Thumbs up, not for me but for Booski. She did the ten minutes and said her legs feel like jelly. That's awesome because it meant she was driving with her legs.
It's not going to leave you on the floor, but when you want to row, and only have a short amount of time - or if you're new, I'm hoping these are perfect.
Sometimes that’s the hardest battle! When you know you should stop, but you get the wind in your fur, and just want to keep going. Well done for being sensible!
Hi, my ebay purchase rowing machine is all very low and consequently as I draw back on the 'oar' and run forward, I must decide on where to have my knees, inside or outside my arms. Aside from binning the machine, can you advise?
Any tips on how to regulate breathing while rowing? Absolute beginner with breathing difficulties and starting to row to improve overall fitness. Do I breathe in while extending, breathe out while going forward, or vice versa? or does it matter?
I made a video about this - really it's about finding a rhythm that works with the stroke. At low rates, I'll exhale at the drive, and do two breaths per stroke. At higher rates, I'll inhale at the drive, and start with 1 breath per stroke, ending up at two breaths as I start gasping for air! Video link is here: ruclips.net/video/m9L65dhc8M0/видео.html
This is absolutely what I have been looking for as a beginner rower, well explained and not too long!! Thank you.
You're so welcome! I hope you continue to enjoy what I do.

Haha! That's the kind of review that gets printed out and stuck on my fridge! Thanks Jim.

Ideally, you want them under your arm-pits. But in terms of potential discfomfort etc, inside is better than outside.
