    Still very disappointing that Raymarine cannot institute software changes/requests quicker. On my night vision camera it allows me to mirror the image on the display (right becomes left). On my CAM 210, I cannot mirror the image, I have the camera pointed backward to watch for approaching boats from behind. Looking at my screen, boats on my left are on the right side of the screen. I just want to mirror the image so boats on the right are on the right side of my screen. Not to difficult I would think, especially since I can do it on my thermal camera. Please give us this feature.

      @RaymarineInc  3 месяца назад

      Hi Gary. Though we don't have a switch directly in Axiom to flip that camera, you can login to the camera's built-in webserver and flip it there. You can either do it with a PC or tablet connected to Axiom via Wi-Fi, plugged into the network, or easiest of all, right through a service menu in Axiom.
      To do it through Axiom turn on your system. Go to Home...Settings....Network. The network roll-call display there lists out all of your Raymarine components. Find the CAM210IP in the list and touch it. From the popup menu select CALIBRATE.
      After a second or 2, you'll see a very basic login screen appear where you can enter a username and password. Assuming nobody has been in here before and changed anything you will login with these credentials:
      Username: admin (all lowercase)
      Password: 1234
      You can change these once you login if you want to, but remember to write them down in case you ever want to adjust things again. Axiom's on-boat network that links devices together is firewalled from the internet to prevent anyone on the outside from accessing that page.
      Enter the username and password and touch Login. When you touch in the field a keyboard pops up so you can type. Be advised, when the keyboard opens, CAPS are on. Switch to lowercase before you type admin. It gets me all the time.
      Once you are logged in, you come to a very simple interface with various camera controls and settings.
      Touch the small icon on the top, right that looks like a gear.
      Touch the small icon on the left labeled CAMERA.
      Below the icon set, touch the text link for CAMERA SETUP
      In the box to the right, about 10 items down, is a setting called MIRROR. Touch the selections next to it and you'll have choices of OFF, MIRROR, V-FLIP and ROTATE. I believe you will want to set it to MIRROR for your application.
      Once you change that, pull the screen down so you can see the top of the on-screen interface. There is an icon of a square with an arrow pointing the right. That is the Log Out button. Touch it and it exits from the camera setup pages.
      Now, exit to your home screen, open your video camera app, and look at that camera feed. It should be mirrored.
      The camera retains that setting until you log in and change it otherwise.
      One more thing to note, if you happen to be running our Augmented Reality overlay on your boat, with the video mirrored you will want to turn off the AR on this camera, as we don't offer the option to also mirror the AR yet on a single camera. You can turn off AR for just this camera by opening the camera, going to Menu...Settings...ClearCruise....and turning Augmented Reality to the off position. That setting impacts just that camera alone.

    Very helpful explanation of NMEA 2000 and Seatalk Ng connectivity. I connected a Garmin AIS receiver with a dedicated NMEA2000-Seatalk Ng cable (white terminal) and it works perfectly. I have a question: is it possible to share GPS data from Axiom+ to a Wifi network o to a USB port of a computer running Windows ?

    • @RaymarineInc
      @RaymarineInc  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching the show. Unfortunately, no. The GPS can't be shared over Wi-Fi from Axiom. The Wi-Fi is used mainly to give Axiom access to the internet, to allow the Raymarine or Navionics apps to connect to Axiom, or to connect to a Quantum radar in a no-cable installation.

    I have an axiom9, Suzuki SMG4 gauge with the Suzuki interface wire, everything is connected though there is no activity (power) on the smg4 gauge.
    Is there any connection illustration that I could reference to troubleshoot my issues?
    What would you recommend?

    • @RaymarineInc
      @RaymarineInc  2 месяца назад

      Hello Nick. Please send me an email at james.mcgowan@raymarine.com. I do have some additional information I can send you.
      From what I can see about it online the SMG-4 gauge is powered by the engine system and should come on with the ignition. The SMG-4 has an internal gateway that allows it to supply engine data to the NMEA 2000 network. You'll run a NMEA 2000 spur cable from the SMG-4's NMEA 2000 connection to an empty spur port on the NMEA 2000 backbone.
      If your boat is rigged with Raymarine SeaTalk NG cabling you may need a DeviceNet to SeaTalk NG adapter cable, A06075, to plug the SMG-4 into the SeaTalk NG network.

    How do you change between transducer when you have a rv100 and a b175m

    • @RaymarineInc
      @RaymarineInc  2 месяца назад +1

      When you have more than one transdcuer, you'll see the available channels in the Fishfinder app's main menu.
      Touch Menu. There will be a few tiles in the top for High Chirp, DownVision, SideVision and 3D vision. Those channels are coming from your RV-100 transducer. You may also see a tile for Medium CHIRP. That is the B175M.
      If you don't see them, in the same menu touch CHANNELS...All Channels. There you should be able to see all of those selections, and probably a few more too.
      The Fishfinder app remembers what channel was last used, and comes back to it. Knowing that you could create more than one instance of the Fishfinder on your home screen, and pre-set one of them to access the B175M, and the other to utilize a channel off the RV-100, for quick access.
      You can also create a split window, and program each pane to a different sonar channel, allowing you to see them simultaneously.

    Hi
    Are the axiom going to integrate a forward looking sonar at some point? (like simrad has been using for a while)

    • @RaymarineInc
      @RaymarineInc  11 дней назад

      For forward-looking sonar, we have partnered with EchoPilot to support direct integration of their FLS 3D forward looking sonar on Axiom.
      The EchoPilot system connects to the RayNet high speed network like our other sonar modules. When Axiom detects it, it offers the EchoPilot FLS app which controls the system. The EchoPilot app can also be programmed into Axiom's homescreen tiles as a full-screen display, or split with other apps like radar, chart, etc.
      We have an article about it on Raymarine.com here: www.raymarine.com/en-us/about-raymarine/newsroom/echopilot-integration-with-raymarine-axiom
      Here is the FLS 3D system on the EchoPilot website: daniamant.com/products/echopilot-fls3d/

    Hi, is it possible to connect an rv100 to axiom12+ that doesn't have a transducer port?

    • @RaymarineInc
      @RaymarineInc  3 месяца назад +1

      Not directly. If your Axiom does not have a transducer port, that means it is the chartplotter variant which does not have the sonar hardware inside to support the transducer directly. You would need to add another device to your network that can host the transducer. That could be another sonar-equipped Axiom model (Axiom RV, Axiom Pro RVM, Axiom 2 Pro RVM) or it could be an external sonar module like our RVX-1000 or RVM-1600. The RV-100 RealVision 3D transom mount transducer is compatible with all of those devices.
      If you choose to add another Axiom display with sonar, all of the sonar features will be available on both of your displays through the network connection that will link them together. The displays are independently controlled too. You can show different things on each display at the same time.

    I have all the old stuff. ST50 wind and log ST40 depth, C80 plotter, ST6000 autopliot and radome rd 218. I'd like to start upgrading with plotter first and keep transducers for now. Buth what to do with the radar ? As far as I see radar and plotter will need to be upgraded together ?

    • @RaymarineInc
      @RaymarineInc  3 месяца назад

      Correct. Whatever radar you have now is not compatible with the latest Axiom products because it is an analog radar. The Quantum radar is a great unit to consider. It has excellent performance, its light weight, and uses very little power compared to your RD218. It will work with any Axiom display. The Quantum 2 is an upgraded version that adds Doppler radar tracking to help identify moving contacts. Your instruments and autopilot can keep working by adding an E22158 SeaTalk to STNG converter.

    Hi Jim, I've got an Axiom pro 16 rvx, connected to an airmar 285 HW, and a pair of rv 220 transducers. Is there a Y cable available to add my currently unused airmar b117, and would there be any benefit to doing so? Thanks in advance!

    • @RaymarineInc
      @RaymarineInc  3 месяца назад +1

      Your Axiom Pro is full, with regard to transducers. There isn't a y-cable that would let you add it in tandem with the B117. If you added a CP370 sonar module though, the B117 could connect to that. The CP370 would be seen by the Axiom as another sonar source and then you'd be able to use it.
      The B117, when connected to CP370, would be a digitally processed non-CHIRP channel supporting 50 kHz and 200 kHz frequencies at 600-watts of power.
      Would it be worthwhile? Maybe.
      The 50 kHz is a low-frequency channel with a 45° wide beam and a depth range of about 1,200 feet. You don't have anything in that frequency band now, so if you fish in deep water, it might be helpful.
      The 200 kHz is a high frequency channel. It has a 12° beam, narrow, and a depth range of about 700-feet. Being a narrow-beam, its more optimized for marking tightly packed fish.
      You have 2 channels already in this frequency band already:
      The high CHIRP channel on the RV-220 transducers has approximately the same beam width, but less power. Being a CHIRP channel though, it will have better ability to show tightly packed fish as individual targets, rather than a large blob. It works to about 900-feet of depth.
      The B285HW is also in the high frequency band, but with significantly more power output (1kW, 1000 watts) and a wider beam of 25°. It is really optimized for the upper water column and for displaying very clear fish arches. Its target zone is basically from the surface to 500-feet. The other 2 high frequency channels are narrower so may be able to go a bit deeper, while still maintaining fairly high resolution.

      They are different. The 5-way connector with the yellow port in the center is available as a SeaTalk to SeaTalk NG adapter (E22158) or as a NMEA 0183 adapter for VHF radios (E70196.) Though they look the same, the software code they run inside is different.

    Can you list whats actualy letf for this expencive macines ????

    Every year new stuff comes out.
    Why not make so all can be used together whit all ????

    Frustrated man in european waterways.
    Whit an useless raymarine c120w

    • @RaymarineInc
      @RaymarineInc  3 месяца назад +1

      The C120W can accept the feed from an AIS receiver or transceiver that outputs NMEA 0183, SeaTalk NG or NMEA 2000. In Raymarine's current product lineup you could use our AIS350 receiver (E32157) or the AIS700 class B transceiver (E70476.)
      If you are adding AIS to your boat for the first time I will always recommend going with a full, Class-B AIS transceiver because it enhances vessel safety by transmitting your boat's AIS information, in addition to receiving broadcasts from other vessels. Receive-only products like AIS350 let you pick up the broadcasts from other vessels, but don't transmit anything about your boat.
      Both of those models support both NMEA 0183 and SeaTalk NG connections. Your C120W's SeaTalk NG connection is probably the easiest to work with. If you already have a SeaTalk NG network running on the boat and connected to the C120W, you'll simply plug the AIS into the network and data will begin flowing immediately to it. If you don't have SeaTalk NG network setup already, add our STNG Starter Kit, T70134, to your shopping list. It has all the cables you'll need to link the AIS to the C120W. SeaTalk NG is the white connection on the back of the C120W.
      Either of those units could also be connected using NMEA 0183 to the C120W. That is a 4-wire harness built into the C120W's power cable.
      There are a number of 3rd party AIS transceivers and AIS-equipped VHF radios that would also work through those connections. If you choose a 3rd party AIS transceiver with NMEA 2000 output, you would also need to create a NMEA 2000 backbone (similar to SeaTalk NG) and then link the AIS transceiver and C120W to the backbone. You would need cable A06074 to tie the C120W to the NMEA 2000 backbone.

    • @RaymarineInc
      @RaymarineInc  3 месяца назад +1

      If your C120W is in good working order, it is still a great machine. In addition to the AIS I mentioned you can also use it with our HD Color radar scanners. The RD418HD and RD424HD are digital radar scanners that can connect to the SeaTalk High Speed connection on your C120W. Our Magnum open-arrays will work too.
      Through the SeaTalk NG connection on the C120W you can connect to our wide range of i50, i60 and i70 sailing instruments and our Evolution autopilots too.
      The main challenge with running an older C120W is finding up-to-date electronic charts. The C120W uses Navionics electronic charts on CompactFlash memory cards. In the years since the C120W went out of production, the CompactFlash card media has fallen out of favor with the map-makers as the overall size of the electronic charts has gotten larger.
