Seriously though, I need prayer. My secret sin is so pervasive; it is eating me from the inside out.
I was baptized today and want to do street ministry so bad. Like I'm stoked after a lifetime of being the worst.....but I'm also a mom of 4 young kids and my husband hasn't decided to join us....yet.....I'm praying and working on that. Anyhow, this was a good reminder that I don't need to rush out just yet, teaching my kids the gospel should be something that I put my all into, perhaps I can wait on the rest for after they're grown.
This message is timeless.

America has difficult times, but what it is we forget is we are a country with a king, our president is supposed to protect and serve the ppl who are share holders of jesus's kingdom and our system can bring prosperity to its ppl thru a republic under God. But when you remove God then u have men trying to follow men and we already know from jesus and thousands of years of history that other systems dnt wrk for very good reasons. Jesus needs to be put back as King of the free world and protected by the 1 Republic under God

The Church or I die. I have a passion I think for the what I see happening in the churches- they are a mission field as well especially here in the US. My life changed and the love for the church changed when I read Pilgrims Progress last year. I became passionate about the church again when I read about Christian coming to House Beautiful! He asked what this place was and the porter said “This house was built by the Lord of the hill, and he built it for the relief and security of pilgrims.” I then saw the church in a way I have never understood it. Wonderful talk, but must correct one of your statements. If people put. ` Old Irish churches` into google images they will find overwhelmingly pictures of stone churches. 45years ago I was a stone-masons labourer and worked on many similar churches here in England. We are not told to go take the world, we are told to resist the devil and he shall flee and we are told to preach the gospel as it is our only weapon against the enemy. Preaching the gospel and making disciples is our only mission, if politicians get saved as a result and starts speaking truth and justice then fine. The same for any other human institution or profession. Use your talents where you are to glorify God. But keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.

And maybe you can help me with this. I heard in one of your videos that you liken churches of Christ as cults. Did I misunderstand that? Or can you further explain what you meant. Thanks for any of your time and consideration in this matter.
Churches of Christ believe (are adamant) that you have to be baptized in order to be saved. There is a nice one in Cheyenne, Wyoming, but I would not be able to join it unless I was baptized again at their church. They do agree, oddly enough, that the baptism itself doesn't save you. Does that sound confusing?
They get stuck on this verse.
Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Calling it a cult is a little too strong for me.
However, I knew a friend who attended one in Maryland and they were very spiritually abusive to her. They were certain she wasn't born again because when she was baptized at the age of 12, she wasn't baptized for the remission of sin. She did not know about that sort of thing at the time.
Theology is like dominoes. Once you get one thing wrong, then a lot of other things start to fall over. (in some measure) It is a bit risky.

If as a Calvinist, the Elect are already chosen and none may be added to their predetermined number, why should we go to all the nations and preach the word? Please do not be angered that I ask. I really am curious.
Some calvinists have believed such, and did not believe in evangelism at all consequently. But election doesn't negate evangelism: how will they hear without a preacher? (Rom. 10:14). Those whom God has elected will be called, will preach the gospel to the nations, and all for His glory. One could reason that evangelism may be unnecessary for a sovereign God to work His purpose, but perhaps He has ordained it as a privilege to those who believe in Jesus. The fact that He chose to save us at all is nothing short of amazing.

Andrew Evans 801-900 is the 9th century. He's not speaking about what a century is though. He is speaking of spreading the word of God throughout all centuries so that the world is under the feet of Christ for all time.

“He denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.” How can one approach God the creator and redeemer if they are not among the Elect? One cannot choose God, God has already chosen those who are saved, has he not?
If they are not elect, they won't approach Christ because they hate Him. God has indeed already chosen His elect, and is giving out hearts of flesh to them as we speak so that they can come to Christ.

That commission was given to the apostles not to everyone there was literally nothing in that text that commanded all believers to preach the gospel it was given to the 12 apostles
Occasionally I hear Pastor Jeff mention Saul/Paul falling or being knocked from a horse on his way to Damascus. Is this not merely an unsubstantiated traditional narrative that lacks explicit biblical support? While it may be relatively minor, it does cause me to wince slightly when I hear orthodox bothers include it in their retelling of that event.

The facts are that Paul was traveling, that he was knocked to the ground and that he was lead by the hand the rest of the way. He may not have been on a horse, but most of the time Jeff says he was knocked down off of his high horse. It's a coloquialism for being humbled.

All these verses and more are in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon truly is a testimony of Jesus Christ and has been brought forth by the power of God in these latter days. Anyone who believes these words from the Book of Mormon (and I know these words are true) should contact the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to speak with the missionaries and find out for themselves that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored in these latter days.

If it was flat, you couldn't travel the way you can. You wouldn't be able to go in one direction and end up in the same spot by continuing to go that way, you would hit the "end" of the Earth and have to turn around to go back.
