      @@BrothaontheGo thank you for the swift response. I understand Utah has so many places from red deserts to green forest like areas.
      I’d like to visit Moab with some ATVs if there such a tour, then hiking in one of the hidden gem areas like Hobble Creek in Springfield.
      Utah seems like a state with it all in terms of nature variety.

    • @BrothaontheGo
      @BrothaontheGo  3 года назад +1

      Hey, no problem. I stay up to late most nights, so I may as well answer comments lol. I agree 100% that the variety there is incredible. I went to Moab a year ago and it is hard to believe all of the incredible destinations packed within an hour or so. There are so many places I probably haven't heard of. Like Hobble Creek... I don't even think I have heard of that place and it's probably breathtaking. I have been to Utah about 5 times and it hasn't disappointed at all. Hopefully you get the chance to go!

    Great video, the portrayal of video is how Utah used to be 20 30 years ago. Now we have traffic that will rival LA, property prices threw the roof, those casual stroll in national parks portrayed,. now sometimes at peak time there closed by 10am to many people. Boating on the lakes that are close to Salt Lake you could probably walk from boat to boat in summer. Lake Powell used to be heaven but because of low water levels (surround states taking more water) now a lot of boat ramps are out of the water. I could go on and on how Utah used to be.

    • @BrothaontheGo
      @BrothaontheGo  3 года назад +1

      Hey confused cynic, thanks for watching the video! I was really disappointed to learn about Lake Powell's water levels being so low. I saw that on the news. I know many SLC residents are concerned about traffic, but it still isn't as bad as some places people are moving from. In your opinion, do you think Salt Lake is not built out for the high population growth it has seen as of late?

    I live in pittsburgh Pennsylvania but have traveled to Utah at least 8 times. Love the southwest part of Utah. Bryce, Zion, Cedar Breaks NM, Moki Dugway, Lake Powell, Dead Horse State Park, and the drive from Bryce to Torrey Utah are some of my favorite places to see. Thought about moving to Utah when I retired but I think property is too expensive in the areas I'd like to live. Also, leaving all my friends and most of my family in Pittsburgh would be too difficult.

    I don’t see why anyone outside of the LDS would choose Utah over neighboring Colorado. Both are pretty similar in terms of geography, but Colorado just has more to offer from an economic and entertainment perspective. Also more diverse.

      @@BrothaontheGo I am considering it and am planning on taking a trip to Utah, there is an opportunity in the Provo area I am looking into but I’d like to check salt lake out bc I would like to be close to a city of some sort

    • @BrothaontheGo
      @BrothaontheGo  3 года назад +1

      That's great! I have been to Utah a handful of times and it is really unique compared to other places you have probably been. So, going to visit will definitely be helpful. As far as dating in Salt Lake, I am not too sure about that to be honest. I do know they have BYU and the University of Utah in the area. So, depending on your age there may be lots of people, but if you are looking for NY nightlife options... It's just not the same. If you live in Provo you are still basically in the SLC metro area. So, if you want to be really close to town it may not be your best option, but it's still close enough. I highly recommend checking Utah out in person if you are interested. I personally enjoy Utah, but not everyone does. Try to write your questions down before your trip and see which ones can be answered before/during your trip. If you know what you are looking for it will help you identify which area may be the best fit. Good luck with your trip and decision making process! Take care!

    Utah is very much catered to the 'upper middle class.' That's one thing to start with. Secondly, it's extremely 'competitive.' It's not 'slower paced' at all. Maybe compared to NYC or LA but definitely not compared to the south of the country. People work a lot and any weekend 'reprieve' is built around hiking, mountain biking and other 'outdoor' activities. Or church. Let's just say that 'grown adults' don't hang around restaurants on the weekends ordering a second bottle of wine or drinks, conversing and joking around, after they've finished eating. It's very much a state built around 'self-notoriety' and spending 90% of their time with their families (and other micro-cult things) and not caring about 'the rest of the world' outside their upper middle class or mormon 'bubble.' But hey, if you're very 'independent' this might just work for you. Just remember, people only have conversations with you here to 'talk about their own notoriety.' It's 'that' kind of independent here. This all might sound kind of 'cynical,' but I can assure you it will 'reveal' itself once you move here.
