Dude! Your presentations ate flawless: * the white infinity background with bright lights makes everything super easy to see. * you pause long enough for people to actually see the details * you show how everything moves and works * both pros and cons Subbed.
So fun fact: Junkbot (11:00) was an earlier 2000s Lego video game, along with the more modern Shadow of Ronin, the cover art of which was used on the second arcade machine. one of the ads for the billboard (7:59) is a lego Ultra Agents car (that you can actually buy! Do, it's fun), and one of the signboards inside the arcade (10:21) is the Mask of Ultimate Power from Bionicle. The cards you see (4:40 and another time I couldn't find) are the same design as some trading cards that came with Series 1 Spinjitzu sets.
I would have done absolutely anything for the two Ninjago City sets as a kid. I was always obsessed with accessories and unique printed/stickered pieces (and still am as an AFOL.) These sets are absolutely loaded!
I love the Ninjago city modulars, I bought 2 of the city ones and built one mirrored, I then bought 2 docks and will build a large water area using the same method and then add the Destiny's bounty with a custom bridge and dock for the ship...Building the Ninjago 70620 mirrored was the hardest build ever attempted, the normal build took 6 hours the Mirror build took 20hrs! The water on the front looks great if you extend it 3 more tiles wide then add a light grey wall at 3 brick high to make it an actual city water lake...i'm also doing a custom build to fit in between the 70620's to allow the ship to sit behind with the walkway to lead to the ship!
I'm really glad they included in-universe Characters like Mystake, Dareth, and Little Nelson. BUT two hundred dollars is a price I can't afford, even if I wanted to. I love the set though. Nice review!
If you remove the black 1x1 bushing from the technic pin/axle that holds the cartwheel style window and push the window further in it will hold flush to the wall. No wobbly loose wheel!
Now I wish I‘d have 530,- around 😂 As a huge Star Wars fan who wants the 500,- Death Star set and who doesn’t know anything about Ninjago, I think, I‘d rather buy these than the Death Star. There‘s just so much detail in there and just looking at all of this really inspires the imagination for this place.
One particular detail that stood out for me is the fluorescent black light detail on the upside down ceiling of the games arcade shop. Now THAT'S attention to detail!
It was definitely a set that had little appeal until I saw it with the Ninjago City set. Then it makes sense and works wonderfully! Great detailed walkthrough Jang.
I've seen two different reviews some time ago and my first thought was... your review is so late. I couldn't have been more wrong! I learned so many new things about this set! You always include another layer of details. Love it. Definitely the best, most complex review of this set (as always :)
Thank you for the kind words. This and a ton of other sets aren't available to purchase in my hemisphere of the world until months after their European release, and I don't accept free products from LEGO to review early so I'm severely handicapped compared to most others. I do the best I can to buy & review the products as quickly as reasonably possible regardless.
This thing deserves a long video. It’s an incredible set and you reviewed it very well! Anyone complaining about the length of the video should respect your work
You are by far the best LEGO set reviewer! Attention to detail and the building techniques. You make me want to by sets I originally had no interest in.
Also with 4 of each sets, you could have to built the way they are supposed to be built and then finish off the block with custom shops and houses, all built in the Ninjago Style which would make for a really nice unique Ninjago City. All in all two really cool sets
This set along with the Ninjago City set reminds me very strongly of the 1982 film Blade Runner with its futuristic-Asian style. I'm also pleased to see the old Lego Space / Explorian printed design piece from 1998 on one of the roofs (Shown at around 17.00). Never thought I'd see this reproduced twenty years later.
I wish lego would do space sets(non star wars)not hating, just think lego should bring back the classic space theam ) this detailed . Now that is something I'd drop 230 on .
I'm with you, but we're in a bit of a bubble. They've brought back a number of themes with a set or two, testing the water and the classics never sell as well as I assumed they would. Too bad, I'd love to see some new Mtron, blacktron, etc.
Just realized all this could be a perfect Katmandu for Dr Strange! You could make a Sanctum with a door leading to the 3 different city styles. Gawd i luv Lego! Great Video again, Jang.
When this was first teased by Lego, I thought the size didn’t justify the price, but now seeing your review, I see it’s quality over quantity and it’s a gorgeous, highly detailed set. I’m going to buy one as soon as it launches if possible. Thanks for the great review as always.
I got this set as soon as it was available. Love the way it adds to the Ninjago City and I hope they continue this line beyond the Ninjago Movie sets into the regular Ninjago brand. Also love how they continue to hack all kind of tools (crowbars, shovels) and turn them into rooftop texturing.
Bloktopus I also like seeing Lego use pieces like the crowbar for other things for instance in that Jurassic world set they used it as part of the vehicle.
I have the Ninjago City set and I'm still really up in the air with one. It's like the city is meant to be viewed from the front and the docks are better viewed from the back.
I liked the graphics and aesthetic of Ninjago before seeing the movie or the show. I like it even more since seeing it. This set looks really good and I look forward to seeing what connects to the docks and city in future. Thanks for the review.
7:57 the ads/news reports (in order read: Garmadon attacks city... Again. / *Agents* Be ultra / Thunder Adventure Tours Call 5935-202 / Roof top SUSHI food with a view / _And the one already in the frame says:_ Who are the Ninja? We talk with the expert
Good review. The travellers tea obviously can take them to other worlds. Just as Woo went to the underworld to rescue his brother, obviously people from Exploriens (symbol above travellers tea shop), M-tron shirt (Classic Space), Mata Nui, Keystone Earth (the globe, possibly from POTC time frame judging on shared globe), etc, have travelled to Ninjago and sought passage home to their world. This further links the three LEGO movies together as being a shared Universe. Emmet even travelled to Keystone Earth through the vortex, and returned the same way. Just a thought.
The coolest thing about this set for me is the Junkbot arcade cabinet. That’s such an obscure reference nowadays; it was a game I played a lot of on LEGO’s website back in the early-mid 2000s. Very nice that the designers wanted to reference that. And the Makuta mask poster in the arcade is cool too.
I'm really happy they included a nod to Johnny Thunder, his cameo in this set is wonderful along with that Scooby Doo set Never did get that Lego Movie set with him in it
I love how all the random containers spread around, have things in them. I almost feels like an RPG where you search every nook and cranny for various things.
Oh I just thought of the back story of that skull!inside the sculptors workshop the skeletons face is blank,so maybe he ordered a skeleton head as a reference of design.
One thing I have to say first: I totally enjoy your videos, they are awesome! The picture-quality is stunning, how the bricks gleam in the light, it's a work of art. I watched many of them over and over again, just for the pleasure of it. Ok, stopping drooling now. I have this set standing side by side with the Ninjago City and the Destiny Bounty, the sight of those sets all together is spectacular. What I don't get is this: Lego is capable of this awesomeness, and then they go and do something like that awful Corner Garage, which looks unfinished. I just don't get it.
7:50 Jang you're not meant to open the doors, you're meant to just push the thing on the other side and it all opens automatically and spits the signs out.
This si a great set. I wonder why didn't they do this kind of sets with nexo knights??? It would have gotten more appreciation instead of just boring vehicules..
Not a fan of ninjago set overall, but the ninjago city sets, the spinjutsu temple and the lego movie set overall are way above what they usually make for this line. Love this set as well, too bad I can't afford it now.
10:20 What the heck. That's the Mask of Ultimate Power (from the Bionicle reboot, that got cancelled before its third year) on the wall of the arcade. 16:00 PLUS the island of Mata Nui in the map room.... Why must Lego taunt us?
Onion Dogeman Also the arcade has Junkbot! I can't believe they referenced that here. I hadn't seen that game mentioned in so long. It was an old Lego.com game from the early 2000's and it was so much fun.
16:28 It makes perfect sense! The inhabitant of this house is evidently a fanboy/girl of a fantasy universe called Earth. This individual collect all kinds of Earth memorabilia, including a highly detailed globe!
So, here's a quick question that's been bugging me; what do these sets look like when put face to face, to turn that water moreso into a canal? i always thought it'd be nice to see this as a canal setup with the city and docks opposite
Narrow and tight are the most common words I hear and also see as you go through the build. But it looks great from the outside, can't argue with that :)
*Too long to watch?* See my *quick* overview video instead: ruclips.net/video/gSHm9gxaefU/видео.html
JANGBRiCKS I love you!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
JANGBRiCKS your videos are very AWESOME! thank you so much for awesome content
Ive been waiting SO long for you to review thus set! TYSVM!
I watched the whole thing
JANGBRiCKS I actually watched the whole thing
Dude! Your presentations ate flawless:
* the white infinity background with bright lights makes everything super easy to see.
* you pause long enough for people to actually see the details

Subbed.
He‘s great. Gives you a great detailed impression on the whole set, while being very nuanced about it.
That Mata Nui map makes me so happy! I miss Bionicle so much...

Your name scares me
Junkbot!! I can't believe they reference Junkbot. That is such a throwback. One of the best early 2000's Lego.com games!
I would have done absolutely anything for the two Ninjago City sets as a kid. I was always obsessed with accessories and unique printed/stickered pieces (and still am as an AFOL.) These sets are absolutely loaded!

That advertisement for a car was the Solomon Blazes vehicle from the Ultra Agents set 'Infearno Interception' set number 70162.
That adventure sign panel is a plane set from the old dinosaur series. I have that plane it is sweet.
I like the references to other themes, especially both generations of Bionicle.
I'm really glad they included in-universe Characters like Mystake, Dareth, and Little Nelson. BUT two hundred dollars is a price I can't afford, even if I wanted to. I love the set though. Nice review!
Pascual Morales I agree I wish I could afford this one and I couldn’t afford the other ninjago city set either
I dont want to be "that guye" but on the bod it says Lil Nilson (;
If you remove the black 1x1 bushing from the technic pin/axle that holds the cartwheel style window and push the window further in it will hold flush to the wall. No wobbly loose wheel!

It was definitely a set that had little appeal until I saw it with the Ninjago City set. Then it makes sense and works wonderfully! Great detailed walkthrough Jang.
I love all of these small little references to other Lego themes
I've seen two different reviews some time ago and my first thought was... your review is so late.
I couldn't have been more wrong! I learned so many new things about this set! You always include another layer of details. Love it. Definitely the best, most complex review of this set (as always :)

The junkbot game was amazing as a kid growingup
This thing deserves a long video. It’s an incredible set and you reviewed it very well! Anyone complaining about the length of the video should respect your work
Roger Halt He does produce quick reviews now though so there is no reason to conplain.
You are by far the best LEGO set reviewer! Attention to detail and the building techniques. You make me want to by sets I originally had no interest in.
I feel that this set looks underwhelming compared to the first one, but I think it’s better! It looks more complete, and has more details!
ZG Brickfilms considering the price and the piece count i really think overall ninjago city is superior, just my oppinion
Also with 4 of each sets, you could have to built the way they are supposed to be built and then finish off the block with custom shops and houses, all built in the Ninjago Style which would make for a really nice unique Ninjago City. All in all two really cool sets
A mata nui map? I'm attacked by nostalgia
Wow I spent so many hours online playing Junkbot as a kid, what a cool throwback.
That Adventure sign brings me back! I think I ended up with 2 or 3 copies of that Adventure set with the plane. Love it!
11:02 If anyone remembers, Junkbot was a game on the Lego website in the early 2000s
They should’ve used slope pieces for the arcade cabinet, so the screen could slope in like a real arcade cabinet.
My suspicion is that it's because the sloped pieces have a textured surface on the slope and I don't them putting stickers on those surfaces.
10:32 Bionicle Gen 2!! I love tat Easter egg
8:00 that’s the car from Ultra Agents which is one of my favorites
This shows how much Lego cares for Ninjago even now
1. Johnny Thunder
2. Mata Nui
3. Junkbot...
This is OG Lego detail!!!
Fun fact: Chan Kong-Sang is actually the birth name of Jackie Chan. His hair and clothes are referenced from his movie "Drunken Master" (1978).
I think in fall 2019 their going to add a Ninjago beach set
I wish lego would do space sets(non star wars)not hating, just think lego should bring back the classic space theam ) this detailed . Now that is something I'd drop 230 on .
Bradford star☆ a series of sci fi modulars would be amazing
I'm with you, but we're in a bit of a bubble. They've brought back a number of themes with a set or two, testing the water and the classics never sell as well as I assumed they would. Too bad, I'd love to see some new Mtron, blacktron, etc.
Same
Just realized all this could be a perfect Katmandu for Dr Strange! You could make a Sanctum with a door leading to the 3 different city styles. Gawd i luv Lego! Great Video again, Jang.
Anyone else noticed an Exploriens logo? @17:07 over the tea shop
Van Goh I did! But I couldn't remember the theme name, so thanks for that.
Yeah. just like the M:Tron logo in the previous one.
When this was first teased by Lego, I thought the size didn’t justify the price, but now seeing your review, I see it’s quality over quantity and it’s a gorgeous, highly detailed set. I’m going to buy one as soon as it launches if possible. Thanks for the great review as always.
I can't wait to see what they release next for this.
It's good to see that they include that kind of use in official builds, because it invites kids to look beyond the obvious.
I have the Ninjago City set and I'm still really up in the air with one. It's like the city is meant to be viewed from the front and the docks are better viewed from the back.
16:27-16:40 Jangbricks is a flat Earther confirmed.
I love the cyberpunk aesthetic, although it was more prominent in the Ninjago city set
I liked the graphics and aesthetic of Ninjago before seeing the movie or the show. I like it even more since seeing it. This set looks really good and I look forward to seeing what connects to the docks and city in future. Thanks for the review.
8:00 Thats the ultra agents car! And also at 11:27 that game is for ninjago shadow of ronin also junkbot is an old lego game
I ordered this set the other day, it's such a beautiful set!
7:57 the ads/news reports (in order read:
Garmadon attacks city... Again.

_And the one already in the frame says:_
Who are the Ninja?
We talk with the expert
did anyone else notice that one ad was a throwback to that knock-off Indiana Jones adventure theme from waaaay back in the day?
jumcdonald Johnny thunder is the name of that old theme. I think that is the one your on about.
I remember Junkbot! Wasted lots of time on it.
Pentagon
Hexagon
17:38 *Ninjagon*
Rainy Clouds * Ninjagan
Wait no sorry
That’s the name of the residents
I love the Junkbot reference. I used to play that game on LEGO's website all the time!
Gonna start building this beauty tonight, your perfect (as always) review came right in time ;) Thanks Jang!
Good thing this set has some references to Bionicle
Yeeeeees! Finally you reviewed it! Thank you so much!
And the Mata Nui map!
That Junkbot easter egg hit me hard in the nostalgia.
The power miners vending machine works, I have it, it was awesome at the time I still use it in Mocs
These Ninjago sets are so epic! I JUST got the Ninjago City set on Friday and am still partway through bag 3. Massive!!!
Jade Scribbler Done?
The round tile print on the antenna over the tea shop... Looks very familiar... Yep, Exploriens from 1996 Lego Space. :D
That car is that one lego agents thing forget what it's called but I have the set
I need that Mata Nui sticker
What Mata Nui sticker? I only saw a Mask of Power sticker. Edit: Oh nvm, I thought there was a sticker of the giant robot.
I'm really happy they included a nod to Johnny Thunder, his cameo in this set is wonderful along with that Scooby Doo set
Never did get that Lego Movie set with him in it
It's nice that Lego put a Bionicle reference in the set. I miss Bionicle theme
When I was a little kid they had junkbot as a real game on the LEGO games site. I would play for hours so that’s a really cool Easter egg for me.
I love how all the random containers spread around, have things in them. I almost feels like an RPG where you search every nook and cranny for various things.
Omg junkbot was my jam
*Sees more spots for technic pins*
What's next Ninjago city High school
yes icy that why he mentioned it....
This and the ninjago city are my favorite sets of all time but I will never be able to get them
Yeah the cool drinks machine is inspired from power miners, and yes it actually worked in power miners also!
Oh my god! Junkbot! That game was so much fun on the lego.com games page back when I was a kid!
Just scored my 2nd Ninjago city docks set to go with my Ninjago city set.. gunna be an epic display when I get around to building all 3
That's some epic hours ahead for you!! ENJOY!!
Oh I just thought of the back story of that skull!inside the sculptors workshop the skeletons face is blank,so maybe he ordered a skeleton head as a reference of design.
I just recently got the Ninjago City set. Definitely picking this up someday.
Rople congratulations, definitely one of the most beautiful lego sets ever imo
I’ve been waiting for this forever. Even though I already saw the review of it, JANGBRICKS goes much more into depth.
that is the old exploriens symbol on the roof of the tea shop!
Chan kong sang is the Chinese name of jacky chan!!!!
They added an ultra Agents reference!
I still don't see the problem with the Corner Garage set.
Honestly gasped when I saw the Junkbot. A lot of nostalgia for the game
4:03
MY CABBAGES!
That´s nice. This video actually helped me to solve a Mystery-Geochache. Thanks.
I didn’t realise they started making a Ninjago modular series.
7:50 Jang you're not meant to open the doors, you're meant to just push the thing on the other side and it all opens automatically and spits the signs out.
I don’t like ninjago but this set to me seems worth buying
yeah i don't like ninjago but just love asian architecture so I was able to get the city lego set and loved and now can't wait to get this
Could you do a quick review of the 'trading cards' once you have them all, or a wave of them?
Actually the drink vending machine really worked in the power miner set.
This si a great set. I wonder why didn't they do this kind of sets with nexo knights??? It would have gotten more appreciation instead of just boring vehicules..
10:28 the only time the mask of ultimate power appeared in a set........ I'm getting depressed now
Pepsi Man VEVO is ur name, think about that
The arcade has the Shadow of Ronin game
The Mata Nui map tells me that maybe Bionicles existed ling ago before the time of the minifig
Not a fan of ninjago set overall, but the ninjago city sets, the spinjutsu temple and the lego movie set overall are way above what they usually make for this line. Love this set as well, too bad I can't afford it now.
OMG Junkbot! Right in the childhood. :D
Lil nelson/purple ninja is back!
That bionicle easter egg was the best part ❤️
10:20
What the heck.
Great detailed review JANG.. thanks!!
Narrow and tight are the most common words I hear and also see as you go through the build. But it looks great from the outside, can't argue with that :)
