and BP`s for TRULY unique vehicles, or even paper stuff for that matter.
I keep hoping that the game switched ownership.
