All of you that are complaining about her outfit need to keep your trap shut. She can wear WHATEVER makes her feel strong and beautiful. None of you are paying a dime to her for the information she is freely giving you. I have learned A LOT throughout college from this highly intelligent, classy, amazing nurse. If her outfit distracts you THAT much then go find someone else to watch...but why comment negatively towards someone just trying to help you understand concepts and terms that could help you be better at what you do in life. She does a great job breaking it down and Im thankful for the time she and her team put into this video. It's helped a ton!

      Yeah she would be classy..
IF she dressed appropriately to teach people nursing material!! 😂😂
And she’s especially classy at the end where she’s dancing like she’s in the club Lol

I'm a third year med student and my pharmacology exam is in 2 days.
I've read this chapter over and over and it just words, not structured and all over the place.
Thank you for explaining this so simply and clearly.

WOW...this video is so helpful. I am a first time nursing student about to take Pharmacology, and watching my ATI videos doesn't really deeply explain what beta blockers do. I like the animation part explaining what beta blockers really do. THANK YOU.

This video is so well done! I have been out of nursing for 12 years and am doing a RN refresher course- between nursing school back in the day and the refresher course I know I don't feel confident about my understanding of cardiac meds. You've done a great job in simplifying the info- its comprehensive, but clear
. Thanks! (and my future patients thank you, too!)

Although your main focus was for RNs, know that the layout and completeness, coupled with an amazingly easy to understand outline of the drug class makes it an excellent tool for medical students like me on their final year rotations. Thank you very much, you've made it a breeze for us to explain it to our patients and evil attendings who cannot wait to pimp us. Awesome refresher!!!

I love the videos. And I feel what is in a person's head and heart should have no reflection on what's on their body. She has both the passion and intellect to put these videos together to better educate the public. Who cares what she wears? We all wear what makes us feel and look good and that will never please everyone. One person's idea of what is acceptable in a situation will never be another person's idea. Come, learn, and then leave. You're not here to criticize.

I believe you are missing one point. Nursing is a humble and modest occupation. It's not glamorous or sexy. The way in which you present yourself is a huge part and if you present yourself in such a grossly promiscuous manner, it sends off the wrong(sexual) message. No one will take someone like that seriously or professionally. It's not criticism, it's just the truth. It just seems attention-seeking to parade around like that(which is an opinion, not truth per say). I never would have thought she is a nurse-
more like ready to go to the club to get some dick. Sometimes people allow what "feels good" triumph over "what is good". There is a huge difference.

Thanks for this video! I do have a question though, when we decrease the 'need' for oxygen in the heart, are we decreasing the amount of oxygen throughout the body? And if the answer is yes, how is that therapeutic? Decreasing oxygen throughout the body I mean. Look forward to hearing from you!

    • @empowern
      @empowern  10 лет назад

Katherine Sidhu When the heart is beating too fast, it is not getting enough oxygen... slowing the heart rate will allow "proper" oxygenation.
This is only in cases where the heart is not functioning properly & it is causing disease. A healthy heart would not need to be slowed.
Sometimes you have pt.s with weak hearts that have sort of improper signals making it beat way too fast.... does this make sense???
      xoxo!!

06:45 Not all ST elevation is a myocardial infarction. Look out for imposters that mimic AMI ; like Left ventricular hypertrophy, Left bundle branch blocks, early ventricular repolarization, ventricular pacemakers and hyperkalemia. If u wanna get really good at diagnosing Myocardial infarctions in the presence of LBBB and Vent. Pacemakers , look up the sgcarbossa criteria.

I was wondering if by an chance you would be able to put questions from all the different tutorials into one NCLEX review. It's kind of easy to figure out the write answer when they are under on category once you've watched the videos a few times and practice the question a few times. Don't get me wrong I find the videos and questions super helpful but mixing it up would be more changing, like a next level. Thank you so much and I apprentice all the hard work that you put into making these wonderful, informative videos.

Would you find it possibly best to use a beta-blocker for social anxiety, if the person is a sexual trauma survivor and needs to lower adrenaline sometimes?
Some doctors suggest various anti-depressants which work on either all of the neurotransmitters or just GABA or Serotonin.
What if the cause is just fear and the root is only adrenaline??
Trauma can get cured by natural treatment, changing your way of life, but I am talking about preventing the unwanted reactions meanwhile.

You are wonderful!!! and its so so cool that you do these videos for people. Your information is fantastic, and well researched, you seem like a great nurse AND you are a beautiful woman, however, unfortunately because I'm so distracted by your dress and your lovliness I can't focus on what you're saying at all and I actually have to just listen to your video, which sucks because I love the special effects you do. Maybe you could find a happy medium and do more low key but still lovely outfits. I'm not hating, I think you're so great. Just a suggestion because otherwise I love your videos. It's incredible that you take the time to put these together and post these. Thank you!
