rocker arm on passenger side pushrod came off. intake valve stuck open and caused it to suck back in raw fuel and exhaust. that's why both banks were rich as hell and didn't want to run very long.
ok so any cel codes? and its obvious that there is a leak by the manifold. let me know it all and ill help as much as i can. i have a 96 blazer and have become somewhat a pro on this motor and other items in this truck.
yea i replaced the water pump and thermostat. plugs wires cap rotor injectors and cut the cat off since it was glowing red. still runs the same. random misfire. o2 sensors both banks runnin full rich. and both short term fuel trims are at -30.5 % thats a negative 30. distributor has acceptable play in it from what others have told me.

Sounds like gasket blew inbetween 2 cylinders mine did the same thing and it happend to be that
my 99 sonoma 4.3 is doing the same thing
My 98 is doing the same
Bad cap and rotor or fuel pump, I know mine did ot
